About this house rental

Don't choose a house out of site of the lake, Sit on the 2nd story deck and look over the lake in the summer, fall, winter, or spring. Our house is conveniently located in walking distance to the restaurants, or split rock. The Lake is directly across the street and there is a public access point! Hickory Run state park is a 10 minute drive for hiking trails. For the winter our house is 1.5 miles from Big Boulder and 3 miles from Jack Frost ski area. The house has 5 bedrooms all equipped with full/king size beds, downstairs living area includes sofa bed Futon and king. Spacious living area includes a coal/wood stove, flat screen TV's on both floors with free Wi-Fi. French doors going out to the front upper deck viewing Lake Harmony. Walking distance to restaurants and pubs. Split Rock attractions are just a mile away. Hickory Run State Park 7 miles away. We take great pride in giving families a great family experience to remember forever. We will help our renters with whatever we can. We also include Kayaks for our renters. My friends and I stayed at your house for our annual old guys weekend to catch up, the house was better than advertised, there is a great view from the deck, and we plan to stay there in future years if its available. Thank you for your great hospitality.

We had such a great time at this house. It is located in a perfect area in Lake Harmony. There is a beautiful view of the lake. There is plenty of room for more than one family. It was so nice to have an entertainment area downstairs for the kids. The home is beautifully appointed - some really neat antiques. It would be great to have a dishwasher, but it still worked out wonderfully. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Where to begin: There is NO BEACH. Throw rugs were filthy. Upper and lower decks had peeling paint and looked like a frat house. Oven and grill did not work. Living room window was badly broken with protruding glass. The owner sent a maintenance man, who repaired the window by taping cardboard on both sides. Eventually, they replaced the stove. Still no beach, even though a pristine beach is pictured. The deck, with a beautiful view of the lake, is uncomfortable because it is unkempt. After speaking with VRBO and the owner, we tried get a refund and/or go somewhere else. The owner said no refunds, even though the property was fraudulently represented. It's a shame because the actual house could be quite beautiful but has not been cared for in years. The cabinets and fridge had a lot of food, leaving little space for our food. We were hugely disappointed and upset, as we looked forward to this much needed vacation.

This home is beautiful, clean, and spacious! Fit everyone in my family wonderfully and we loved the location! We loved the welcome note we saw as soon as we walked in the door! The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s way bigger than it looks! I can’t wait to stay here again!

The home was absolutely lovely! It was spacious, clean, and had a lot of things present like cooking supplies, magazines, Jenga, air hockey, and a lot of candles! Very accommodating with our requests, such as putting sheets on the beds for us prior to us arriving. The location was perfect to go to restaurants such as Shenanigans, Piggy's, and Nick's Lake House. A quick drive to Split Rock Resort and Jack Frost mountain. There was also a beautiful view of the lake! We all had a very great time and would definitely book with the Wainwright's again for our next trip to the Pocono's.

Property is in great condition and perfect place for a weekend or week get away. Location is great and lake right down over the hill. Restaurants and bars within walking distance. Can easily sleep 12 people or more.

This was my last outing with my Girl Scouts so we were going out in style (no tents on this trip!!). The girls, a bunch of 13 year olds, and I absolutely loved this house and its location. It was an easy drive to Hickory Run State Park and Whitewater Challengers. The added bonus of using their access to the private beach across the street for swimming and kayaking was definitely a highlight of this trip! The house was cute and comfortable and very clean. There is a top floor and a bottom floor so separate families could stay here with no problems whatsoever. Jeff and Jen were fabulous! Jen called me hours prior to the start of our trip to let me know they were having an issue with the water pressure. They had someone come out around dinner time on Friday to fix the problem so we would have water when we arrived later Friday night. It was nice to rent from people who really care. Do not hesitate to stay here!

We had a wonderful stay in the Wainwright’s vacation home. It is so conveniently located - walking distance to the stores, and more. The house was great with plenty of room to spread out and it is beautifully furnished and exceptionally stocked with everything you might need! There were so many nice touches from the antique sewing machine and typewriter to the spectacular view of Lake Harmony. The owners of the property were so friendly! A perfect place for a family trip! We only wish we could have stayed longer!

House has plenty of bedrooms, great for sharing with family or friends. It is located within walking distance to Nick's Lake House, Piggy's and Shananigans. Split Rock Resort is only a couple minutes away, right down the road, nice indoor waterpark! Owners are very kind and will answer any questions you have during your stay. Gas Grill worked great -- lit right up. Pets considered as well!! Nice time

The house was very cozy for my group of friends and I. We felt as if we were at home. The view from the upper deck was gorgeous, including the view of the lake. The owners let it be known that they were willing to assist and accommodate us if needed. I would highly recommend this home to anyone that wants to be in a relaxing environment and also not far from the ski site in the winter time. Thanks Jen and Jeff for a great stay .

The house overlooks the lake for great views and right down the street from couple bars and restaurants. The owners were very accommodating and everything was clean when we arrived. The layout and set up was great. We had 6 adult woman with more than enough space could have easily fit more people. Definitely recommend.

We have stayed twice at this house. The house is very comfortable for our group of 6 adults and 4 kids. The location is fantastic. Even without snow we found plenty of things to do within 30 mins of the house every day! Views of the lake are gorgeous and the owners are so friendly and helpful. Available if you need them! We will definitely be back next year!
