The size is good, but the level of pet dander made some in our group uncomfortable. We don't like the idea of bringing our own linens. It's an older house, and showing some wear. We like the natural light. In the upstairs bed rooms, we had trouble finding a comfortable temperature for sleeping. We had children with us, and don't like the idea of having a man in the basement.

Wonderful layout and location!

We traveled to Lake Junaluska for a conference and ordination. Kathy communicated well leading up to our check-in. She answered questions, provided thorough details, and responded quickly to communication both prior to and during our stay. This home is lovely and was a comfortable place to land for a week. We would definitely return in the future.

Wonderful home- great layout for teens and our toddler. Beautiful setting, friendly neighbors, cooking essentials were all there and plenty of seating to eating and visiting. Very responsive host!

We were all there for my oldest son’s wedding
The house and location is beautiful. Owner was very helpful. Will be returning when not such a rush. But thank you for the use of your beautiful home. We had great time.

Great house! Comfortable beds, plenty of room, laid out well. Great communication!

Nice house, clean. Really close to neighbors. Wasn’t a big fan of bringing my own linens, towels, dish cloth, etc. There wasn’t enough toilet paper. And check out wanting you to make beds empty dishwasher and still charge $90 cleaning fee! Thanks for the stay but 1 and done!

This is a great location and stay if you're traveling to Lake Junaluska or surrounding area. The owner is a text or email away with any needs or questions, making sure her guests are taken care of.
I can't say enough good things about this clean and spacious property.

Frim the day we booked this property until the hour we locked the door our stay was perfect. The house is super spacious with plenty of room for 4 house guests as well and an additional 4 that joined us for a cook out on the large deck. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable and safe.
An unexpected joy was the communication with the owner, Kathy. She answered every question we had and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was first rate.
A bonus was the beautiful mountain view from the end of the driveway. I am putting this property on the top of my favorite VBRO mountain property list. I will DEFINITELY be back!!!

We stayed here for the lake junaluska conference. It’s the perfect house for convenience to the lake and is minutes away from Waynesville and Maggie Valley, and about a 30 minute drive to Asheville. We thoroughly enjoyed the large and shady deck, and even though it’s in the middle of a neighborhood it still felt very private and peaceful. Older style house is charming and had lots of room for us (3 couples and our mom). Our mother enjoyed a bedroom on the main floor with its own bathroom and she was able to not have to deal with stairs to get to the deck since those were on the main floor. We really appreciated the extra parking space our host made, plus if you happen to have a mini-cooper/smallish car, you could pull one car up as far as the parking area will let you, then just park the little car behind it, so we were able to accommodate our 4 vehicles! The only suggestion to our host would be to label the light switches lol! We had a great time here-thanks again 😁

This house was perfect for our family. We were in town for a wedding and we enjoyed cooking meals and sitting together in the main room and on the deck to visit. I didn’t remember the note about no towels and lines when I made the reservation, but Kathy sent a reminder and when I had a question about it, the reply came within minutes. Would absolutely recommend this property.

This was one of the best maintained places we have used. the owner was fantastic and very responsive. Great documentation, and information was spot on! It was a guys golf outing and we found good restaurants close by and some great golf!

Our family spent the weekend in Maggie Valley . The house was warm and welcoming . We built a cozy fire one evening while playing games and drinking hot chocolate . The house was close to the main road in Maggie Valley , shopping, restaurants , tubing within minutes.
Kathy’s communication and consideration went above and beyond . We are hoping to return next year !

Plenty of room for the seven of us, table, comfortable chairs, fun games. Beds upstairs could use new mattresses.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Kathy’s home. It was exactly as described. It was easy to get around Lake Junaluska as well as the surrounding areas. We loved sitting on the front porch and looking at the fall leaves. The home had plenty of comfortable seating areas and plenty of space for us to spread out. Kathy was very responsive and very helpful. The home was clean and safe. We will return again for sure!

Had a great time, weather was perfect for getting out and enjoying the fall activities. Kathy’s house was just as described very clean and neat. Spent one afternoon walking around nearby Lake Junaluska. Beautiful! Cruised up the parkway several times and saw the sunset at Waterock knob. I don’t have words to describe that experience but many pictures. Rode the Great Smoky Mountains railroad train from Bryson city past Fontana Lake . Lots of fun!
Thanks Kathy for letting us stay in your lovely house.

