My wife and my Yorkie, and I loved our stay. This is a beautiful home with the best views of Swan Pond. The entire back of the home has floor to ceiling windows so you can see the pond from the living area and the bedroom. We are looking forward to next year’s stay!
Thank you,

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. The cottage was beautiful, super clean, very tastefully decorated and a beautiful location.
The host was always available and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place and would happily return.

This house is just wonderful. It is updated, clean, and offers everything. The views are spectacular with lots of outdoor seating. If you want to be indoors, you have the views from almost every room in the house. We kayaked all the way to the ocean! Easy ride to many beaches and restaurants. Would highly recommend.

Great house, nicely updated and a very convenient location. We had a great time and are looking to come back next year.

I have never been to a rental property where the atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing. The view out of the bedroom and the living room was awesome. It is on Swan Pond and it’s true to its name because we saw 2 swans with their three babies. It was like a fairytale.

The view of Swan Pond is gorgeous. We survived Hurricane Lee with small impact. Sunny 9 days out of the 10 Swimming at West Dennis beach kayaking in Swan Pond, canoeing, fishing, dining at Clancy’s, lighting the fire pit at night for s,mores and toasting marshmallows. Grill could be improved on one side and a lighting issue. Cottage clean and beautiful. Description should be updated.

We loved our stay at the lake house. The views were wonderful, the location was private and relaxing and the various water birds were lovely to watch during the week. I would love to come back again. The property was very inviting and we enjoyed our time tremendously!

This was by far the most beautiful home we’ve stayed in. There were upgrades that were just so well thought out! The beds were super comfortable and we had our doodles with us. They just sat at the windows crying to go in the water. The kayaks were great, my husband and I never kayaked before and we loved it. My mother-in-law sat outside every morning with her coffee. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous slice of heaven with us!

the property is sublime. floor to ceiling widows in the living room and two huge windows in the main bedroom give the feel in of floating on the river as the world flows past. along with ducks, swans and egrets. mornings and evenings on the back deck like a dream, just watching the water and sunsets.

We had a great time and really enjoyed the outdoor space this property offered. I got good use out of my inflatable paddle board and kayak. The pictures, especially outside, don't show just how great the lake/pond front access is.

Great property that was better in person than the pictures, which is rare. Family of 5 went for a week and had an amazing time, kids loved playing in the water and fishing right off the back yard.

This property has the most gorgeous view of Swan Pond! We loved taking the kayak out to see the wildlife. The owner provides plenty of bath towels and beach towels. There were even fishing
Poles and raincoats. Sounds like they have some great updates planned for this fall.

Hidden Gem
An unassuming property in an unassuming neighborhood wound up opening up to a spectacular view of Swan Pond which featured excellent sunrises and sunsets and a beautiful cottage.
The home is stocked with amenities such as a kayak, plentiful kitchen supplies, fishing poles, fire pit, binoculars, smart tv, games, etc.
The hosts were easy to communicate with and responsive. Checking in and out was a breeze.
My family and I will return again.

Dennis port house
Pros: beautiful area. The yard was perfect with a fire pit and right on the water.
Cons: the house was only sort of surface cleaned. The bathroom had not been cleaned at all. Our first night indoor showers were either hot or cold the handle on the faucet is broken. After that ALL showers were in the outdoor shower. There are major plumbing issues in this house. While doing laundry or running dishwasher water and sludge backed up into bathtub and ring around toilet leaked. You are unable to flush the toilet while either appliance is running. Although there a beautiful windows with amazing views there are no screens in the windows so if you want the nice breeze you also get the bugs. The windows with screens were very old and had to be propped open. These window sills were covered in dirt and dead bugs. The house has and any issue so be sure to close your food up tight! The door to the deck has no outside handle so while in yard door drifts open and closed letting even more bugs in.
Tye manager was contacted about the plumbing issues. He apologized and was unable to help as he was in Boston and it was a holiday weekend. He asked me to let him know about any other issues claiming once “the water table went down all would be fine.” He never followed up. At the end of our stay I once again contacted him to tell him of the plumbing issues. He said he was “sorry for the inconvenience.” I suggested a discount was in order and never heard back.

