We really enjoyed the views from the kitchen, hot tub and deck. It was a wonderfully secluded hideaway with convenient access to Calistoga and the wineries.

Quiet and convenient area

Super quiet stay - really enjoyed the hot tub since there was a bit of rain. Sweet place in extremely private area. So many wineries in the area and the town of Calistoga was very close by!

Great stay. Excellent set-up and lots of extras in the property.

The Hacienda is a beautiful home in a gorgeous area of Calistoga. It provided the perfect home base for our tour of Napa and Sonoma wineries.
4.7
Very relaxing setting. A beautiful property with great views. Enjoyed sitting on the deck watching sunsets. Host was attentive and communicative. Highly recommend for a Napa getaway and still close to shops and restaurants.

Leigh was awesome at welcoming us to her property. Beautiful mountain setting. Lots of amenities. Had a relaxing weekend to unwind and enjoy Napa Valley. Enjoyed cooking dinners at the house and eating outside. The house is a throwback to yesteryears and great to get away from the world. Beds were comfortable.
4.7
The first thing we saw when approaching the house was an algae dripping fountain filled with green slime. We were asked to water plants and were given a tour where we were told all the “what not to do”. I get that we are using someone’s home (and it was obvious that someone was living there prior to our arrival) however, it felt like we displaced whoever lived there.
4.7
Leigh, the host, is charming and easily accessible. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the view is stunning. Watching sunsets are a must. There is plenty of almost anything you would want in the kitchen and bathrooms.
Some of the items in the home need some updating but those are easy to overlook.

Great location just 10 minutes to Calistoga. Take the shortcut road that goes through spectacular vineyards; but you probably need an SUV / 4x4 for this.
We loved relaxing on the huge porch with great views. Nice sunsets. Ton of stars. Brought my camera and captured the Perseid Meteor Shower one night.

Our family was fortunate enough to stay at the Hacienda for four days just before the 4th of July Holiday. It was to perfect location as it was close to Santa Rosa, Windsor, Calistoga, and St. Helena, but it was pleasurably far away from them at the same time. Once you're at the Hacienda, a quirky residence complemented by Mexican arts and antiquities, you are almost at the top of everyone with absolute privacy and incredible sunsets! The owner is a wonderful person, a joy to converse with, and an impeccable host! I highly recommend this location to travelers and locals who want to escape.

The hacienda was a fantastic location for our trip to Napa! Nestled in the mountains with a clear view of nature was not only beautiful, but therapeutic for our souls:-). Leigh is a wonderful property manager, explained the workings and “quirks” of the hacienda upon arriving and was available for any questions we had! (She even shared a beautifully rugged shortcut to town). Many basic condiments, seasonings and warm beverages (coffee and tea) were already available upon arrival; it was one less thing to purchase and so helpful! We were able to sit out on the deck, rest and regroup for the next day’s activities in the hot tub or on the deck with a glass of wine.

This was an amazing place to catch up on some sleep and and recharge. We loved how cute the place was and how comfortable the beds were.
4.7
This place was amazing! It was a little further out, but not too far from everything. It gave you peace and quiet while still being close enough to do things. The deck and hot tub were amazing! Overall, I highly recommend!
4.7
We really enjoyed the patio. Beds were comfy. Tons of spices and condiments. Also jad a nice assortment of teas.

Leigh you have a beautiful home, and are a lovely host! Thank you for sharing your amazing space with us!

Upon our arrival we were greeted by our host Leigh, who was warm, friendly, and welcoming. We received a very thorough tour of the Hacienda, which was stocked with everything you could possibly need, inside and out. A beautiful home nestled in the mountains with very easy and quick access to the town of Calistoga. Wineries, shops, restaurants were many. I highly recommend the Hacienda for a relaxing and stress free stay. Enjoy!!

Leigh house is tucked in the hills outside of Calistoga, and the access in and out of town was very easy. The house was clean, and the kitchen well stocked with utensils as well as spices and other condiments. Leigh met us at the home and walked us through heaters, lights, fireplace, hot tub, etc… and while we never saw her again, she was always available to answer any questions we had. There were 4 of us staying in the house and it felt very spacious. I imagine the views and night sky are gorgeous from her property, but unfortunately it rained throughout our stay … clearing on the day we left. I guess we will just have to make a return visit!

Enjoyed the stay. The Hacienda was clean and nicely appointed. In particular I appreciated the many staples in the kitchen - made our quick stay easy to manage with our extensive shopping. The view is as beautiful as advertised and the deck affords great access to it. It’s worth knowing The second bath is, as some have commented, a bit cramped and might be difficult for some who have lots of primping needs. For us it was serviceable and we managed just fine. Check in window is tight as an outta town traveler but with a little communication and coordination with Leigh it worked out just fine. (And we knew that going in) Overall we were very well pleased with our stay. Thanks Leigh for sharing your Hacienda with us.

The Hacienda is a very charming casita in a lovely Calistoga mountain setting -- and Leigh is a very charming host! The house was stocked with all of the essentials needed for our stay - including toilet paper, which was very refreshing! :) The space is comfortably furnished and the kitchen and dining spaces are fully outfitted for cooking and enjoying meals together. We loved the wrap-around deck and my husband made daily use of the hot tub. The property is further off the beaten path than I typically care to go when I'm visiting places, but its unique vibe made that a feature rather than a bug. A great stay overall!

Own stay was lovely and the house was as listed. We enjoyed the view and the deck area everyday.

