We had a great time at Alvaro's place. The location right in front of the beach gave us amazing days and sunsets. The only wrinkle: we accepted the proposal of having the house manager do grocery shopping and cook for us one night. The bill came out to almost $1,000 for 8 people (!!!) with questionable receipts. In hindsight, we would have been much better off dining out and doing our groceries. Nevertheless, the owner sorted out the situation well, so we were able to put this issue behind us. All in all, I'd recommend staying at Alvaro's house without the grocery and cooking service.

This is one of the best locations in Los veneros. Everything was great can't wait to go back.

This was a beautiful few days. We were here for a wedding at the W so being so close was perfect! The condo was all we expected and Flor (housekeeper) was so nice and helpful! Our only reason for the 4 star rating was the surprise of very noisy construction happening next door! There was some sort of demolition on the common wall and it sounded like it was inside! A heads up would have been nice! All else was great!

Exceptional home located on the beach. Luxurious finishes and well-appointed. Wonderful kitchen and baths. The private pool was awesome. We loved how the whole back wall opens and you can hear the waves! Fantastic host - very helpful. Check-in and out was easy. Flora cooked for us too! Amazing.

This was not our first stay at Los Veneros resort, but it was our first stay in this unit. We stayed in an identical unit in 1/22, but different building. We chose this unit because it was beachfront/had a private plunge pool and enjoyed both immensely.
The Good: beautiful location, comfortable beds, nicely maintained resort grounds, friendly service from both resort staff and Flor. Flor cooked breakfast/lunch for us for 3 of the days we were there and the meals were fabulous. The television in the main living room had many streaming services to choose from and we watched movies each night. The indoor/outdoor living with the whole back wall that opens up to the back terrace/pool is awesome. No need for air conditioner when it’s open during the day.
The Bad: Upon arrival when we entered the master bedroom/bathroom area we immediately noticed a strong, musty smell. Looking at the air conditioning vents in the master, the kitchen and the TV/4th bedroom visible mold could be seen. It looked like there may be possible water damage from the unit above. The master bathroom and kitchen do not have hot water. There is a very poisonous tree (Manchineel) directly behind the unit in a common area that the resort is responsible for. I got severe contact dermatitis on both hands and legs from touching a chair stored under the tree. A resort worker informed us a small child nearly died from eating the fruit from the tree that is littered on the ground. Beware of this evil tree.

Had a wonderful time for 10 days with three generations of our family. One of the best locations in PV area. Alvaro, the owner, was great help and Flor made all meals very special.
Would highly recommend this vacation location.

This is an incredible unit on an amazing beach with a top notch staff. You can’t beat the location as you’re right on the beach (surf break in front and 45 second walk to the W). We had two families with young kids and we were either in our private pool, at one of the many uncrowded pools at Los Veneros, or in the ocean. We had Flor as a chef for every breakfast and dinner and the food was outstanding! Highly recommend. The whole staff from communication pre check in to cleanliness and attentiveness while we were there was like being at a luxury resort.
We plan to be back soon!

We recently returned from our lovely stay at Los Veneros. This rental is steps from the best beach in the area. The beach is huge, clean, excellent for surfing but also safe to swim. Just in front of the complex there are soccer nets and volleyball nets set up, a place to rent surfboards, and lots of well cared for seats, loungers and sun umbrellas ready for use. The property staff are friendly and helpful. There is a very delicious, well priced beach restaurant at the far end of the beach. The other end of the beach is The W, offering “ok” overpriced food but offers lovely grounds to explore.
This particular unit is in the best location of the complex. Steps from the beach. Close to the complex pools but still very private. The unit offers an excellent layout, lots of space, well furnished and comfortable.
Although daily housekeeping is offered (and Flor is lovely), the unit could use a deep clean and a fresh coat of paint. The washer dryer and dishwasher could also be replaced (the dishwasher didn’t work for us and the dryer is unable to dry 3 towels within a 2 hour period). -but all easy fixes and wouldn’t prevent us from staying here again. This unit is very reasonably priced and if your dates are available I wouldn’t hesitate to book. It books up fast!