Wonderful Stay
The property was actually more impressive than the listing which doesn't happen often. The location was excellent being directly on a beautiful lake and being centrally located on the cape. We spent many mornings and evenings watching the sun rise/set over the water. It has also had some recent updates which make it feel very well cared for. Overall we would rate this as a 10/10 stay.

Strange smell in house
Lovely location on the pond. House was a little tired. Some renovations underway outside but the interior is in need of a good refresh. House had damp issues - scented candles and air fresheners everywhere - but only so much they could do.

A lovely gem of a place
Our family of 6 stayed for a week as a last minute change of plans. I note that most of the reviews of this property are at least 4 years old, so I thought it would be helpful to give an updated review. The location of this house is terrific - it is on a quiet street, walkable street and grocery stores, gas station and everything you could need are about a 5 minute drive away. The beach is about a 10 minute drive away.
The most spectacular feature of this house is the back yard on the lake. It is BEAUTIFUL! We kayaked right from the yard and a pair of swans and their baby swam right up.
The house itself is very clean and well-maintained, however, it is a bit small. Although it technically sleeps 6, it would say it would be a more comfortable stay for 4 or 5. The one indoor bathroom is very tiny. The outdoor shower helps, but it was still a bit challenging. The master bedroom is absolutely lovely - a converted sunporch it is large and airy looking out to the lake. The other two bedrooms were smaller - one with twin beds was perfectly sized, while the room with the pullout would have been comfortable for 1, but was very squishy for 2.
That said, the house is set up very well, is very comfortable and the owners try to provide every convenience. There was laundry and detergent and a closet full of things you might have forgotten - bandaids, sun hats, bug spray, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, cups, along with cooking oil and spices. It is true that there is no oven, but I'm not sure who is baking while vacationing on the Cape... the stovetop, microwave and toaster met all our needs. There is a kayak, a fire pit, and a grill with gas. The owner had clean bath towels, beach towels, badminton rackets and games.
The house was very clean and overall very comfortable and attractive - and the view of the lake was magical. We really appreciated all the thoughtfulness that the owner clearly put in to make sure we felt at home with everything we might need. Even being a little snug for six, we would absolutely stay there again.

July at Swan Pond, Cape Cod
Lovely lakeside location, great for kayaking, BBQ, fire pit and chilling.

Beautiful pond and very little kitchen
Good location and lovely pond but cottage lacked care and attention. If you like to cook at all this is not the place for you. There is no oven, no toaster oven, no dishwasher, rusty grill and little space to work. Best thing by far is the outdoor shower! Also, a great TV!

This was a beautiful spot with Swan Lake outside your door. The views were spectacular and so was the canoeing and kayaking (provided) unfortunately since it was brackish lake it really wasn't swimmable. The outdoor shower was incredible. We loved this space! It made it so easy after a day at the beach. The inside was decorated well and was cozy. The beds were really comfortable. The only draw back was the kitchen wasn't well appointed with some items like, serving bowls and an oven. Also the screen door to the patio porch was broken and letting the bugs in. The overhead kitchen light wasn't working so it was tough on the clean up. Overall this was a good place. We enjoyed the yard (although a lawn mower could have helped) by having camp fires at night. I would definitely come back....thank you Paul.

gorgeous;y decorated house with every amenity. Loved being feet from the water and catching every time of day reflecting there. So wonderful having the windows open + the deck screen door all the time and swimming, kayaking, and canoeing in the pond. Such privacy and serenity! Best part was enjoying the company of our two daughters and our granddaughter - such laughter and smiles!kitchen light needs fixing (worked by candlelight). The mucky bottom of the pond was a pain but water nice.

Best Vacation Ever!
Dennisport 2017 was the best vacation yet! The cottage was perfect-light, airy, roomy, and well equipped. We enjoyed lobster and corn on the cob around the table with family and friends, sunsets around the fire pit with sangria, lazy mornings on the porch with a pot of coffee, sunny showers in the out-door shower, and the shortest trip to the best beach, Sea Street Beach, right up the road. We couldn't ask for anything more except to return again next year for more fun with family and friends in the most perfect cottage on the cape!

