About this house rental

This beautiful contemporary open concept home is 3000 square feet. We have been serving guests in our home for the past 6 years and are excited to make our home your home when you visit the New River Valley :)

Just miles from everything including Virginia Tech, downtown Blacksburg, Christiansburg Aquatic Center, Christiansburg Huckleberry park. and all your shopping and tailgating needs. Only a walk to the huckleberry trail, the Farmhouse restaurant, and the Christiansburg Recreation Center. This is a perfect home and location for your tailgating needs, graduation celebration, or wedding party!

You will love the beautiful front porch and sunroom as well as the open-living design this home has to offer. With a gorgeous kitchen overlooking the living and dining area, everyone can enjoy the company of one another in one space. Brand new back porch with a grill and fire pit.

On the main floor there is a large master bedroom (king-size bed) and stunning modern soaking tub and beautifully tiled shower. There is a second bedroom on the first floor as well with a queen size bed and full bathroom.

Upstairs includes three additional bedrooms. One large bedroom has a queen-size bed with futon. The second bedroom has three full size beds . The third bedroom has a full-size bed. There is a ton of comfortable sleeping space for everyone! Our home will sleep 10 comfortably.

The home is equipped with a Tesla destination charger in garage . This must be mentioned prior to rental to allow for rental party to have access to . The cost is $40 for weekend.

******Please note we are in a family friendly neighborhood. No house parties. We ask that any travelers considering our home please know that you will need to be respectful of our neighbors and the neighborhood. No more than 4 cars are allowed (as a consideration to our neighborhood). All cars except 1 must be in the driveway. All other cars can be left at the Christiansburg Recreation Center over night just up the street.

We had a great stay at Allison's. The house worked well for our group of 6 adults and 5 young kids. We enjoyed the patio and the short drive to VA Tech and other nearby spots. Allison's house was well equipped with everything we needed for an enjoyable weekend with friends.

This property was a beautiful place for our family to be together while attending a wedding at Virginia Tech. Property is well appointed with lots of space and bed room options. The back patio was used frequently. Close to grocery and restaurants. Communication with host was very responsive. Highly recommended.

We renewed this house for the graduation weekend. It was perfect. There was a beautiful outdoor patio where we gathered, ate Pizza, and had a relaxing evening. The rest of the weekend was very busy, so having this location just 15 minutes from VT was very nice. We appreciate the host opening their home to allow out of town parents and family to gather and enjoy the weekend.

We brought in a group of 8 for our daughter’s 21st birthday at Virginia Tech, including a Thursday night football game and multiple dinners. This home lives much larger than the description, and the attention paid to the outdoor living space and fireplaced sunroom made for wonderful morning and evening time together. Allison was a prompt responder to questions, and I cannot imagine a smoother experience.

We had a great weekend. The house was clean and ready for us. We really enjoyed the sunroom, hot tub and grill. The owner even decorated for my daughters graduation from Virginia Tech, it was a wonderful surprise. I would highly recommend this property.

Description matches. This is owners home they vacate for you to use . Worked great for my family to celebrate Thanksgiving. We ate at friends. They joined us Friday for a cookout . I didn’t notice the extra fee for hot tub so it wasn’t available to us. The neighborhood makes you feel like your right out of the 1950s. So friendly kids playing everywhere. The house was comfortable and so good for places to play games or just hang and watch a movie. We hope to go back for VCOMs graduation.

Good experience on a good property. accommodates a large family well. Grateful that owner rents a property out that they clearly live in full time, however made it a little awkward to navigate boundaries between rental function and personal space, ie dirty laundry in same closet with extra bedding and no place to hang renters clothes. Otherwise a nice experience and EVERYTHING A multi generation family needs to settle in and have a lovely weekend.

The house was perfect for a family of 6 traveling from NJ for graduation. The house is beautiful and had many beds for our family. My elderly parents were with me and used the first floor master suite. Having a kitchen was so convenient. Only a 10-15 minute drive to Virginia Tech campus. Highly recommend!

Our family enjoyed our stay to celebrate graduation at VT. The common areas beautiful and super functional. The primary bedroom very nice. The other bedrooms more suited for children than adults as small beds with super thin mattresses. Very strong scent of perfumes throughout second floor problematic for anyone with allergies. Nowhere to hang up or put clothes in most bedrooms. All in all worked out well. Allison super accommodating and responsive.

The house is located in a safe neighborhood within about 15 minutes of the Va Tech campus. The home had a nice layout for the family to spread out. The hot tub in the backyard was and added treat. Since the house is lived in by the owner there was no place to unpack our clothes into open drawers or hang in the closet.

We had such a wonderful time. Allison's home is clean, well-kept, and comfy with great amenities! It was very accommodating for three families getting together to enjoy a VT football game. The location is very convenient to stores and the VT campus. Allison was a great host and checked-in frequently to make sure we didn't need anything. The welcome gifts she left for us was a nice touch. Hope to be able to stay there again in the future!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Allison is an excellent host, and did everything to make the weekend enjoyable! She was so thoughtful to leave us a welcome note and goodie basket for our graduation celebration. Her house is beautiful and the set up was perfect for us as we had my parents with us, there was a second bedroom and full bath on the main floor so they did not have to climb stairs. When we needed to contact Allison, she responded immediately, which was great!! I highly recommend this house as a great place to stay when in the area, and I would definitely stay here again in the future!

We stayed here for a quick trip to tour Virginia Tech with our teenagers. My number-one requirement is, Is it clean? And the answer is--absolutely, spotlessly clean. It was also spacious and fully outfitted with everything any traveler could need to be comfortable. The owner left us tips for getting around Blacksburg and complimentary Va-Tech face coverings--very thoughtful. I'd say the entire experience was very thoughtfully planned and presented. Five stars!

Excellent experience at this property. Everything was clean and well maintained. We cooked every night, and the kitchen had all the pots and pans we needed. There’s a really nice grill that cooked well and evenly. The main room has a big TV (we watched a lot of Wicked Tuna) and a wide comfortable couch. There’s plenty of room in the house, lots of bedrooms. We sat out on the front porch a couple of times. There’s a hanging swing at one end, and the chairs are comfortable. Porch is nice and wide. Neighborhood is homey and quiet. Location is very convenient to VA Tech, just three exits or so down a highway (460). There are two grocery stores right around the corner: Kroger and Food Lion. Neither was overly crowded. The Farmhouse Steakhouse is very close. Main suite bathroom has a really nice shower with floor to ceiling tiles and a soft rain shower head. Also, double sinks in the main bath. Allison was an excellent host. She texted us a few times to check in and make sure we were OK and didn't need anything. Overall, a really nice home, really nice stay... Good for small or large groups. I’d highly recommend and would return.
