We had a fantastic stay at the Little House in Hubbards. The house is very nicely equipped. Situated about half way between Halifax and Lunenburg, it is perfectly located to explore the region.

We had an absolutely lovely stay in Hubbards. The house is clean, well appointed, and has everything you need for a stress free stay. So don't worry, you'll have everything you need. The house is very comfortable and conveniently located for visiting Halifax, Lunenburg, and even further (we also drove down to Yarmouth and Windsor). Closer to the house is the small but excellent Fox Point beach (about a 5-10 minute drive or a beautiful 1 hour walk--if you do walk it be sure to be visible as the roads are quite twisty). Also close by is the bigger Queensland Beach and the Aspotogan Trail. There's a grocery store and liquor store in walking distance to the house which are very convenient. So there's tonnes to do and you'll definitely appreciate coming back home to a lovely home at the end of the day.

We traveled from British Columbia to spend some much-needed quality time with our growing children and grandchildren. Over the four days everybody rotated in and out had a spectacular time with some incredible memories. The place was perfect!

Just a lovely house, with pleasant decor and a yard full of greenery. It was quiet, handy to the places we wanted to go, and as birders we enjoyed the song sparrows that serenaded us. A wonderful stay, and to top it off I forgot a small component for my battery charger and the caretaker sent us a picture of it, and then agreed to mail it to me free of charge. We are both named David, and he said the David's of the world have to stick together. What a guy! I can just about guarantee that you will be happy if you rent this house.

Everything about this stay was amazing. The communication with Shelley was great, check in/out was super easy, and the home itself is fabulous. The cottage was spotless, everything you could possibly need was provided, and the location is lovely. Absolutely no issues our entire stay and I look forward to returning!

Drove from Kansas to PEI and Nova Scotia and this was one of my favorite spots. Hubbards Little House is a lovely home—very clean and very nice! Appreciated the laundry, too. This is a sweet little community in a great location.

The house is exactly as described. Very cozy, comfortable, and well equipped. The owner has thought of everything and prepared the house for every possibility, even the lengthy power outage we experienced after hurricane Lee. The location gave us excellent access to exploring the south shore and Halifax. We’d definitely stay there again.

Our favourite part what is the sweet and breezy back deck. We had everything we needed! I will definitely book again. Thank you for a great stay!

All was great at the Little House in Hubbards! It was the perfect spot to stay for our son’s wedding at the Hubbard’s Barn.

Thoughtfully provisioned, comfortably furnished, and perfectly located for our our annual girls’ “Matt Mays at the Shore Club” weekend, the “little house” was everything we could have hoped for. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Location was great for the places we wanted to visit. Close proximity to all your basic needs. We did lose quite a bit of time with access to 2 bridges being blocked off. Interior of the house was clean, however, I would suggest window or portable air conditioners for the upstairs bedrooms. The windows would also need a good cleaning and plants around the house need to be trimmed and maintained.

The house was amazingly clean and had all the comforts of home. Was close to all amenities and Queensland Beach. Would definitely book again.

the house was spotless and well equipped for a comfortable stay. The kitchen had everything you would need. There are several beaches close by and within a short drive you can visit Peggy's Cove, Halifax and Lunenburg. The Trellis has great food, across the street.

We really enjoyed the area. We loved the home. Great location and had everything one would need. The owner was amazing. The person who manages the property was not responsive. We never saw him. We sent a message asking for some local information but never heard back. The grass wasn't cut and the garbage cans outside were full. The property had a lot of weeds. Not sure if he was around or not but we would definitely go back. Thanks!

We had a lovely stay but partly during a heat spell. The bedrooms are very warm even though the downstairs has an air conditioner. Updated screens in the windows upstairs would be welcome so one can open the windows without mosquitoes coming in. Overall very nicely appointed.