The most disappointing aspect of this stay was the condition of the furnishings. The living room furniture and beds are in a very shabby state. The property should have all new bedding, and living room furniture to qualify for the price I paid.
Also the "instructions" for the vacating the property made us wonder exactly what the "housekeeper" does to earn their salary?
We have stayed in VRBO offerings in that area numerous times but this is the first time to be disappointed with a property.

Clean and comfy house. Felt at home here. We enjoyed our stay to the Smokey Mountains.

iis old and needs to be replaced. My wife and i did not sleep all week.

Very homey vibe in nice quiet neighborhood. Good for a lower-key getaway yet great access to nearby groceries, restaurants in very closeby Waynesville and Maggie Valley. There are 4 private bedrooms: with 2 on the first floor each with en suite baths and 2 upstairs that share a Jack and Jill bath; good for families or an all- adult group. Full kitchen, laundry, spacious living/dining area and a good layout lends itself to multiple activities. An older property but with some updates and an inviting character. Hiking, Cataloochee Elk-watching, Blue Ridge Parkway nearby for day trips. Host is responsive and helpful. Didn't use any TV. Wifi available but cell service a little weak. Adjacent to Lake Junaluska activities and conference grounds and lake trails. No views but setting is a leafy residential neighborhood with a nice porch and deck. Would stay there again for a similar getaway with friends.

We just LOVE coming to Lake Junaluska! This was our first time at this particular home. We were looking for enough space to comfortably house kids, Grandpa, my husband and me as well as Dad's dog. This home was perfect. I have stayed in many Junaluska properties and I was pleased that this one was felt more fresh and spacious then I had imagined based on the photos. Our host was easy to work with and always got back to me in a timely manner even returning communication late on the first night due to an issue with the sheets. It is a bit inconvenient that you have to provide all of your linen (thus the 4 stars for check in ) but that is very common at these Lake Junaluska properties. Overall great experience!!

Excellent check in process. Very clean and homey. Provided everything you need to cook with.
Owner very nice and responsive. Very convenient to everything at the lake and surrounding areas. We really enjoyed our stay.

Just right
Great location! Reserved for yearly conference at Lake Junaluska and it was super close. House was sweetly furnished with antiques and we loved all the quilts. Back deck was very shady and even with the close proximity of the neighbors it was still peaceful and quiet. Neighborhood is very close to gas stations, restaurants, grocery stores, and be sure to check out charming downtown Waynesville. Cherokee might be 20 minutes away as well. Host was super quick to respond to questions. We already rented this house for next year’s conference.

Charming house in lovely setting
Very charming, comfortable house in lovely and convenient location. I ended up coming by myself with my dog and felt completely safe. It was a wonderful place for a quiet rejuvenation! Communication with owner was exceptionally easy and quick. Highly recommend house for Individual, couple, or small group…well stocked with everything you need. Would love to come back in cooler weather and use the wood burning fireplace for fall or winter getaway as well!

Spacious house with access to the lake, and easy drives to everything the area has to offer. Quiet neighborhood is a plus! Everything about the house is as-advertised.
The owner was quick to respond to all our inquiries prior to arrival. Very easy to work with.

Home was as described. Decorations made if feel like home. Loved that we could take my two fur babies. Only down side was that we were not told of the renters in the basement and caused me a fright! They were friendly. I just did not realize they were there. I did feel bad as there were 7 us of and when we grilled on the deck they were directly below us cooking also. Be careful due to road construction we arrived at night and stepped out the side door to the deck and and stepped on the rug which slipped out from under him. (deck just refinished) very slick at night or when damp. He fell very hard. He was ok but very sore. We really enjoyed the board games. I enjoyed the books. While the men did there thing the women stayed and read and rested and sat on the porch. Loved the animals ! I also wish the recliner was replaced. I sits well but has several patches and when I sat down one came off, it does not recline. Also to be honest none of these were big enough to call the owner about. She was fabulous. Would stay again.
