We were all very happy with your special house inside and out. From location to ease of stay with a lot of amenities to make our stay even more special. We celebrated my husbands life with much love and to be all together was very special. We all said we love to come back around the same time next year. Best regards, Jamie Oman

The location offers beach and park access within 10 min walk, town within 15 min walk, very quiet neighborhood, and entertaining bunnies and elk. The owner, Nancy, is very responsive and helpful but mildew smells are a problem. Some of the cabin is modern - the shower, kitchen, and front porch have been renovated. The electrical hasn't been updated so almost all lights are operated with pull switches and you'll want to bring extension cords and power strips to deal with the single outlet per room. There are lots of windows on the ground floor but all except two are secured by storm windows leaving little ventilation. The whole cabin smelled of mildew on our arrival which required purchasing plug-in airwicks and candles to cover up. The worst smell comes from a closet-sized bathroom behind the kitchen and you're best off closing the door to that area unless cooking because there's no range hood or operable windows to the otherwise well-equipped kitchen. Mattress toppers help but beds need replacement. A tip jar for personal laundry? The cabin seems to be well loved by most, and it has tremendous potential, but the odors were a deal breaker for us.

Had a wonderful, relaxing week long stay. Very quiet neighborhood and an extremely well stocked house. A welcome relief from the raucous 4th of July mayhem, for 8 days, in Long Beach, WA.

The modest exterior doesn't hint at the beautiful wooden features of the interior. We had all the amenities we needed.
If the weather had been better, we would have enjoyed the back yard. The neighborhood is quiet, and the wild bunnies are fun.

What a great place for family; we enjoyed the bunnies and a herd of elk! Our lab/ retriever loved the close park for endless fetching and the close beach. If you want a clean, rustic, cabin type place this is it.

This home is old but cozy. Walked up big hill to get to the beach, which was fine. There were also a lot of tame bunnies outside, which were fun to feed veggies to. The house has children’s books upstairs which our toddler loved.
Our only complaint was that there was no range hood over the stove and we couldn’t open a window when cooking. We had to briefly keep the back door propped open whenever we cooked.

The house was just as expected. It is a cozy older home in a perfect location, walking distance to the beach and downtown. We enjoyed the easy access to Indian Beach, and the quiet neighborhood location. Also nice to allow the dogs to come with since they really enjoyed the beach. If you’re looking for an affordable rustic beach home for your family this fits the bill. Property Manager was very nice and helpful.

My friends and I, all 65+, loved this cozy home. 2blocks from the beach, close to downtown, quiet neighborhood. Hose outside to wash the sand from your feet before entering the house. Spacious bedrooms upstairs and down, very cozy living room. Have to go up steps to enter house, so I would not recommend it to someone using a walker or wheelchair, but great for families. Owner was very responsive to all our questions.

This was a great experience-it was truly a "home away from home". The owner (Nancy) was very helpful and responsive when we corresponded. The home was situated within walking distance of the downtown area. This home was very comfortable and the kitchen was probably the best stocked kitchen that I have seen of all the homes I have rented through VRBO. I would recommend this home to any of my freinds wishing to stay in Cannon Beach.

Overall a great stay. Short walk up a huge hill and down to Chapman Beach. You can see Haystack Rock perfectly fine from there and it’s way less crowded. The neighborhood was quiet, pretty and well kept. The house is older but well kept and well equipped. One of the beds upstairs is rock hard so definitely make your kids sleep on that one. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends. Only thing I wish there was is a pack n play!

This home is located in the quiet end of Cannon Beach away from tourists and adjacent to the Ecola State Park Road. It is not uncommon to see the local elk herd wandering the neighborhood which was an unexpected delight.
The house is quite old which adds a certain charm. The queen size bedrooms have comfortable mattresses but the upstairs double was very uncomfortable. Luckily, since there were only two of us this was not a problem.
Nancy was quick to respond to all emails regarding directions, lockbox code and check out instructions.
The only real complaint I have was a little thing I found offputting. There is a jar requesting $2 per load for personal laundry. Since we visited for only three days it wasn’t necessary but seems if washer and dryer are included, so should the cost of cleaning your clothes. I would recommend removing it since it hardly seems worth the negative impression it leaves.
Overall, we appreciated time away on our Mother-Daughter weekend and appreciate Nancy for her prompt responses and cozy home.

The house has plenty of room and is well stocked with everything. Even extension cords! Internet works well. Many easy ways to get to the beach from the quieter side of CB.The layout of the house is not modern, but in charming ways. The only thing is there is no bathroom upstairs by the bedrooms, which is hard at night. Also, the walls are not insulated and everyone hears all sounds. It was tricky with some zoom calls.Overall, a great place to be.

Our family had a wonderful time at the cottage! It had everything we needed. The fireplace was a highlight. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom had a great walk-in shower. It was just a few minutes walk to the beach or town. It was great!

Cozy cottage in a great part of town. We will return!

First of all, we absolutely loved the town of Cannon Beach. Lots of cute shops and restaurants, and this cottage is only a 10 minute walk from town. The location is great, just a five minute walk to the beach. This cottage is located at the north end of Cannon Beach, which is much less crowded than the south, where Haystack Rock is.The cottage itself definitely shows its age. The floors are creaky, doorknobs and window shades can be challenging, the hardwood steps leading to three bedrooms upstairs are quite steep, definitely not ideal for seniors or small children (and there is not a bathroom upstairs). None of the kitchen light fixtures worked during our stay (the host did not offer to fix them), so we had to drag table lamps from the living room to light the dark kitchen. The half bath, which you won't find pictures of, is more of a janitor's closet off the back porch (very strong Lysol smell, and spiderwebs out there). The exterior paint is peeling badly, also. And the state park pass provided was expired. On a positive note, the kitchen and main bathroom have been remodeled, and mattress toppers have been added to the downstairs queen and upstairs king beds. Despite our challenges with the cottage, we still had a nice weekend. This cottage has the potential to be adorable, with some more renovation.