Shelley the owner was amazing to deal with!
Hurricane Fiona put a damper on our original booking. But, Shelley was able to switch us to another week.
She was very quick to respond to our every question.
The property itself is very well equipped and charming.
Lots of quaint and beautiful touches with East Coast Flare.
Beds were comfortable and cozy and sleeping was a dream.
David the caretaker was also amazing and quick to respond to a malfunctioning door lock.
He is very personable and a wealth of knowledge about local points of interest and dining options.
The Hubbards area is also, convenient and is within walking distance to restaurants, a grocery store and a pharmacy.
Definitely a well equipped and charming property!

Beautifuly decorated, comfy & cozy beds. One cottage I’ve rented so far had so much plates, dishes, glasses, wine glasses & even supplied plastic & glass containers for leftovers ect.. property manager David & his wife Tatiana were extremely friendly, helpful & was informative about things to do in the area.. no view to mention as it’s right but the hiway.. Restaurant’s, Gas station & convenient store less than 3 minutes away. All in all give 10 out of 10.
Only issue was to find the place. As the address given to me was 13 Route 3. Which Waze didn’t really pick up. But the host said it’s almost opposite Trallis caffe. Got there through that info, the address should say No 13, on huway 3, Hubbards.
Absolutely beautiful & well kept home.

Although we thought the house was clean on entry , after a thorough look around we found the following problems; garbages not dumped,
Kitchen fridge still had previous renters food in it,
Stove filthy, oven and exhaust fan disgusting,,
All windows in the entire house dirty,
Screen missing in second bedroom ,
Master bedroom side window jammed shut as are several other windows throughout the house,
Bathroom, mold in shower and outside shower base dirty with hair on it,
Damp sheets and towels in dryer upon using for the first time,
Stains on face cloths, towels and bedsheets.
No fire/smoke detector on main level, found broken in basement,
Deck rail not fastened at where the clothesline was advirtised to be,
Air conditioning on lower level only making the upstairs extremely uncomfortable during the first 11 nights due to high temperature levels.. Which only made getting a good nights rest impossible.
Overall summary, the VRBO is tired and needs a deep cleaning and definitely a good maintenance program completed to the home. As a handicapped veteran, in my personal opinion, I feel that this VRBO could possibly not be suitable for anyone with certain mobility issues and shoild be advertsed as such.

The cottage is what made our vacation.
It was our home base for everything that we did. A full kitchen with everything you would need and where we cooked our breakfasts every morning. We would sit on the deck at the back with our coffee enjoying the morning sun.
Lots of room in the dining room and living room. TV that we didn't use very often but was helpful for my 2-year-old granddaughter's cartoons once in a while.
Very comfortable bedrooms and beds with lots of closet space. And a bathroom with a full size tub and shower. The entire cottage is in excellent condition.
It was really hot while we were there, however the air conditioner located on the first level offered great relief from the heat and humidity
Adequate space to park our rental vehicle beside the house. Walking distance to a local cafe and restaurant, as well as the ocean and bays.
The cottage is located between Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg. So within half an hour you can reach either of these locations. The event we came for was a wedding in Brandford about 20 minutes south of our location. Had we stayed in Halifax for the 4 short days we were there, we would not have seen the beautiful rural countryside and the shorelines that in their natural state, where we could experience the tides. This area of Nova Scotia has a different, more relaxed vibe.
You also have to try out the seaside restaurant called Tuna Blue. Superb food and inspiring location that was really conducive as well to a 2-year-old.
The owner was very quick to respond to all my questions and we couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. It made our holiday perfect.

Welcoming South Shore Cottage
A lovely cottage in Hubbards, "a home away from home", to explore South Shore, Bay of Fundy and Halifax areas. All the amenities of home with touches of Maritime culture and friendliness including the caretaker! We will return.

House in Hubbards
The house and property was perfect. It’s not a fancy new beach house but it has everything you need and all the comforts of home. And it’s only minutes to the beaches and quick access to anywhere. We also enjoyed the assistance from Dave, the Property Manager, to let us know about the community market, local beaches and upcoming events! Our stay was fantabulous! Thank you Shelley for sharing your house with our little family!! Tom, Cindy & Ruby 🐾❤️🐾❤️