We just came back from a weeklong stay at this beautiful property which is even more spacious than the pictures depict. The unit itself is beautiful, comfortable, and stylishly appointed. The area is safe and the beaches are quiet and uncrowded which was perfect for what we wanted. The plunge pool and ability to walk directly to the beach were priceless and the other big pools on site were heavenly. When Flor, her husband, and her daughter Ana were there they were wonderful- she made some amazing meals that were delicious feasts and kept the place looking great. But we had a few hiccups with Flor showing up reliably to make meals on time which was a big deal because we had 5 children under the age of 10 with us. Once she unexpectedly had a broken down car (not her fault obviously) but we didn’t find out until almost 1.5h after dinner was supposed to be served that she wouldn’t be coming and then we had to scramble last minute with hungry/tired children to make something work. Then we didn’t see her for housekeeping for 24h. We also had another night where we had set a time for dinner and they didn’t arrive to start make dinner until 90min after we were supposed to start eating so dinner was over 2h late. This wouldn’t have been a problem if we were all adults but it was hard for all of the young children who didn’t get to eat until past their bedtimes. Communication in both of these instances could have been improved. It would also be better if Flor regularly had her own key to access the unit when we were gone for daytrips. We were asked to just keep the unit unlocked when we left which felt a bit strange with all of our belongings inside- otherwise arranging housekeeping and grocery delivery was a bit tricky. Eventually Flor was able to find an extra key but it felt like this should be the default. Also worth noting for those planning that transportation is relatively expensive if you want to leave the property. Uber technically works but is spotty and somewhat unreliable and is the cheapest option but taxis to Punta Mita, the nearby marina etc will cost close to $30-50USD for a 15-20min drive.

Your initial impression upon arrival will be WOW!
The positives:
It has a breathtaking view.
Steps away from the best beast in the Punta Mita area.
Flor is a wonderful cook - no reason to leave the house.
Safe resort with plenty of staff to assist.
The cons:
Linens/towels are tired and should be replaced.
No outlets in the master bathroom - very strange and somewhat inconvenient if you have a house full of other people.
Wi-Fi is sketchy - would be challenging/frustrating to get work done (if you need to do work while vacationing).
Neighboring property (The W) is a fun property with great restaurants, but can be quite noisy late into the evening hours. We visited during a "quiet" week (mid-January) so staffing was an issue (bars/shops were not open every day) and you couldn't count on shop hours posted.
Overall:
We would definitely stay at Los Verneros Resort again in the future.

Wow! What an amazing place.
We immediately fell in love with this beautiful beach front apartment as soon as we entered. The gourmet kitchen, nice seating areas and the amazing private pool! The rooms are quite spacious, beds and sofa are super comfortable. Best of all, the house keeping ladies Flor and her daughter Anna! What can I say! They are attentive and caring, amazing cooks/bar tender. We love them so much! ❤️ Our family had a wonderful relaxing stay and we're already planning to make this place our yearly gathering event. Highly recommend!

Perfect beachside experience
We loved the condo, location, and location on the property. Steps to perfect beaches. Private, heated pool to enjoy. Comfortable beds and couches. Everything was clean and cleaned daily. There was also a lot of security, which was reassuring.

Great Beach
We have stayed in the PV area before and by far this was the best beach. The Villa was comfortable and staff were great. Great access to the ocean and nice to have a heated infinity pool so close to the beach. If you have a young family it is a great spot.

Five reasons to book this condo
1. The condo opens to your private pool that sits on one of the nicest beaches in the world with few interlopers. 20 yards (?) the to beach and no elevators!
2. The condo is sandwiched between other larger pool options and steps from the food ordering palapa.
3. The layout separates rooms from living area nicely, so partying and sleeping are not at odds.
4. Flor - cancel your reservations at Si Senor and just rely on Flor. She's an incredible chef and way better value. Can't say enough great things about her.
5. Sunsets - golden sunsets every night, and lots of whale spotting during the day. Also, the W techno music is far enough away not to be annoying.
I'm sure I'm missing plenty more, but these were the top of my list.

Perfect holiday.
We stayed 63 days,it was perfect, private pool was warm and cleaned daily.
The beach is endless soft sand, some days I would see 3-4 other people for a mile. The grounds are perfectly maintained with 24hr security. Housekeepers were in everyday. There are some small maintenance issues
that I'm sure have been dealt with. All in all it was money well spent.

So Good
In our family, we have what is called "the epics". They represent the very best holidays that we've enjoyed. Following this holiday, we all agreed that it was the best "epic" we have been on. The beach is perfect, the waves just right. Three pools (2 public, one private) kept us relaxed and entertained. Flor was an excellent host and kept us comfortable and well fed. She's interactive and keen to get to know you and also give you your privacy. The location is private, secure. Close enough to Peurto Vallarta to enjoy the city, but far away enough to not feel its pressures. The residence and surrounding beach were so nice we hardly felt inclined to leave. Let's be honest, this is my first day back at the office and I wish I was still enjoying Veneros.

The place is amazing, the food is so delicious. I was delighted with our stay.
The place is very clean and very nice, I was impressed with how pretty the view is. Having the beach so close is a big plus, as the kids can go play without you having to worry about them as you can see them from the flat. The furniture is in great condition. The food is delicious.