Adorable lakehouse on the water
Our stay at this adorable lakehouse was comfortable and peaceful. The owner provided everything and checked in with us to be sure we had what we needed. The firepit was nice for evening fires with smores. The house is a good size and furnished nicely. The lake is beautiful and we loved the kayak and canoe. Curtains on the master bedroom door would provide more privacy but other than that it was wonderful.

What a great location!
Just returned home and had a lovely time. The locale was perfect....half way between Boston and Provincetown and fitted with just about evwrything one would need. A little cramped for six people but the wonderful outdoor shower made up for the single bathroom.

A lovely stay at Dennis Port
We spent a three days holiday at this cottage, with my son and his wife. The cottage is really nice, clean, comfortable and well designed. It is just at the sea boarder, with a wonderful and peacefull view. The garden ends at the lake, and you can canoeing and swiming. There is also a good barbecue, which we make use for a wonderful dinner. The neighborhood is quiet and you have a wonderful wake up in the morning with a great view. The owners have been very friendly and cooperative in everything we need. In summary, we recharged neurons.

So relaxing and serene...
After an incredibly busy and hectic month, this cottage and its yard and view were just what we needed to "recharge". The cottage is very, very clean and comfortable. We were amazed at how roomy it is; it's much bigger inside than you would think from the outward appearance. It would comfortably fit 5 people; although if there were more than just the 2 of us, the French doors between the master and living room would not have allowed for much privacy. I agree with another reviewer that curtains on those would be a good idea.
Also, the master is large and very light and airy, but it does get very bright in there upon sunrise...fine for hubby who's always awake early anyway, but I would have appreciated some way to darken the room.
The outside shower is amazing!! If it's a nice day, do not even bother showering inside...showering under the canopy of a tree with the sun overhead is the most awesome experience ever! And I have never been in one with a separate changing area!
The peace and quiet and serenity of the pond were incredible. It was fun to watch the many kayakers and paddle boaters come by in the afternoons. And because there are no motorized vehicles on the river or pond, they did not disturb the peace and quiet one bit, but rather added to the whole experience. We spent most of our at-home time in the yard or on the deck.
We have one recommendation for potential renters: do not feed the geese!! Apparently, someone before us had fed them, for as soon as they saw us the first day, about a dozen came into the yard and deposited lots of little "presents" for us. But because we ignored them, they did not return, fortunately. Perhaps it was just their way of welcoming us to the 'hood, but we could have done without their visit. LOL
All in all, a very relaxing, enjoyable little escape to Cape Cod! Thank you, Paul...your little cottage is fabulous!

BEAUTIFUL!
This cottage was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our family of 3! Quiet little neighborhood, great privacy and WOW what a gorgeous view to wake up to in the morning! It was immaculately clean, and so spacious- we wish we had invited another family to stay with us there was so much room! Next year. The place was decorated beautifully, from the gorgeous artwork to the light fixtures down to the NICEST outdoor shower we have ever been in! My only hang up was that the windows didn't open to let in a breeze- but that's just personal preference- my husband was happy to find a cottage down the cape that has AC! Great location, close to everything, we would absolutely rebook again. Thanks Paul for a great vacation!

Just Like Described
This place was just how the pictures describe it to be . Very nice with great sunsets. Paddled all the way down to the mouth of Swan River where we were able to pull in our kayaks to the beach and enjoy. We had two of our own kayaks and Paul said to help ourselves to the kayak that was there ,which saved us the price of the rental. Also very close to the entrance of the Cape Cod rail trail bike trail. Kayakers and bikers will love this location. Upon our arrival there was a box of delicious mini cupcakes from a bakery waiting for us with a message that said welcome to Cape Cod. Cooked steaks on the outside grill and breakfast sandwiches on the stovetop which also saved us a lot of money. The artwork and IKEA furnishings were great . Although we loved this place and would highly recommend it just the way it is, I have just a few suggestions: 1) A curtain on the French doors of the master bedroom . 2)A less see-through shade on the bathroom window . 3) Put screens in all the windows in the master bedroom for that awesome breeze. 4)Some type of simple ramp to make it easier to get boats into the pond. Thank you Paul for a great stay.
