My husband and I stayed here and the condo was perfect for the two of us. The communication was awesome and checking in was a breeze.
The condo was exactly as described in the listing The kitchen was well equipped and we were very comfortable for our entire vacation. The ocean and mountain views were amazing. We will definitely stay here again.

The condo was very comfortable and nicely stocked. The kitchen was bigger than mine! We loved being up on the 15th floor so we could see the ocean! We could hear the peacocks, and loved how they roamed the property! It did rain some evenings, and we had our own waterfalls in our backyard! We got to meet some neighbors and enjoyed chatting with them! The staff was so nice-they came to say hi and chat a bit! We stayed 4 weeks, and would gladly have stayed much longer if possible. We will most definitely be back!

Very pleasant stay
Condo 1527 was clean and nicely redone and it had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay at Makaha Valley Towers.
This was our 8th rental at MVT in the last 3 years and it’s alwsys been a pleasurable experience.
Bo was easy to contact and very helpful - it’s owners like this that keep us coming back multiple times per year.

Great! No surprises
We had a great time at this condo. The property was as described, neat, clean, well stocked including beach chairs and umbrellas. Perfect size for two people, beautiful views, especially the ocean view from floor to ceiling sliders. Large flat screen TV with DVR, and the wi-fi worked great. The only issue, as mentioned in other reviews, is that MVT is far away from all other parts of Oahu. SR 93 dead ends a few miles past the turnoff to MVT, so to get anywhere you have to back track, have patience, and be prepared to drive a lot. This is great if you want to just stay around MVT but not great if you wish to do a lot of sight seeing. Traffic is very bad at certain times of the day. MVT has a rules for their complex and they enforce them! We loved that as it lends to a much better over all experience for everyone. Although we didn't need to have much contact with the owner, he was available and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

The Condo was very nice, 15th floor, nice views, close to the elevator.
Bo, the owner was very easy to work with. Condo was clean an comfortable. We had a wonderful stay. Snorkeling at Electric Beach across from the Power Plant was the best. Makaha Beach was also good. I went out to where the boats moor and had some nice reef, but I fought a current going back in.

Great Place
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was great to be away from all of the hustle and bustle, but still have quick access to the beach. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Perfectly suitable for our needs.

Great customer service , great apartment , clean and nice design just as you see in the pictures , nice view , safe resort with free parking . Great for whoever wants to stay away from the crowded part of the island but you'l have to drive a bit to get to the nicest spots on the island that are again, crowded :)

Love it here
The view is beautiful, maybe its just the Oregonian in me, but I love mountains. :)
It's very quiet over there and the random sprinkles of rain made me feel like I was home again.
The people who work there are very nice and thank you Bo for letting us stay in your beautiful place.

Excellent view!
We really enjoyed our time there. In addition to the great view, it was really nice having a kitchen and access to the outdoor grilling area (which we used quite a bit.) The management at Makaha Valley Towers is strict with rules so keep that in mind. The good news is that you are absolutely safe there and everything is well maintained and clean.
The whole process of renting from Bo was very smooth and no issues. Would recommend this space if you are looking for a place to stay.

Overall good
For what management can control, the condo was everything that we expected. The condo was clean, had plenty of items to make it feel like home, and was as advertised. It was very nice to be able to sit by the pool in the morning and to barbeque each night.
The location of the condo was a bit disappointing. It is nearly backed up to a mountain and it blocks the sunset every night. The mountain also causes the sun to be no longer visible after 5 every night and that was disappointing to us. Also, the property is home to four peacocks that are incredibly vocal as they start calling back and forth around 6am each morning.
Bo was very nice and very easy to get in touch with. He was interested in making our arrival and stay as comfortable as possible.