GORGEOUS, SPACIOUS & ENJOYABLE!
The location, house and views were all spectacular. It was actually ready 3 hours before it was supposed to be and our family had a fabulous time. We hired Flor to do our grocery shopping ahead of time and to prepare our meals. It was WELL worth it and so good. Flor prepared breakfast each day for 9 of us, drinks and snacks in the afternoon and we had her do 2 evening meals - Total cost was under $300 USD & included 5 bottles of wine (the other night we went out). She cleaned the house, did the laundry/towels and was very helpful in arranging massage therapists. She of course did all the translating to get what we wanted. The massages were only $25/hr. and were amazing! They were so good, we had them come back on day 2. :) The house is directly on the ocean with spectacular views and the community pool is perfect, just a few steps away. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great stay again. Third or fourth visit and I think this one was the best. Flor is an excellent host and chef, not to mention babysitter! Love the new furniture and all the improvements. Looking forward to the next one.

A wonderful dream
The condo is so beautiful. It is more than the comfortable furniture, but the atmosphere, artwork and views- all magical. The pool is warm and just the right size for our family of 8, but there are 2 larger pools for laps. The ocean is right out front with a sugar sand beach with lots of available lounge chairs, umbrellas and a surf and paddle board instructor. Although the W is close, the beach was surprisingly uncrowned. We were lucky enough to be on the beach when 70 baby turtles were released in the ocean.
Kind and gracious Flor made lunch and dinners for us and each meal was different and delicious. So much better than going out for dinner with young children and a crowd. My grandson wanted mango and she made him a mango on a stick that looked like a flower. Flor and her crew also made sure the house was always clean and stocked with towels. All were great to have around, so fun and charming. We feel completely spoiled.
The house is stocked with boogie boards and beach toys, so just bring your bathing suits.

What a perfect stay!
The house was lovely, quiet, safe and so beautiful. We enjoyed every minute. The pool was warm after the first day, our beds were all so comfortable, the blackout shades in the bedrooms helped with sleeping in. We had Flor make lunches for us and they were DELICIOUS. I can't say enough how great of a trip we had and how happy we were to be based in that house.

Gorgeous views, beautiful accomodation
We loved our stay at Los Veneros! The decor inside is beautiful and the views are even more spectacular. It felt like a house even though it's technically a condo and though you do have neighbors, it is still very private. We also enjoyed being able to walk to the W Hotel right next door for a drink or bite to eat. Flor cooked for us a couple of dinners and lunches and the paella was our favorite dish! It was great having someone cook and clean so we could relax and enjoy. Would definitely recommend! Keep in mind it is a bit of a hike to Puerto Vallarta, but there is plenty to do nearby. We went out on a sailboat and saw whales, went snorkeling at Las Marietas and had a blast. Thanks for an awesome stay!

Great Beach! Great Unit and Flor was awesome!!
Just back from 5 nights with my family of 7 ranging from 16 to 51. The unit has a spectacular setting and view of the ocean with its own pool. Direct beach access, and right next door to the W Hotel where we had dinner one night.
If you love a great beach, water access that is real and right in front of you, no crowds and love seclusion this place is for you....We loved it...A short 15 minute taxi ride or less to Restaurant Row in Punta Mita (Si Signor was great!) or to La Cruz for dinner at Masala (loved it). Did some SUP, surfing and just walked the amazing long beach. Flor made us lunch every day and ceviche the night we arrived and stocked the fridge...Her cooking is fabulous!!!!! She kept the place spotless every day with her daughter....Living room, dining area and patio furniture is great, kitchen is well stocked and the Master has a beach/ocean view. The back 3 bedrooms have no views of the ocean which would have been preferred but the kids did not seem to mind. A queen bed would have been preferred in the room with bunks (we misunderstood that), beds were all very comfy the kids said, while the master bed was of great quality but harder than we usually like (just a preference) Overall we would be back as the overall experience, location and lounging area with full sliding glass wall is amazing !!...Thank you Alvaro for sharing your home

Totally Relaxed
We had a wonderful time! The villa is beautiful and offered everything that you could need. The views are just breathtaking and so relaxing. From the comfort to the delicious meals that were prepared for us, we can not wait to return to Paradise! This was truly a relaxing vacation.

Esperemos podes volver pronto. Muchas gracias !!

Perfect location, amazing villa & great service!
Everything about this property - the location, the grounds and the actual Villa - was perfect for our family of 10. We had young adults as well as some in their late '70s.
Waves right out in front of property, white sand beach with no rocks, great beach club access for pools, drinks and food service on the sand along with your own beach umbrella every day.
Housekeeper, cook, maid led by Flor was everything we needed. The meals, drinks and appetizers were a staple for us at least two meals every day. Laundry was done, if requested and she even went to the grocery store for us to get anything we asked for.
Owner very responsive and helpful with tips and contacts for excursions and other needs.
Negatives? Property is a little remote - meaning you have to drive everywhere for excursions and meals (but we liked this). Taxis can be on the expensive side into Punta De Mita or Sayulita.
Overall, we can' say enough positive things about our trip and this property. I would highly recommend this rental over any we have stayed at before over the years.

wonderful time!
What a terrific place - amazing views. nicely appointed. Flor was a sweetheart and very helpful. The larger pool for Pacifico is also great - heated and so nice at night. Would love to come back.