Staying at Leigh's Hacienda was one of the highlights of our trip to Calistoga and Napa Valley. The Hacienda was one of the most unique homes we've had the pleasure to stay in. There was plenty of room for us to relax and enjoy family time. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for all of us to work on meals together. And the view!! what an amazing view with wonderful sunsets and endless stars at night. This is a remote location, but not that far from downtown Calistoga. Leigh met us when we arrived and graciously took us on a tour of the Hacienda. Leigh made us feel at home. The Hacienda is filled with unique artworks, that add to the character and charm of the home. Leigh is a very generous host. I've already recommended The Hacienda to one of my friends. We can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed our visit to Napa as we always do. We come to taste and experience wineries and food with some other activities sprinkled in. Leigh was a great host and very responsive. The house had several amenities we needed for our trip and spectacular views. Thanks to Leigh for hosting and enjoyed our time there

I would recommend choosing any other vacation rental in the Calistoga area just so you don’t have to interact with this host. She met us for check in and insisted on a >30min long tour of her house that included mostly unnecessary information (like how to turn on light switches or use a standard ice machine and cd/dvd player). During this tour she also told us we were responsible for cleaning out the mouse trap ourselves if it caught any mice. There were definitely mice as our food had chew holes in the bottom.
Her house is full of knickknacks, statues, and paintings that are clearly precious to her to the point that there is little space for you to put your own things down. The second bath is an afterthought and crowded (you have to reach over the toilet to use the sink), the two main bedrooms were possibly previously porches, and the third bed is in the living room.
Although the exterior space was exceptional with beautiful views and a small but well-maintained hot tub, she was constantly texting me to give me instructions (like to water her plants or bring the deck furniture in). To her credit and to be fair in terms of responsiveness, the water heater needed a part replaced and this was rapidly accomplished on our first night there despite it being evening time.
The cherry on top of all this, however, was after we left, she accused us of stealing one of her figurines. We assured her that it must be in the house somewhere and that we had no interest in stealing her dolls, but she would not hear it. A deeper dive into reviews found a similar review of her accusing another group of stealing pillows she then found two weeks later. I’m sure this lost doll is hidden somewhere in the overly crowded decor of her hacienda.
Don’t be swayed by the views and the hot tub, it’s just not worth it.

Lovely stay
Leigh’s Hacienda was well-stocked, beautifully appointed, and comfortable. It is a quiet and peaceful retreat. We constantly looked out at the view in awe of the beauty of the surroundings. It is conveniently located, just a short drive to Calistoga and surrounding wineries, but you also feel tucked away in nature. Don’t skip using the canyon road to get into or out of town a few times - it offers absolutely beautiful views!

This Hacienda was definitely off the beaten path, but just what we wanted. Calistoga was a short drive down the mountain, but we had total privacy…beautiful view of the stars at night, and we spent many hours sitting on the deck, watching an array of birds come splash in the fountain. The house was eclectic and artsy, and we felt right at home right away. Amazing jade plants! Leigh was a wonderful host and we had everything we needed and felt very welcome. We loved it!

What a wonderful stay and host! I will most definitely stay here again and recommend. We got so lucky with my friends to find this magical place, perfect place to celebrate our girlfriend’s 40th bday. The extra free night sure was a Plus ;-)
Make sure at night you go outside and check out the stars while you are in the hot tub…. Stunning!!!
Thank you Leigh for sharing your lovely home with us…. Absolutely loved your home and the views were awesome!

Home and property were great. Amazing views, great place to end the day on. We were nervous about the what we read about the lengthy check in process, but we asked Leigh to keep it to 15 min and she did. It was thorough but quick. Kitchen had pretty much all of the spices and tools we needed for meals that we cooked. It is a bit outside of Calistoga, so make sure you grab ice before leaving calistoga

This was a great and charming place perfectly centralized for touring the wine region. Leigh was a fantastic hostess and made us feel at home.

This was a beautiful setting just north of Calistoga. We saw turkey and deer and enjoyed evening sunsets and a full moon while sitting in the hot tub! Leigh was an excellent host and the house was furnished with everything needed.
4.7
Pros:
• Amazing deck and hot tub with views
• Close to Calistoga and many wineries there
• Plenty of supplies- kitchen, bathroom, etc.
• Slept comfortably on beds
Cons:
• So remote we had a hard time getting Ubers (Leigh does have a private driver she suggests and I would suggest doing this too. We planned our winery visits close to each other so did save a lot doing ubers). We also woke up to a loud wild turkey at 6:00am daily.
• Make sure all parties present for walk through and allow 20+ minutes for this (we were running late to a wine tasting appointment is why I point this out so others buffer extra time)
• Leigh mentioned they had rats/mice in the area and there were 2 electronic traps. In 24 hours, 2 rats were caught and we all had spider bites. I know this is due to the location but just calling it out for others

Beautiful spot
It’s a great location with a nice view. Owner very nice.
The main bedroom has a king bed plus a day bed and the main bathroom is fairly straightforward. The second bedroom is a full size bed that wasn’t beloved by our friends who slept there, and the third bed is a queen in the living room. The second bathroom is pretty small and has a pump toilet with a tiny sink and stall shower. The kitchen is pretty well equipped including a bunch of spices and condiments etc in the fridge. The hot tub is hot but doesn’t generate a lot of water movement/bubbles for some reason. The place was decorated very personally but for our taste there was probably too many kitsch/trinkets/dustcatchers. There is directv and a DVD player with some movies but internet probably would struggle a bit with streaming or zoom. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Unique property located on the side of the mountain. Wonderful views and great wrap around deck. Fully furnished kitchen. We stayed for a week and cooked most of our meals with ease. Beds are very comfortable. One bathroom is spacious, the other a bit quirky and takes getting used to. The art work all over is worth a visit alone. Very relaxing to come home to after days of wine tasting. Leigh is a great host. Recommend Calistoga. Great smaller town with a wonderful Saturday market and fun places to shop. Very different vibe than Napa. The Calestoga Calmart is very good.
