5 of us stayed here because we were familiar with the area and love traveling to the region to explore the beaches, towns, and local treasures. Having a great base to operate from is important to us. courtyard #2 checked all the boxes and property management was very helpful. Highly recommend this property for 4 adults and 4-6 kids max. Well equipped, clean, very comfortable, very secure. Close (literally steps) to Playa Langosta, and a short walk to supplies, food, and endless summer sunsets!

This is a beautiful little house a short walk from a stunning beach in a very nice community suburb of Tamarindo. It’s like ‘where the grown ups and littles go to get away from the hustle of Tamarindo while the twenty somethings go a little wild.’
The house is nicely appointed with everything you could need to be comfortable and at home. You happily migrate throughout the home appreciating different parts at different times of the day. Happy breakfasts in the communal kitchen living room, break from the beach and sun in the little dipping pool, late afts and evenings soaking in the rooftop jacuzzi. There are 5 or 6 restaurants within a short easy walk that serve great food and delicious drinks. Can not complain about any of them. Even Tamarindo is walkable - just a little more of a jaunt so depends on fitness level and temperature outside.
Pluses - beautiful little house, well designed, fit 4 teens and 3 adults (2 close families) just fine. Hosts were very responsive. Community is quiet, clean and safe with lots of options for eating.
Things to consider - pool is small and in an enclosed courtyard - great for littles, but not really big enough for a group of adults. Beach is stunning to look at, but hard to swim. Lots of lava rock, so if you really want to spend time in the ocean, get the tide schedule and go to the estuary. It’s a bit of a walk to Tamarindo, so if you are after nightlife / action then plan on cabs, the bus or rent a golf cart or car well in advance.

We had a wonderful time at this gem in Playa Langosta. Seconds from the beach and minutes from Tamarindo restaurants and nightlife. Quite and peaceful. Walking distance to a few restaurants and a little supermarket. The hotub and bar on the roof is beautiful!

I'll start with the good things... RPM was amazing to work with and I would highly recommend working with them. The location is great as it's just far enough from town to be quiet, yet it's right across the street from the beach. We enjoyed the little outdoor pool.
Unfortunately there were some downsides... Upon arrival, the AC wasn't working in one of the bedrooms, but RPM was quick to get us a portable unit for the day and repaired it the next day (Thanks!). When entering the property, you're overwhelmed with a mildew/mold smell. And when you look at the walls and ceiling throughout the property, you can see the spots and markings of it. I get this is the tropics and there is humidity and all, but at some point you have to do some mitigation. I also think the pictures on the listing are a little deceiving, as the place looks MUCH more dated than the pictures. With those things and at this price, I had to mark it down a little.
Overall we had a great time in CR though!

Convenient and beautiful home
House provided ample places for hanging out. Rooftop patio for sunset and moon views, courtyard pool for morning coffee and afternoon cool downs, front porch was great, too. Lots of space inside and out. Lots of showers (one outdoor, too) for returning from the beach. Great beach literally 20 seconds away. 12-min walk to great surf town with lots of amenities

The management company was absolutely amazing… Anytime we needed anything, including recommendations & reservations, their responses were almost immediate on WhatsApp and they were happy to help us with booking.
The beach across the street is gorgeous and great for exploring, but rocky. If you walk down a bit further, maybe 100-200 yards toward the estuary (further from town), you will find less rock, more beach, and see some talented surfers. This area is somewhat secluded, and even during spring break it wasn’t crowded at all.
Because this resort is down a bit further away from food and shopping, Definitely rent a golf cart, and if you’re going during the peak season, reserve it ahead of time. It will take you 5 min to get to the center of Tamarindo on a golf cart. You can also easily Uber. Taxis are cash only, but you can Uber with your app. Unless you have a golf cart, grabbing a quick bite to eat is pretty much out of the question, so be sure to pick up some snacks or easy meals…. There is plenty of room in the nice kitchen.
I will say that upon arrival, the upstairs area was very hot and took a while to cool down. It never got as low as we would have liked, but it wasn’t unmanageable. There were also only sheets on the twin beds when we arrived, but we found the rest of the bedding in the closets. The villa was clean, but it needs a little maintenance. There were a lot of water spots on the walls, we found a few bugs, as well as other minor flaws, but overall we were very happy with it.
I wouldn’t necessarily select this villa if you’re wanting to be in the middle of the action, But if you’re like me and like to get to the action when you feel like it, but enjoy a relaxing vacation, this is a great option!

