This property was perfect for our needs. We had plenty of space for everyone and everything in the kitchen that we needed. Having the extra refrigerator on the porch was a plus. The younger kids enjoyed the swings and slide. The older ones enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboat. The pontoon boat was enjoyed by all. Tina and Tammy were very responsive and answered all our questions quickly. We stayed here 2 years ago and enjoyed it even more this time. Great place for large families. Only downside would be sharing outside space and things (kayaks and paddleboat) with renters across the street. They can drop by whenever they want so just be aware. We got along with first group really well; the second group were not quite as considerate (leaving things out and not picking up after themselves). But it was just a minor annoyance. Overall, a really great space to vacation. We would return again.

Wonderful Property
This was a great place for our family of 8 adults, a three year old and two infants. There was plenty of room to spread out and also areas to all be together! There was a lot of choices for things to do both in the house ( on a rainy day) and outdoors. We loved the paddle boat, kayak, pontoon, yard games and the play area. As a family we were able to cook (and we found everything we needed to do so) and there was room outside or in to all eat together.

Everything we needed!
We had a WONDERFUL time at Balsam Lake. It is a very fun little town and the house had everything we needed. We enjoyed renting the pontoon (a last minute request that was a life saver for us!!!!), the kayaks, paddleboat, yard games, playground equipment for my grandson, and the amazing fire pit. We had 9 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The kitchen was well stocked with all appliances. We used the Blackstone grill everyday. Thanks to Tanya, Tina and Tammy for all their hospitality! It is a 5-star!

Property was clean and everything as expected. Some good bar/restaurants in town. Rented a pontoon and ventured onto beautiful Balsam Lake. Would stay here again for sure.

Great location and house!
What a great time with our family, sharing the house was large enough, nice location right on the lake and close to town to be able to participate in the winter festivities. Ample supplies of towels, paper towels, garbage bags, exc. Nice view and lawn set up with bonfire pit and gradual elevation. kid friendly with game/toy options.

Great place
We loved our stay! Great location and plenty to do. We rented the pontoon boat 1 day when all the family was here and had a great time. Took the paddle boat numerous times, everyone had a ride, and we all enjoyed it. Took a lot of long walks and ate out several times. We highly recommend Thirsty Otter, Balsam Lake Cafe and Doc's Pub. The hosts were easy to contact and very helpful and responsive. The house had everything we could possible need. Lots of room and we enjoyed the fireplace and games. Campfire was wonderful. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Balsam Lake in Raskin Bay
Our yearly family vacation featured kayaking, fishing & cruising around on our pontoon and lounging by the huge fire pit! There was ample space to enjoy yard games. Nice entertaining space inside and plenty of beds to accommodate our group! A wonderful time was had by all of us!

Wonderful place, beautiful lake, fantastic amenities!
We had such an amazing time here at the lake with family and friends. Plenty of beds for a larger crowd, and space throughout the house and property to spread out enough to stay entertained. You can play board games, read a book, take a nap on a hammock, do some fishing, take out the kayaks or boat, roast s’mores, put on a show if the kids need a physical break. We highly recommend this place to any families or groups looking for a fun getaway. Very satisfied guests here, and we will happily come again.

Excellent Trip
This cabin is well worth the stay. It's got everything you need. It's very quiet in the bay. Not great for swimming, but a little trip out to the lake works nicely. Plus, public beach is nearby.. Two refrigerators are great for food, beverages and ice. Really nice fire pit. Highly recommend.

Cute and clean
Great, chilly weekend on Balsam Lake! The fireplace was a great asset, as well as the outdoor fire pit. House is so clean, has a nice view of the little cove and has lots of room to social distance, if you're looking for that. Would definitely recommend any time of year!

Home away from home
We had our first family get away here to celebrate the graduation of my twin boys and there future endeavors! The cabin location and morning sunrise view of Lake Balsam is calming and breathtaking. Plenty of parking and storage, brand new washer and dryer with cozy beds and linens, truely made to feel welcomed. Throughout our stay we had extended friends and family visit being able to pack less with a lot of the nice amenities included made packing light a breeze. We loved the rooms having multiple sleeping options that met the needs of all of us from the kids wanting to share rooms to adults that wanted their own. The owners of this cozy family cabin are exceptional and take the extra length to ensure your stay is comfortable and accommodated to your needs. Hence, feeling personable and caring- like a home away from home. We had an awesome time-thank you!

Family Vacation
The house and property was very accommodating for a large group gathering. Plenty of beds and great location to the water. The fire pit was an enjoyable gathering spot and for cooking. My only feedback for improvement would be a larger weber grill was needed and a new washing machine. Otherwise, we found everything enjoyable. Would recommend this home

Wonderful Family memories made and enjoying watching grandchildren growing up.
Wonderful place, good location, quiet neighborhood, clean house and we loved the backyard and quiet bay. Granddaughters enjoyed learning to kayak and running the paddle board all on their own.

Great family house.
The Getaway on Balsam Lake was a great family house. We had 6 adults and 5 children under the age of 8 (one was a baby). Perfect for kids as they had a child bed, a crib, and a pack n play. Plenty of beds for all the others. Also had a highchair. The bedrooms upstairs were set up a little strange, but it all worked out for us. We did walk to the public beach one day with all the kids, which was a short distance. They loved it as it was zero entry and could see some little fish swimming around. Nice for the little ones. The outdoor space at the house was very nice. The kids spent a lot of time on the swings, slide & sandbox. We had a fire one night in the awesome fireplace (wood provided). We had our own fishing boat, but a paddle boat and kayaks were also provided with the house. In addition, we rented their pontoon. The place was clean. Being right on the lake was nice, however, the downside was being in the weedy bay and not being able to actually see the entire lake. Swimming off the dock area was not an option due to the weeds and shallowness. There was a weed-eating machine which came through while we were there and that made the bay much more desirable to look at. The house had a nice sun room with toys for kids and also a nice deck which overlooked the bay. The owners were very good about communicating which is always a plus. All in all, it was a great stay and very kid friendly!

Great location lots of room
We enjoyed our stay lots of great memories on the lake. The fire pit at night was lots of fun. This is not a swimming location! Bay full of weeds. Overall you can't beat lake life! Memories forever.

Nice clean cabin perfect for large family reunion
We enjoyed our long weekend stay. The cabin has beautiful landscaping and a great view of the bay. Enough room for our huge family and plenty of things to do. The kids enjoyed the playground and the adults enjoyed stand up paddle boarding, pontooning, and fishing. The bay is big enough to be the perfect paddle board playground with zero waves which is nice if you're just learning to paddle board. The fire pit is perfect for evening campfire and comes with a large grate for cooking which we loved.
