Welcome to 204 W Acapulco. Boasting 4,300 living square feet, this 8 bedroom home can sleep up to 27 people, in beds, making it a premier vacation rental property for large family groups. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and new stainless steel appliances you will need to prepare delicious meals. The first floor living area is equipped with a pool table in addition to a newest model large screen TV. The backyard is easily accessible through the living/dining area. This beautifully landscaped backyard offers a private heated pool and hot tub where guests can relax and let their cares float away with the island breeze. This home has several balconies... 1400 square feet of balconies! The 2nd and 3rd floors have balconies on the front and back of the house. Guests can park their vehicles in the spacious two car garage and in the driveway.
This home is located within walking distance of the entertainment district, local shops, and restaurants so you are never to far away from a good time. With two separate living areas and a sun room on the 3rd floor there is plenty of space for the whole family to relax when they are not out by the pool. Six large flat screen televisions means no one will have to miss the big game or their favorite show. If you want to get out of the house the sandy beaches of South Padre Island are just minutes away.
Each reservation is provided with a starter kit of essentials ONLY (toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, soap, shampoo/conditioner, dish soap, laundry detergent). Depending on the number of guests in your party and/or the length of your stay, these may not last for the duration of your reservation and you may need to purchase additional items on your own. Very good location to activity and close to beach. House was very unclean and beds are very uncomfortable. In the room across from the bathroom the sheets didn’t even fit the bed. We found dirty underwear left in the house from the last renters. The washer and dryer do not work well: the dryer didn’t dry anything unless it was one or two items and if we used the dryer and left the bedroom open it sets off the smoke detector. The outside of the house is very very dirty. The amount of hair we found in the pool things that you should clean out was disgusting we almost could have made a sweater!
We made the best of the situation and enjoyed our trip but for what you charge for that house it should have been much cleaner!

I don't normally write reviews, but we had such a great stay that I felt compelled to do so. To start, the house is huge! There was plenty of space for our large family and the second family we were traveling with. We've rented a few vacation homes before and usually have to pack into small rooms, but not with this one. It was very comfortable for us and had everything that we needed. The housekeepers had just left when we arrived and I have to note that they did a very good job. We were so pleased with how clean the house was. House was well maintained and everything was in working order for us. We had one issue with a TV which ended up being user error. We called SPI Rentals and they had maintenance out very quickly and when I say quickly I mean within minutes of calling which was incredible! Their staff was very friendly and one of the best rental agencies we have ever used. To sum it all up, we loved the house and we will definitely rent this home again if we take another trip to South Padre Island.

We had 16 stay altogether (a mixture of adults and teenagers). The stay was perfect! Plenty of room, and it was in a wonderful location with everything in walking distance. Check in was easy, and everyone I talked to with the process was friendly and helpful. I will definitely choose this place again to stay at in the future!

We had a great stay. I only marked it down because there was construction on both sides of the house so it was pretty noisy and they started early in the morning.
The house was great for our large group. The house is definitely older and a little run down-but worked great for what we needed. So if you are wanting a brand new house, this one is not for you. Because the house is older, it didnt feel as clean to me. But again, worked great for what we needed!

My wife & I rented this home for our wedding party and it was even better than we expected! The four bathrooms and extra space made getting ready for the wedding so much easier. The bridal party had plenty of room for hair and makeup and we even used the large balcony and pool area for group photos before the ceremony. Booking this property made things a lot easier on us and took the stress away from the day so we could just enjoy it. Would definitely recommend this house for any large group that would like to avoid cramped up hotel rooms or small condos. Our family stayed there for a reunion of 22 people. Based on the pictures and the cost of the property, we expected to be walking into a much higher quality house. While it fit our needs in size and number of rooms, it was severely outdated. The furniture was pretty trashed, and the interior and exterior of the house needed updating. Many appliances were broken or unusable, including the grill, which we intended to use and couldn’t. The outdoor furniture smelled moldy, and should be replaced. There was also construction that caused a noise disturbance happening right next to the house the whole time we were there, and we weren’t notified that would be happening. There were not any cleaning items to use, and when we requested a broom, it was very obviously the cheapest broom they could buy from the local store. We were also notified well after our refund date that we would not be receiving any basic paper staples or anything to start with including trash bags and toilet paper, which also felt misleading based on the price. Overall, it worked for our needs, but for the price we expected a lot more than what we received

The property was nice, we had a great time and a great work out climbing the stairs. Wifi wasn’t too great but luckily we were there for the beach and pool. Highly recommend, big cozy house for a large group. The house had, napkins, toilet paper, detergent, dish soap and a sponge to clean dishes wish. There was also a dishwasher with soap.

First off, let me qualify my review by saying, I normally only give a review if the property is exceptional or if it was a disaster. This property was neither. But, due to the large amount I paid to stay here, it warrents my honest review.
Our week stay (Saturday-Friday) was over $10,000. This property housed all 22 of us with plenty of room. Our group consisted of 9 adults and 13 children, ages 16-6 years old. One teen slept on a futon in an out-of-the-way hallway on the 3rd floor. All others slept in bedrooms.
The property is interesting, it's a large old house that has probably been modified a few times. Quite frankly, it is in need of a makeover. This home has been used heavily and it shows. There are signs of use and abuse everywhere. Kitchen cabinet doors are broken, doors to bedrooms don't open as thy should, tile is broken and duck-taped in place, refrigerator door handles are misaligned, furniture is old and very tired looking. The place is functional, especially for a large group, but that is all. I definitely expected more for what I paid.
One great aspect was the air-conditioning. The property has two units, as it should. Once we figured that out and reset the thermostats to a comfortable temperature, we were able to handle staying in this broken down old home.
The supposedly well-stocked kitchen is a miss mash of whatever is working and leftover. Nothing matches, several different plates, bowls, pots with lids that don't fit, etc.
No, I would not return!

