About this apartment rental
Fun in the Sun BH102, an adorable condo, is located on the 2nd floor with no elevator access. It offers an open-concept living area provides enough space for your family to sit & relax together. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has two twins. There a two full baths one in each bedroom. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.
This condo unit is conveniently close to the large, heated pool, where you can lounge while enjoying beautiful views of the dunes and Gulf of Mexico.
Take a break from the pool in the onsite game room, which offers foosball, ping-pong, air hockey, and a TV lounge area. Perfect for a family vacation or reunion, there are many shaded seating areas to gather, chat, and enjoy a drink with others. Your kids will enjoy the play structure, and you can enjoy lunch on the picnic tables or use the community BBQ grills for a family cookout.
Pets are not permitted in this unit and smoking is allowed outside only.

There were no sheets for pull out sofa bed and not enough towels. I asked for some when we arrived, they came the next day. The parking was horrendous and I dare to say dangerous! I left a cosmetics bag with medicine in it, somehow it was never found.

Took my daughter and 2 friends and stayed 3 nights, very happy with our condo and pool facilities. The beds were comfortable and furniture was nice except the couch is not very supportive and an area rug in the living room (not in pictures that I reviewed before booking but had been mentioned in other reviews) appears dirty and needs to be cleaned or replaced.

We had a great time and are coming back next year. A couple things: the couch cushions were uncomfortable and the rug by the couch should either be replaced or removed. Overall, the unit was amazing. Everyone I talked with to make the reservation and answer my questions were all very helpful. The location was amazing and so many restaurants to choose from. It was peaceful and outstanding, the view was great, the people were great, and the place was not what we expected. It was better than we thought. Sure at night people on top were loud and heard everything at night, but we had to deal with it all our four days. Other than that, we went to the beach and the beach we were at. Thank you

One of the best in Port Aransas
Beach Head Condos is one of the best condos in Port Aransas. My family and I travel to Port A at least 4 times a year and try to reserve a beach head condo. They are clean, convenient boardwalk and nice pool. My condo this time did need updated smoke alarms and I'd like the owner to know. Safety is extremely important to me when traveling with children. This location of our condo was definitely a prime location and I'm looking forward to returning before schools start. Thank you so much for all the great amenities available to us.

The location, pool and beach access were perfect. The condo was very clean and appropriately stocked with towels, etc. the sofa sleeper was aged and not a comfortable sleeping arrangement. At night when we returned to the condo we would have liked to watch TV, but the equipment was dated and not accessed easily. Parking was a bit odd also. Originally booking said there was an over flow area and we could ask for an additional parking pass but when I asked and one person said yes, the other said no. The confusion of parking passes came from what was posted on the site and then another explanation from the management company. The community was quiet, comfortable and perfect for a family vacation.

Upon arriving in the rental it had a strong odor of some kind of chemical. I immediately called Management and asked if the rental had been fumigated? Management quickly said she didn't know that HOA takes care of that. My question was never answered as I would of expected. Management said they would send maintenance over to our rental. The maintenance man was very polite and courteous. When I asked him if he could smell what all four of us where smelling, he said "honestly, I can't smell anything because I just finished a cigarette"! Maintenance worker said he was called to spray our room with a spray that you refresh your car with. He proceeded to spray new car smell spray into vents which was overbearing and made the smell even worse. Maintenance worker also said HOA takes care of fumigation. I was hoping that they would have accommodated us by putting us in another rental. We loved Port Aransas and the beach!! Our stay in rental was not good. Sofa sleeper was not comfortable, king size bed needs to be replaced and sitting area in living room needed more comfortable sitting chairs.

I’ve stayed at the beachhead for years so I know what to expect. Was happy to see the gameroom has been renovated. Unit 102 was clean and comfortable. I wish we had known what the view would be when we booked but proximity to the heated pool and playground was great.
The walk to the beach is easy!
The kitchen was well appointed except a blender. Bathrooms were clean and plenty of hot water. Would have been nice to have some basic salt and pepper available.
We could hear the neighbors above quite a bit but like I said, I knew to expect that having come here for over 10 years.
The beach head is great for its location to town, the beach. Highly recommend!

