Narrow Escape Rental sits in a quiet neighborhood in the village of Elberta with a short walk to Betsie Bay, just a half mile from the shores of Lake Michigan and one mile around the bay from Frankfort. Our 1200 square foot rental has a private back yard with a privacy fence that backs up to a wooded bluff, and is just 150 yards from Elberta’s waterfront park and the Life Saving Station — a popular venue for weddings and events.

The area is full of recreational outdoor opportunities and a number of good coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques and art galleries. In addition to typical amenities, the rental includes five bicycles for exploring the area. Internet service and a gas grill is also available.
The house has a roomy main living space with a comfortable seating arrangement. The three bedrooms include beds of the following sizes: a queen in the master bedroom, a queen size in room 2, and three single (twin size) beds in room 3 (a built-in bunk with an extra third bed). The dining table seats six people, and the bathroom includes a washer and dryer for your convenience. The kitchen is furnished with custom cabinets, a full-size stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, electric stove, coffeemaker, dishes and utensils.

We had the best time at Clark’s home! Was so much fun and perfect for our 1 year old and 2 year old. They had plenty of room to run and play both inside and outside. Location was perfect and Clark was a great host! Definitely recommend staying here to anyone!

We love the area and the house was clean and well stocked. Awesome location - my preschooler loved being able to walk to the park after dinner. Plenty of dishes, sharp knives, cotton sheets, plenty of pillows and towels.

You will be so happy that you picked this gem of place in Elberta to book your stay! This house is super clean, had everything that we needed and it was decorated so beautifully. Simply put wow! We travel up to the Frankfort area frequently but have never stayed in Elberta. We loved our stay. The cottage is a short walk to the waterfront park and just a little farther to bluffs overlooking Lake Michigan.
The home is nicely renovated with a mid century modern vibe. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was large with stackable washer/dryer. Stainless steel appliances. Grill and fire ring in the yard. Clark was very great to work with and we will be back.

We stayed for a weekend in early October. This home was clean, quiet, and comfortable with nice decor. The property manager was friendly and helpful with suggestions for activities and dining options.

Just right for our purpose. Explored area. Found great restaurants. Played table games . Together we intentionally pulled together memories of parents’ and family’s lifeline in written form with goal of passing it on to our children.

This house was perfect for our parent/teen/grandparent vacation! Easy access to Elberta and Frankfort beaches, biking trails, great restaurants, and many ice cream options. Property was exactly as listed and owner was awesome. Great place!

The house was a great fit for all of us. We like to share a house with a couple who also has a daughter the same age as ours when visiting the area. It’s a nice quiet location close to beaches, parks and biking trails. I loved having amenities to get us through a week and the beds were comfortable for us. The house is beautiful and we loved staying here.

The weather didn’t cooperate for our vacation, but where we stayed did! We were pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of our rental. It was situated across the bay from Frankfort and was very close to some of the highlights of the northwestern Michigan area.
We were able to keep in touch with Clark Most, the owner, who, by the way, is an excellent photographer!

Clark' s home is clean & offers great location to Betsie lake, Elberta Beach, and town of Frankfort & Frankfort Beach. Its in a quiet neighborhood yet walking distance to the new Furnace Street distillery with pizza food truck & amphitheater on Betsie Lake with music on Mondays. Only a 5 min drive to Frankfort its a great place. Communication with owner is great, home has everything as described in listing. Lots of local areas to fish nearby too! This is our 4th time staying here and we would stay again.

We had a great stay at this property and it was the best place we've rented in the area over the past 10 years we've been coming here. My only wish was for better pillows, sheets, comforters but I was glad I didn't have to bring them all for the beds (which I've had to do in the past). The owner was very communicative and friendly and did everything possible to make our stay a great one. Highly recommend!

Pleasant and Quiet Stay
The property matches the description and photos perfectly. The home sits in a quiet, out of the way neighborhood with no traffic. It has simple access to a nearby highway which allowed us to use it as a launchpad while we toured the beautiful countryside, lakes, and attractions.
The property offers multiple amenities such as bicycles and a fire pit. Our host was helpful and provided a wealth of information that improved our stay. He ensured that everything was ready and comfortable. There were plenty of towels and all the other things that other owners sometimes miss.
We would definitely stay with this host again.

Art-Filled Getaway in a Great Location
We loved our week in Elberta! This was the perfect rental for our family (mom, dad and two teen boys). Plenty of space, clean, a well-appointed kitchen, comfortable bedrooms - this home has it all. Nice, quiet location yet close to everything. Clark is a wonderful host and fills his home with amazing art. So much to enjoy!

Great location for beaches, hiking, shopping and summer fun
Our family stayed here for a week starting with the 4th of July holiday. We found the house to be clean and well maintained. It was a great location to enjoy the beach of Lake Michigan, biking, hiking, shopping...anything you would want to do in Northwestern Michigan. The host communicated very well. We would love to stay again.

Nice west Michigan home
The house is located within walking of the water and several nice restaurants. The rest of our family was staying at Sleeping Bear National Park which was a nice easy drive. The location of the house makes it easy to get to surrounding towns and is a nice retreat at the end the day.

the property is in an excellent location to the beach and to serve as a hub to venture out for other activities. The Betsie River trail is awesome also.

This lovely home was in a perfect location to enjoy all the outdoor activities at Sleeping Bear National Seashore! The house had all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay and was very clean and roomy.

This property is a great place to stay! We picked this home because our daughter was getting married at the Elberta Life Saving Station which is in walking distance from this home. The home was very clean and comfortable. It has everything you need. The owner is quick to respond if you need anything. We will definitely come back!

Another great stay
This was our second time we stayed and was not disappointed. The home is always clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils and toiletries. The yard is big enough for kids to throw football and kick soccer ball around. Grill worked great. The home is 2 mins from Elberta beach which we enjoyed many beautiful sunsets. Frankfort is a 5 min drive which has alot of restaurants and shops. We took day trips to Glen Arbor to kayak and see Sleeping Bear Dunes. It's a great location and good space. We will be back again.

Great Location
Location was great, close to beaches and beautiful lookouts. We enjoyed day trips up to Traverse and Mackinac Island.
My only slight complaint was the view from home. A truck/trailer with welding supplies was parked directly in front of the home.
Owner is super friendly and responsive! We would stay again.

Thanks for the hospitality
Clark’s place in Elberta was perfect. There was plenty of space for an larger group to sleep but it was just myself and my girlfriend. The house was really clean and I loved the fire pit and gas grill outside. The location is good as you’re around the corner from Main Street where there is food and shopping and a short drive to some of the many scenic hikes. Would definitely recommend staying with him and would for-sure stay with him again if we ever return.

The house was as described, comfortable, clean and in a quiet spot. We liked the very short drive to Frankfort and it's a great starting point for trips to Sleeping Bear, Glen Arbor, Empire Bluffs and much more. Would stay again!

The coolest house in a coolest part of Michigan.
Clark respond right away to an questions or concerned. Love the whole feel of the house. Will be back to explore more of Michigan and have another dinner at the Cabbage Shack.

Cute house in quiet lake town
Our family of six had a great stay at this house. It was clean and comfortable, all the necessities were present. Clark went above and beyond to make sure the bikes were in good condition and ready for us to use. Easy access to the bike path and a quick ride to the park by the Life Saving Station on the lake. Highly recommend this property. And the kids loved the singing Billy Bass, haha!