There was plenty of space plus extra for the 10 of us that stayed. It was like being on vacation with a group of people but also having enough space to have your own time your spouse! SPI was very prompt and responsive to any questions/concerns we had. We had a great time and would stay at this property again!

We had a great time at this rental. Great location and within walking distance to everything. The pool and hot tub were a big hit. The pool table was also great. Nice big kitchen which was well stocked.
The only problem was the water had to be turned off part of a day because of a city issue.
We celebrated two birthdays and our 50th wedding anniversary. Perfect place for our whole family.

Plenty of room for my team of five. This is a very nice property close to both beach and bay. Easy check in/out, just wish we could check in early. Otherwise, property is close to several stores and restaurants, all within walking distance. There is also a bus on the island but we didn't use it. Beds were comfy, a/c was perfect, and kitchen was adequate with plenty of utensils. We did not have any issues during our visit and SPI rentals was very commincative from booking, arrival, and check out. I'd definitely recommend this property for any group outing.

Booked for a family vacation (15 people) and everyone was able to have their own space. Third floor bunks room was a little hotter than the rest though. Other than that kitchen was big enough for half the family to be doing things and still move around. Will definitely book again if have that many people.

With ages from 81 down to 12 there were some members of the family that never got in due to the temperature being too cold. Also the water was very cloudy, giving thought to its sanitation. On the plus side I can say when we called about the pool someone came over quickly to show us how to alternate between the pool and hot tub, not an ideal situation. Also when we used the BBQ management was called and quickly came with a stick lighter to get the propane lit.
I'm really shocked that you could charge me a cleaning fee when we probably left the place cleaner than when we found it. For that amount of rent all of the interior cloth couches and chairs need a deep cleaning or replacement and all the patio furniture, with the exception of the table & chair set should be replaced. Everyone in the family noted how much smaller the pool looked in person than online. We loved the island, this was our second trip, but sadly if choosing again we would not stay at that location. Clearly the pictures online were taken when everything was brand new, with a wide angle lens, and not the way it REALLY looks.

We like to visit island once a while with a group of friends, we stay this house because it has enough rooms for every family, even the teens, got their own rooms! Of course, rooms are very comfortable and clean.
Especially, the location of this house closes to the restaurants that we usually like to go, very convenient!!

We had a great time. The place is awesome and we could walk to the beach. We were located on the bay side but not a far walk to the ocean side. Great food every where we went. Weather was a little on the chilly side so we didn't get to use the pool as much as we wanted but we found lots of fun places to hang. Other vrbo’s and beach rentals we’ve stayed at have had some beach items that people could use. For example: beach chairs, toy, etc. That’s always a bonus. There were no board games or lounge blankets. Other houses have left little welcome folders telling about the best places to eat and shop, and fun beaches etc. Just those minor homey details that we didn’t realize how much we’ve appreciated until we stayed at a house that didn’t have them. Still, overall a great experience!

Great beach house!
Great rental house for our family reunion. Each one of my siblings were able to have their own room and the nieces and nephews claimed the bedrooms with the bunk beds. The kitchen is spacious and had everything we needed to cook meals for our big family! The dining table was large enough for family game night and close to the pool so it was easy for us to keep an eye on kids going in and out. The second living room upstairs was a huge bonus we didn't know we needed, it gave the kids somewhere indoors to hangout and watch their own movies together so the adults could relax downstairs. Highly recommend this house & SPI Rentals! Great staff and top notch service! So many great memories were made here and we can't wait to come back for our 2022 reunion.

Fun times
We had a great time in this home. We had 15 people. It was clean. One of the king bedroom's matress was on up side down, too hard to sleep on. The pool & hot tub was fine. The kitchen was another story. This place is set up for more people than we had. But the fridge was too small. We had to buy ice chests to keep some stuff in. The ice maker did not work so we had to buy ice. There items you would expect to find in a kitchen that were not there. But there were 3 can openers & only one worked. I would return to this property but would like to see a few changes in the kitchen like a bigger fridge or a second fridge.

Totally disappointed but made it through
This house has good structure and great potential but it's in need of some upgrades. The mattresses are hard as the floor. I have never rented or slept in anything so awful. All of my guest are now complaining about back problem and no one got a good night sleep. I typically like to rent houses on the level of my own home and this house was a disappointment. Put some money into upgrading the bathroom sinks, sink faucets and showers and purchase better quality mattresses for each bedroom. At least the guest would not dread going to sleep. The microwave in the kitchen had been rusted out and they didn't bother replacing it before my stay. The Kitchen sink faucet knob was broken and needs to be replaced. The jets in the spa barely work.

We wanted to use it so the kids can have one night to sleep together in one room. Didn't happen though cause you could feel the springs.

With a house this size and the amount of tenants it sees, it is not uncommon to experience some issues. This last trip the dishwasher was not working and no hot water in the kitchen sink. In addition the hot tub was not heating. In every instance when we reach out to SPI and they are VERY reactive and have someone address it immediately. In both instances they were very minor: hot water valve to sink/dishwasher was turned off (who knows why) and hot tub was just a setting adjustment.
Despite the minor inconveniences over the years, there is NO BETTER place to host large gatherings on the island!
I would suggest a "punch": list that confirms the house is 100% ready for the next tenant. Think home inspection :-)
Finally, I suspect the "bedbug" concerns are really just mosquito bites. This past weekend they were relentless :-( Next year, we plan on bringing fogger and such to try and minimize them. I can state we DID NOT experience a bed bug issue.

Overall the property was very nice we enjoyed our time there but they got bed bugs in a lot of their bedrooms. Few of my family members got bites all over. Really upset about that they did not inspect before renting the property.
