Loved the location. Onnthe edge of town, yet it felt like we were in a remote location. The cabin was nice, and very comfortable. We will definately rent again if we come back to the Hills.

Although we spent most of our time with family that live in Hill City, this cabin was the perfect place to retreat from the reunion! Comfortable bed, extremely clean and the location is absolutely perfect. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

We stayed for 3 nights. We enjoyed riding the 1880s train, visiting Mt Rushmore, and Custard, exploring Rushmore Cave, and walking around Hill City. We were very busy during the day, and it was nice to come home to our cozy and comfortable cabin. It was the perfect location.

It was a quaint little cottage with the perfect amount of space and amenities! The outdoor patio was perfect for unwinding! There were a few bugs outside, but the homeowner was so thoughtful she even provided bug spray!! Check in was flawless and simple and the host is absolutely top notch!!

We thoroughly enjoyed the 6 days we stayed in the Old Town Cabin. Marcia, our host, was delightful and very accommodating and helped make our trip fun. She was extremely easy to communicate with and the cabin had all the little instructions we needed already at hand. The beds were comfortable and I loved being able to put my new car in the garage as there were some thunderstorms in the area and I appreciated not having to worry about hail. We hope to be able to repeat our stay in the future. It was a great visit!

Went on early season visit to Mount Rushmore and Custer state park. Beautiful area and we had the privilege of being first to stay at the property being renovated. Cottage was very nice and will be back.

This cabin was clean with a great location because it is walking distance to Hill City and the Mickelson Trail. It does need some updating, but it met our needs and had a great 2 car garage and an outdoor area for making s'mores at night.

Marcia was the best! We came to Hill City on our HD planning to stop at Sturgis while on a cross country trip. We asked if we could possibly check in early so that we wouldn't have to bring all of our bags to Sturgis. Marcia made arrangements for us to leave our bags! The location is perfect - central to many great rides (Mt Rushmore, Iron Mountain, Custer & Needles to the south; Deadwood, Spearfish & Sturgis to the north) - and having the garage available was the icing on the cake. A hail storm blew in one afternoon and we were able to get the bike in before it hit!! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Marcia responded to our questions right away. We highly recommend and, if we are ever back that way, we would definitely stay there again.

Older cottage and furniture, but clean and has everything needed. Wonderful having the garage to park the car and motorcycle in. Saw deer from the kitchen table. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location, easy driveway for motorcycles, room to park trailer and two car garage to put truck and motorcycle into. This is a older home but worked well for the wife and myself.

This cottage was absolutely perfect for us. It was a perfect location for everything we wanted to see and everywhere we went.

Perfect location, close enough to walk to the grocery store and attractions on main street, yet secluded enough to feel like you're on your own. It was relaxing to come back to after a long day of hiking the Hills, much more so than a hotel room. The only thing that would make this hideaway better would be a little interior updating, but the nostalgic fixings weren't anything that would ruin a trip. Definitely worth the stay.

Absolutely Perfect for our needs!! Brought the Harleys out for a week of riding and the location was perfect! The garage and cabin both immaculate. In the middle of of everything we wanted to see. Cannot wait to go back.

The house exceeded our expectations. We came for the Sturgus Rally and to see the sites. Hill City is a great place to stay, and the house was perfect. The owner was great to deal with and she really cared about our stay and that we were happy with our accommodations. The garage was an unexpected luxury. I would book this again in a heart beat.

Loved the convenient location of the property, yet there was privacy from the traffic. I called Marcia with a minor problem, and she was very pleasant to talk to. I would not hesitate to rent from them again.

The Perfect Stay!
This is our third time visiting Hill City and is very familiar for our family. Old Town Cottage is in the perfect location. While being part of the town, it is still secluded enough for privacy. The cottage itself is very spacious, more than enough room for a family. We were busy the entire time we were there therefore we didn’t take advantage of the firepit in the back.
Marcia was an extremely accommodating hostess, very timely in responding and reaching out to us mid-week to see if everything was satisfactory and if we required anything. The cottage is very well equipped and I realized soon that I didn’t need to bring all the extras as I had.
I highly recommend Old Town Cottage and will definitely reach out to Marcia for further bookings!

Great Stay -Close to Everything
We loved staying at the cottage. It is centrally located to all the major attractions in the Black Hills. The bedrooms are large enough for two people and suitcases without feeling like you are walking over each other. The garage was a plus as we had four bikes to store. We had trouble getting the grill to work, but Marcia was there as soon as I messaged to fix it. Great stay!

Hill City cottage
Property needs some updating, needs a good “spring cleaning”-windows, back patio ( which we did) and some attention to the inside of the cupboards. But overall an excellent spot, close to everything!

Memorial Day weekend stay
This was truly a really cute house. It was very clean and in a great location. If you are bringing a trailer of any sort it can be a little difficult maneuvering into the driveway, but my husband is a pro, so it was no problem for us. The only issue we had was that the outlets in the bedroom, only one worked on each panel. Should probably look at getting them fixed. But, besides that we really enjoyed our stay in Hill City and will go back again and again.
