We stayed for Thanksgiving week, gathering with our family for the first time this year. Perfect house: quaint, clean, homey and well equipped. Delightful kitchen; better than most VRBO properties. Outstanding trails within a stone’s throw. Breweries and cideries served the purpose of great drinks and a great location for watching World Cup. The owner was communicative and proactive in every way possible. A great property and great location. Perfect for a family with dogs that love the outdoors and food. Highly recommended!

The discrepancy between the owner's representation of the property and the reality decided us on cancelling our entire two-week stay within an hour of accessing the property. It is located on a busy road, next to an industrial -sized dumpster, with an attached building of apartments, a small shabby lawn with a steep and inaccessible slope toward a shallow stream. The furnishings are old, worn, and dusty. For a family of elderly people with disabilities who were seeking the serenity and charm the advertising led us to believe would be available - the property was unacceptable.

The house is well equipped and has everything you will need to make your stay comfortable. We will definitely be back!

I had a great experience staying in this spacious, comfortable soulful house. Everything was sparkling clean and the kitchen well stocked with anything you might need including high quality Alclad cookware. Great big yard for barbecues. Perfect place for family to gather comfortably. Brian is a great host. I will be back

We stayed here while attending a wedding at Kaaterskill Inn. Super convenient, 6 minutes away from the venue. The house was lovely, clean, and had great spaces to hang out. The main room is very open with comfortable furniture and lots of places to lounge. The porch is just a dream as well. Sleeping was very comfortable with big beds and excellent bedding. All around amazing spot!

I cannot think of a better place to spend a few days during the pandemic. We felt safe and were impressed at the care taken in the area. The house was wonderful. It was a perfect vacation

We had a great time at Brian’s house. Everything was cleaner than anticipated and very comfortable. Thanks for having us!!

Claim that cooling swimmable stream was accessible right behind house was false and had been for years. Owner’s mother walked her dog in the only small outside space available for recreation.
AC was fine & necessary.

Our group stayed here over NYE weekend and it couldnt have been a better experience. It was exactly what we were looking for for our weekend at the mountain. Brians home is so charming and the perfect cozy getaway for a snowy winter weekend. Thank you Brian for everything!

Brian and his family were wonderful! The house was beautiful and everything was there that we needed. Located off a main road and good stores/shops were within walking distance. Conveniently located for great attractions and activities. Highly recommend!

The Arlington, with its Civil War-era quirks served as a great location for our family gathering. Brian and his family could not have been more helpful. Our only regret was not having more time to explore the area as we were focused on time together and having meals at the house. Being unplugged from TV was great and having an amazing vinyl collection as our audio soundtrack was an unexpected bonus.

We had a lovely stay at the Arlington with our group of 4 adults, 4 kids, and 2 dogs. The house was convenient to Hunter Mountain, Saugerties, and Kaaterskill Falls, surrounded by nature yet not too remote, located on a well-trafficked road near a small store, gas station, farmstand, and restaurants. Brian was a wonderful host, leaving us a bowl of locally-grown fresh fruit, taking us to meet the staff of the Fernwood Restaurant so that we could use the swimming hole there, and offering lots of great information of the area. It was clear that Brian has put a lot of time and care into restoring the house, and it was clean, comfortable, and filled with character, not to mention spacious enough for our large group. We greatly enjoyed our visit.

Thank you, Brian for a great vacation home. The facilities were clean, roomy and comfortable. The location was right near North Lake/South Lake, a great place for boating, trails, and picnicking. We also were privileged to a private swimming hole in the area. if we had any questions, Brian was there to help us out.

This house was more beautifui and more spectacular than words or picturs can ever describer. Yes, the house was more than clean and was mantained. The owner and his mother were extemely kind and made us feel at home. I have already started recommending this beautiful, historical home as a perfect location to my friends and family. Everyone was more than friendly, the retaraunts were phenominal and the zoo, waterhole, and horse back riding ect. was so fun. Good bbq-ing, and best of all what my family and i enjoyd the most was the quality time and family dinners!!!!!