The drive to and from the airport was easy and arranged by the management company.

La casa es tipo condominio y está muy bien ubicada en playa Langosta, muy céntrico. Si volvería a ir principalmente por la ubicación y porque es una casa cómoda. Sin embargo, necesita un poco de “cariño” y mantenimiento. Por ejemplo , los paños están en mal estado, las sábanas viejas y en mal estado, las cortinas no son del tamaño de las ventanas y no hay blackout. El rooftop necesita mejor mantenimiento y pintura. Para una “villa de lujo” me parece que son inversiones es esenciales que deben hacer para rentarla como tal. Son detalles en el mantenimiento de una villa que se renta como propiedad de lujo.

Awesome location, some issues
Condo was wonderful for the location and design. It does need some updating and deep cleaning however as there was mildew all over many walls and small broken things throughout. Condo is very close to neighbors who are very anti-noise. We were simply upstairs talking one night on the terrace and had a crazy Italian woman in our living room the next screaming us. Warning.

Three friends on a girls trip to Playa Langosta landed us at CY2. The house itself was perfect for us. We especially loved the rooftop jacuzzi where we enjoyed many a sunset. The kitchen was well outfitted, though I wish the lighting were brighter. Our housekeeper and pool attendant were lovely and both the house and the pool deck and rooftop area were immaculate. Our only disappointment was the lack of a single blow dryer (and the lighting in the kitchen).

Where can you go with your family that you can encounter the beauty of nature from your balcony? Courtyard Villas! Our family enjoyed bird watching, monkey watching, iquana watching all from the convenience of our top floor balcony. The home was beautifully designed with bathrooms for each guest room. A nice kitchen that can accomodate multiple cooks or entertaining, and a living area that was perfect for snuggling up with a good read. We had the best of all worlds. Nature, convenience, privacy, and safety...all within walking distance from a gorgeous beach, amazing sunsets, and access to wonderful dining. I would HIGHLY recommend. The staff at RPM went over and above our needs and made our stay so smooth and easy. We will definitely go again.

RPM Staff fantastic prior to arrival and throughout the stay. Very secure and attractive exterior. Unit #2 is 3 stories including the private roof top which was very nice and reason we picked it. Hot Tub only luke warm at best. Could use some updating and maintenance, including basic items like hooks on bath doors for hanging towels, and roof top arbor sanding and stain. Washer/Dryer old and leaky. Living room furniture will not accommodate 6 people for leisure and front porch furniture is in desperate need of upgrade. We are not picky people, but we really believe making some of these changes will improve the units attractiveness and function.

The property was more than we had hoped for. We were in Costa Rica for my daughter's wedding. Other family and friends had rented huge estates which lacked the charm and quaintness of our villa, and we were the only ones with a jacuzzi which was located on the roof.From the roof we had a spectacular view of the beach[which was across the street]as well as 6 monkeys that deceided to visit one of the trees near our roof.Total privacy in a beautiful tropical paradise.Would not think twice about returning to this luxurious villa with such reasonable rates!

So wonderfully relaxing and fun for our entire family. Two great master bedrooms with beautiful furnishings, luxurious amenities and peaceful private gardens. The kids kept asking us "are we really staying here?" The thought they had died and gone to heaven.<br/>Private hot tub under the stars for mom and dad, private pool to splash in after a hot day at the beach for the kids. The kitchen needs to be sprayed for bugs. A few roaches along with some residue were seen. Otherwise, the house was great and the RPM staff was wonderful.