I’ve stayed at the beachhead for years so I know what to expect. Was happy to see the gameroom has been renovated. Unit 102 was clean and comfortable. I wish we had known what the view would be when we booked but proximity to the heated pool and playground was great.

Nicer than it looks in photos!
This was a perfect spot for my family and our best friends with two little boys under 1 year! Would book again. Could use some blackout curtains in the twin bedroom though. It was quite warm and super bright during the day and early morning.

I had some issues with my stay the toiletries where like paper. I spent alot of money to stay here and the products were cheap. The pots and pans were so cheap all my meals stuck to them. I left a very expensive MY PILLOW behind and the maid threw it in the trash instead of turning it in to the management team. I was livid I have never in my life stayed anywhere where the maid did not turn your left behind items in to a lost and found. I could not believe the maid threw my pillow away. Roaches were bad. The only issue we had was was a leaky air conditioner vent in the ceiling of the master bathroom. We did send an email and expected maintenance to come and fix it, but... we did not wait around to see if they came. It was still leaking when we left. Hope the next people that stay here can enjoy it as much as we did!

The rental was clean except the carpet in the master bedroom. The smoke detectors were out of code and one didn't have a battery since it was open. The handle on the microwave was broke and there was no view of the beach which the pics lead us to believe especially for almost 300 per night off season.

Port A Escapes Office and customer service was excellent. Super resourceful and gave clear communications leading up to our stay and even after. Beach Head Condo was clean, updated, spacious for 4 adults and was very easy access to the beach. Courtyard included playground for kids, grills, and picnic tables. Pool was always clean and easy access from our room. Will definitely be back to visit and will highly recommend for others!

It was located close to the beach. I really liked the pathway they had that led right to it. The playground was great and easy to get to. The pool was practically outside our door which I loved. The pool I a good size pool. It was never crowded. At most there were three families there at a time, including our family of 5. The physical location of the property was excellent. It was near by tons of gift shops, restaurants, and little coffee or ice cream shops. We had no need to leave our area, everything was close by. About the room had a weird smell to it, kinda chemical. After a day it wasn't as noticeable. I did see two small roaches, one in the toilet and one in a kitchen drawer. I saw the roaches once, but that was the only negative experience I had at this condo. Overall, this place was wonderful. The condo was very spacious and the beds very comfortable. Despite the smell and our tiny housemates, I would come back again.

We had a 3-night stay over Memorial Weekend, 2016 with our 2 grandchildren, ages 10 and 13. We called ahead to let management know we would be arriving about an hour after the office closed. Upon arrival, we actually met the lady with our key, and she left and upon entering our condo (#102), we discovered that it had been overlooked in the cleaning. Beds were not made, towels thrown on the floor, etc. We informed the manager, a very nice lady, who got a maid back immediately, while we went to eat. The next day we left the condo at 5AM for an all-day fishing trip. When we returned, the AC had gone out. Again she got someone out to repair it while we went to eat in our "fishy" clothing. It was cooling when we returned. Roaches were a problem in the kitchen so we kept everything either in the frig or zip-locked in bags. The beds were very comfortable and though the furnishings were older and looked like they were picked up at garage sales, they were comfortable. It is convenient to dining, shopping and the beach. The covered parking at our condo was too low to drive our regular-sized pickup under, so we had to part at the office and walk.

Had a good time. Condo was clean, nicely remodeled & reasonably priced. However the parking in this spot was a bit of a pain. We couldn't get our pick up truck, golf cart or Yukon in the designated parking spot under the car port. The older lady manager was very rude to us on 2 different occasions. She needs to learn some tact, when dealing with customers. There was no need for the banging (not knocking) on our door nor the attitude & rudeness when asking us to move our golf cart or leave the pool area at closing time.

This was a lovely recently refurbished condo in a great location. Close to the beach and the town centre, it more than met our requirements. We didn't swim because it was too cold during Spring Break, but the kids loved the play park. Great option for a small family!
