Amazing location for outdoor activities with perfect amenities, responsive host, and cozy cabin. Highly recommended for families and winter stays.

This was our second year stay for a month each time at the Moonridge Cabin. We love its location away from the crowds and easy to get to. It is a very well equipped cabin with a well stocked kitchen. The management team is very responsive and goes out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable. The owner is extremely accommodating and responds quickly to all questions. Be aware that the cabin is built on a hillside and there are 15 steps up to the front door. There are no steps once you are inside the cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cabin to anyone who can handle the stairs.

You can’t beat this location. It is within walking distance of fun sledding and bear mountain if you want to go skiing/snowboarding. It is a short 5-10 minute drive to restaurants and retail shopping. The amenities were perfect and property manager and host were very responsive with any questions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Big Bear.

This is our favorite cabin to escape to. This is the 5th time I believe that we've stayed there now. We had some family stay with us this time and they had nothing but great things to say about it. The location is so amazing and the cabin itself is roomy yet still has a closeness to it. The layout is perfect. The host is wonderful to work with. We love it and think you will too.

We have stayed at this cabin for at least four years during the winter. Very quiet in a beautiful setting. My grandchildren and their parents always enjoy it too.

Title says it all! Perfect long weekend in the perfect spot. Kids enjoyed sledding nearby and the cabin was cozy and clean per the pics on the online listing.

We had a wonderful stay at this Moonridge cabin. Loved the single floor layout for young kids and the raised fireplace which was out of reach of my 1 year old niece! The trailhead right in the neighborhood offers great hiking. Wish there was snow but we had an amazing time nonetheless. Only complaint is the master bedroom mattress was pretty uncomfortable. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We spent a wonderful week with our family of 5 at this cabin in Moonridge over Thanksgiving. The location is perfect. It's on a quiet residential street just a two minute walk from some really nice hiking trails. It was clean, spacious, very well-stocked with supplies (paper products, cleaning products, dish soap, toiletries, you name it). The kitchen was a great size for cooking our Thanksgiving meal. In the evenings, we took advantage of the huge comfortable couch, fireplace, game closet and smart TV. We will definitely look for the opportunity to return to this property!

This was our FOURTH time staying at this amazing home and we are planning on going back a 5th time next year again...if not sooner! We love this home. Our daughter literally talks about returning, about 360 days of the year. The day we left, she was already asking to go back. It is spacious so everyone can have some space if needed, but also has such a warm, cozy, closeness vibe that it is the perfect place for a family to stay. We are a hiking family and love that a gorgeous trail is just a short jaunt up the street. It's a quick drive to grocery stores and restaurants, but away from the bustle of the town. We love the layout of the home and kitchen that opens to the living space. The full laundry room is such a plus! One of my favorite things about the home is the front patio area. I love to just sit and listen to the quiet with maybe an occasional bird chirping. The peacefulness I feel when I sit out there is like no other. Just sitting and being surrounded by the gorgeous pines is so relaxing. It's really the perfect place. The owner is amazing to communicate with which makes staying there even more amazing. We can't say enough great things about this home and everything about it. It's a dream.

Stairs at entrance were a bit much. At seven thousand feet you feel it after 3 or 4 consecutive trips. We supplied cushions for wooden dining room chairs and placemats for wood table. Refrigerator was small and located adjacent to the kitchen. Having owned property in Moonridge it was the small things that made a four star rating applicable.

This mountain retreat is set up very well with three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. It has a large great room which contains the dining room, well equipped kitchen, and a large sitting/living room. Everything is on one floor but access to the house requires going up 10+ stairs. The owner and management team are excellent and quickly responded to any issues. We had a great time and enjoyed the house such that we have rented it again for a month next summer.

Great property with fairly easy access to Bear Mountain. Property sits above the resort on some narrow winding neighborhoods. Great wintertime location in a great home. Easy walk to the resort with adults, maybe drop your kids off at the mountain. Property management was great to work with. We will plan on returning.

The property was well equipped with everything you would need for a vacation. The side yard was perfect for kids to play in the snow. The driveway was big enough to fit two large SUV and one small SUV.

Weather was awesome! Plenty of snow all around the property! The cabin was very welcoming! Loved the boardgames that were already there to play. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Really had the cabin feeling! The Cherry on top was the great communication with property managers!!

Host very easy to deal with. Great location to ski resort.

