The Haven is a lovely home with all the amenities needed to enjoy your stay with friends or family. We celebrated our anniversaries with friends and it was delightful! Two upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. It was perfect for two couples. Very quiet and peaceful!

Fantastic home in a lovely neighborhood. The house was very clean, nicely updated but still retains the character and charm of an older home. The yard is fantastic and somewhat secluded. Nice hot tub. We loved that the home was walkable to Whitman and downtown.

We had a great time and the house is wonderful, yard is gorgeous. The kitchen is fully stocked and very functuonal.
We enjoyed our stay, the location was fantastic for whitman graduation.
We had two problems related to our stay.
We booked 10 months in advance and received our confirmation and made our initial payment. Within 24 hours we received an email saying the owner didn't realize that was a high demand weekend and would have to cancel our reservation if we didn't pay another $492. We were a surprised but agreed and paid in full.
Then days before our arrival we received an email from vrbo that said we were “all set” and it listed our dates etc. the email also said we that if we had not received our access information to contact the owner. Early in the am on check in day, we sent an email to the owner asking for access info. We did not hear back.
As we were loading the car to drive over, I finally called the owner’s phone. The owner said she didn't know what to do but she had double booked the house and the other party was already in the house.
We headed over anyway, our daughter was graduating from college. We were on the phone with vrbo for hours and called multiple hotels on the way. 4 hours later we received an email that the house would he ours with access information.
The house worked perfectly and was very nice.
However the stress on check in day and the extra charge for high demand weekend after receiving confirmation was awkward at best.

We stayed at this property. We had friends visit us when we arrived and host tried to charge us for those individuals as guests because her housekeeper saw the individuals. She does not leave the heat on, so house is freezing on arrival until you can get the old and drafty house to finally hear. The hot tub is similarly left cold so you have to wait 24 hours to be able to use. House is not walking distance to downtown. Be prepared to walk 20 minutes+ to nearest restaurant. Would not recommend. Host is not transparent and invoiced us after our stay for "incidentals" in spite of us following her lengthy and robust checklist

Fantastic long weekend in Walla Walla, made comfortable and peaceful by our fantastic lodding at the Haven. Sue was very generous with information and timely with communication around our visit. The home is particularly well appointed for a vacation rental, it feels like you are staying at a family home. We only hope to return again and have the opportunity to stay at the Haven once again.

Owner was very responsive to requests. Home has plenty of room to socialize or hang out on your own. Quiet neighborhood in a 15min walk to downtown. Fenced backyard perfect for dogs, also has a small hot tub. House has craftsman charm with a fully modern kitchen. Beds were incredibly comfortable, which is not something you find often. Everything you need for a getaway

The Haven is a gem of a rental! We loved the big kitchen, dining room, living room and TV 'den'. It was the perfect layout for our holiday family gathering. We played a ton of games, watched movies, and made delicious food.
Fab Whitman location...just a block and half away from campus and easy walk to downtown if you want. Surrounded by beautiful homes, so fun walking area. We brought the dog, so it was a lovely place to exercise him. (must crate if you leave your dogs alone, but we never did).
We loved the hot tub on these cold winter days/nights!
The house can be cold in the winter, but there are two supplemental heaters that we were able to shift around when needing a bit of extra heat around Grandma.
The kitchen is stocked, but if you need certain types of pans/tools for cooking a special recipe, you may want to bring it with you. (for example, there was no casserole dish, but I was able to purchase one for use while there...if you need a roasting pan or something like that...bring it).
The home is well stocked with games/puzzles which we enjoyed. The home was lightly decorated for the holidays which made it extra special!
My young adult kids and I thought the beds were comfortable.
Overall GREAT stay!
Sue's communication was top notch and helpful. The instructions were clear and easy to follow.

This property is fabulously dressed, inside and out. A Craftsman house that welcomes you the moment you open the door. We were always seeing something that started a conversation, from the Antiques to the modernized kitchen. And the beds are very, very comfy. You won't be disappointed in a stay here!

It's a lovely older house with an updated kitchen and bathrooms, but retains the charm of the nearly 100 year old home. They were very accomodating allowing us to bring lur dogs. One of the best features of the property is it's well maintained backyard with lots of shade for hot walla walla weather. We enjoyed the hot tub and the house is well located for explorinv the town.

The Haven was a very nice, historic home to stay in while visiting Walla Walla. It was very close to everything and in a beautiful neighborhood. The home was clean, and the photos were accurate of what it looked like in person. We had two frustrations though; we received a text on our way to the home that the gas BBQ was not working, and we would not be able to use it during our visit. Since it was a hot summer weekend, we would have really enjoyed having the opportunity to cook outside. The other frustration is that this home is labeled as dog friendly. But the backyard has a large plum tree, and there were several hundred plums all over the ground. Plums are poisonous to dogs, as their pits have cyanide in them. This will kill dogs. So, we had to watch our dogs like hawks when they were outside and felt like we could not really be in the backyard at all without risking them eating them. These plums also had fallen all over the picnic table, and this would have risked our clothing being stained unless we cleaned the back yard and table ourselves. Other than this, the home and area was beautiful, we enjoyed our stay.

Terrific W2 rental
This was our second stay at the Haven and it was just as lovely as the first. The weather in Walla Walla didn't cooperate -- it rained daily during our stay -- so having a cozy, comfortable, spacious house was essential to enjoying the trip. Everything worked as advertised and we enjoyed the hot tub as always.

Wine weekend
We rented this place for a trip to the estate wineries. The house and backyard are cute and clean. We had a toddler with us that loved climbing the stairs and playing the piano. If traveling with one that needs a “blackout” room for sleeping, I’d suggesting bringing a temporary/removable solution for the bedrooms, as the window treatments are sheer. We would stay here again.