More than we expected of a rental condo!
We were extremely happy with our stay at this lovely condo.
It was more than we expected and everything that we could possibly need was there and worked well.
The pool was very clean and well looked after as were all the bbqs outside i lifted the lids and everyone was very clean and looked like new.
The view from the balcony was breathtaking and to see the ocean every morning as we enjoyed our specialty coffee that was left waiting for us to us.
Any corresponding with BO was answered almost immediately.
The bedding and towels were so clean and ready for us to use.
We were even given a rebate because the power had to be turned off for a short time for building maintenance.
My wife and I can not say enough about this very pleasant stay and if we return some day hopefully this unit will still be available.

Great Out-of-the-Way Place to Stay!
This condo is on the 15th floor of a 70's vintage complex comprising several condo towers of like-design - one is 20 stories tall. The Makaha Valley Towers is a clean, well-maintained and secure facility. The Staff is friendly and very accommodating. The pool and BBQ facility are very pleasant and can provide a nice break after busy days if you want one. The condo is freshly remodeled, clean and well-appointed. The VRBO / HomeAway description was accurate and the condo owner was helpful and responsive. The condo's south wall is floor-to-ceiling windows and offers an outstanding view of the valley and Makaha Beach from 15 floors up!
We spent two weeks here, our first time in Hawaii. Due to the leeward shore location, one must do some driving to visit Oahu's attractions, and Honolulu's traffic is heavy, but we didn't find that overly burdensome. Timing is everything, and traveling after rush hour worked out fine. We appreciated the quiet of this condo's location, and, again, the facility management runs a "tight ship" so that all who live here (residents and renters) have the best experience.
When driving around the Makaha Valley, one will note the generally depressed condition of the area - this was probably the only negative aspect of our experience in Hawaii. One simply has to be aware of one's surroundings when out-and-about and the admonitions of taking care of one's belongings holds true. That said, we never felt uncomfortable interacting with the locals - as I said, you just have to be aware. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly towards us.
On the leeward shore, we totally enjoyed snorkeling at Ko Olina Beach Park (man-made lagoons) and Pokai Bay Beach Park (rock wind-break). Saw tropical fish and a couple of sea turtles. The beach at Makaha Beach Park offers ocean swimming and surfing but can be challenging at times due to high wind and waves - warning flags will be posted on the beach as conditions warrant. As noted above, getting to Oahu's other attractions will require some driving; we enjoyed the WWII memorials and exhibits at Pearl Harbor, the Diamond Head hike, China Town, the Dole Plantation, and many sight-seeing drives around the island.
To sum up, we're not fans of lodging in the big city, so this condo suited us very well. As noted above, for us, it rates five-stars.

The apartment was nice & clean and an amazing view
The apartment was nice and clean. The view was awesome! The complex is very secure and the guards at the gate take their jobs seriously. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Lillian was very helpful! The kitchen was well supplied with kitchen gadgets, lots of fridge space, condiments for sandwiches & hamburgers. It felt like we were staying at a good friends home. Thank you Bo & Lilian!

Home Away from Home
Bo would respond quickly to our emails and was very accommodating. The condo is beautiful; exactly as shown in the pictures provided. When we walked into the condo, we were pleasantly surprised to find a welcome letter and a box of chocolates. Such a great way to start a vacation! The condo had all the necessities you would need on vacation, including a fully equipped kitchen. The comfortable bed, air conditioning, and amazing view made it difficult for us to get out of bed everyday! The location was perfect for us because we wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Besides the periodic sounds of the free roaming peacocks, the area was serene and beautiful. The beaches are a short drive away and are SO worth it! Although my girlfriend and I are originally from Oahu, we went out and explored a new beach every day. We ended up cooking at the condo for most of our trip but definitely suggest trying Hannarah's in Waianae for some amazing banana pancakes and/or hamburger steak. If you're in the mood for some Chinese food, try Cathay Inn Chop Suey. Everything on their menu is on point but if I had to suggest one dish I would say have the crispy gau gee. Delicious! We plan to stay at Bo's condo again and the only thing I would hope have changed by then would be that there be beach supplies for guests to use (i.e. beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, etc.).