This home was so beautiful and the location is near the forest so we were able to play in the snow in many locations. The home had an open floor plan so there was plenty of space for all of us to watch a movie together, eat together and it was safe for the 1 year old to walk around everywhere.

The hosts were amazing from beginning to the end. They responded right away whenever we needed them. The house was perfect for our party of 9 which included kids. Everything worked well -appliances, sinks, showers, heater- and it was well stocked. The house was pretty close to the stores and there was a wonderful place for snow play just minutes away. You could see the slopes at bear mountain from the front deck but I’m not sure if we would walk there with all our gear. We ended up going to snow summit which was a very short drive away. Overall a great place to stay.

This was our first time driving up to big bear with our family so of course there was trial and error kinks ( not knowing where to go and goingwrong way) **IF YOU'RE NEW TO BIG BEAR I'D HIGHLY SUGGEST NOT DRIVING UP AT NIGHT!
But, as we arrived it was a distant memory because the cabin was amazing! Made us feel so comfy and cozy. All the kitchen ammenties needed even shampoo & conditioner, toothpaste in bathrooms, sweet touch. Will definitely be back!

We were in for a few Thanksgiving getaway days, and this was the perfect home for it. Ample space for the five of us, great location to get some walking/hiking in, as well as skiing. We left on Friday, so we didn't have a chance to ski, but on our next ski trip to Big Bear, we'll definitely try to come back to this house since it's an easy walk down the hill to the slopes.

The perfect cabin in the mountains! The home is both spacious yet cozy at the same time! It has all of the amenities you would hope for! It's close to the hiking trails and a short drive to the stores and restaurants. The kitchen has everything you would need so we save money and prepare our meals in. It has a very spacious master retreat and a perfect bunk room. The host is the host of all hosts! He is AMAZING to work with! We have yet to have a single complaint with any of our stays. It's perfect for all ages. Our little girl squeals with excitement just at the thought of visiting! She'll watch videos back and beg to return! :) My husband and I love our time there too. My 80 year old mother loves it just as much!

This cabin was perfectly comfortable. Had every amenity including a few toiletry necessities in case you forgot something. Many throw blankets for the chilly fall nights and mornings. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses, pots, pans, even a blender and crockpot! The location and neighborhood were fantastic. And we really appreciated the recommendations included in the information booklet on the little desk. We hope to come back soon!

If I could rate this cabin 10 stars I would! The owners are very responsive and kept the communication with me since the very first day I booked the cabin. I booked other cabins before and the communication was horrible! Had to call once as they were unresponsive and made me feel I as though I was bothering them.
Cabin is very clean, spacious, well equipped, and beautifully decorated. The bear in the living is a cute touch. My nine year old son couldn’t get enough of it.
We had a wonderful time. The cabin is not far from the lake. We will definitely return next year.
Once again, we truly appreciate the above and beyond communication from the owners. That we cannot rate, there’s not enough stars.

Wonderful experience. Extremely large cabin as described. Super Clean, very spacious, comfortable. Beautiful location very relaxing. They provide family games and a giant friendly teddy bear for the children to cuddle. Amenities are perfect as some guest forget last minute things. Over all this cabin was amazing. The respond from host was immediate as we had a power outage. He kept us updated on situation. We were ALL very happy with our stay. We will most definitely stay here again.!!

Great Option in Big Bear
We are thrilled with our 3 nights.
-Great location - we don't care about staying near the village, it's quite touristy anyway. This neighborhood was beautiful, great views, and literally a 2 min walk from great hiking trails (this made it easy with little kids, so that we could split up the groups and not worry about driving)
-Nice house - tastefully decorated, cute vintage decor with mixed in modern touches, clean (normally not a fan of carpet, but I even walked around barefoot on it, it seemed very clean), comfortable, and well stocked (I very much appreciated stocked coffee, a stick of butter and some basic oils and seasonings, this is overlooked SO OFTEN!)
-Kid friendly, was an easy house to use with a 1 and 3 year old. Nice big walk in closet in the master room to set up a pack n' play (crack the door, we didn't see a vent in there!), the porch is also kid friendly because there is a swinging gate to keep the stairs blocked off (Genius!)
Great weekend, would def use again.

Excellent Stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Check in process was simple and communication was excellent. It’s about 12 min from the town area which worked well for us. We were outside of the hustle and bustle but close enough to get anything we needed. The property is beautiful and the neighborhood is peaceful and serene. If you’re looking for a place to stay and get away, check out this place.
