This property is OUTSTANDING! The house is beautiful, impeccably clean (cleanest house I’ve ever rented), and a well-stocked kitchen. We were a large party of 7 with a dog and there was plenty of room for all. The location is ideal! The town of Jackson is a little over an hour away. Jenny lake is about an 1 1/2, colter bay under 2 hrs and Yellowstone 2 1/2 hrs. My husband and sons fly fished on the Salt Creek on the property and found a great spot in Alpine on the Grey river off of the snake river. I highly recommend horseback riding at Rockin M Ranch; the horses are healthy & happy, the guides are friendly, and it’s a great tour. I also recommend Dan Hansen Whitewater rafting; again a great time, very professional & accommodating. Eric, the gentleman who owns the house, is great. Very, very responsive to questions (even called me when he felt the text would be too long or confusing) and super personable. It was a great family vacation made better by staying in this amazing house. Thank you so much Eric!!!

Wonderful time at the cabin.

Nice private cabin with lots of room for kids and adults, open kitchen and dining, great deck and fire pit with beautiful views of mountains all around. It got a bit hot in the afternoons (late July) as there is no air conditioning ( like most mountain cabins) , but the fans helped. Plenty of activities in the area. Only problems were that there’s an active mining operation nearby so you have to watch out for the trucks coming in and out on the road to the cabin as they do NOT watch for incoming cars. and the sprinklers ran several times a day, making a muddy mess of the driveway and getting the cars wet. Overall a great experience and Eric was very communicative and available for questions.

House was perfectly decorated with many small details throughout.
Kitchen fully stocked. Ample room to cook and dine.
Living room spacious and comfortable.
Plenty of beds to fit the family.
Wonderful location. Quiet and scenic.
Mornings and evenings on the deck were relaxing.
Saw many birds of prey including golden eagles.
Highly recommended!!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this cabin! Eric was amazing at communicating with us! Recent flooding had washed out the road, so he guided us through some detours to help us arrive safely at the cabin! We loved the large kitchen, and we had all the kitchen items needed to feed a large family. The large wraparound deck was perfect for morning and evening relaxing and the fire pit was great for roasting marshmallows at night. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs that each have a queen bed and 2 twin beds, and the master bedroom is on the main floor with it’s own bathroom. We loved the nearby stores, restaurants, and golf courses. The cabin was perfect for our family of 8, and we will be back again next year!

This is a perfect place for a family vacation. Great house and view. The house/kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need.
The bonus is… you won’t find a better host! Eric is awesome and is just a call away if you need him. Hoping to get to visit again one day in the future!

Cabin met my family's needs nicely. Plenty of room and great privacy. We found good fishing on Grey and Little Grey as well as several streams in Idaho. Salt River had poor access and was murky. Spent time in Diggs, ID and Jackson, WY.
Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your property.

My family spent Christmas 2022 here and it was everything we had hoped for. The cabin is very nice, with amazing views of mountains. The cabin is about a 45-60 minute drive to Jackson Hole, with the smaller town of Alpine being about a 20 minute drive. Eric (owner) is very good with communicating and very patiently answered all our questions about the house and activities to do while we were there. There's plenty of snow in December, so if you want a winter wonderland, this is it. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall this house is fine it is in need of some repairs. Weeds need to be mowed down could not even see the fire pit area. We really enjoyed the fishing on the property.

Our family of 4 adults and a baby loved this cabin. It was wonderful to come back to this cozy cabin after a day of visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton. We loved the views of mountains from the huge deck, and the morning visits of mule deer. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.

This property is beautiful, comfortable, and well situated for both morning and evening sun. It is fully stocked and met our needs during a 7 week stay. It is 5 minutes to a wonderful grocery and 20 minutes to great health care as we did have a unexpected medical emergency during our stay. The grill and porch offered daily relaxation and dining outside. The property is secluded and private and the river fishing was fun. The owner could not be more responsive and accommodating. A great place to work and play! We would definitely stay again!

The property was beautiful and perfect for our family of 9. It is very close to grocery stores and we enjoyed eating in the dining area and watching the scenery and sunset. Great experience!! I hope all our VRBO stays will be as enjoyable and comfortable as this one.

The Star of Star Valley!
We decided to rent the Freedom Cabin and we were not disappointed. The property is easily accessible off the main highway in Star Valley, but set back far enough from the road that we had complete peace and privacy. We approached the cabin through a stand of tall cottonwood trees, and it sits on 35 beautiful acres of land. We also enjoyed the hike across the property to visit the rushing river on this private land.
There is plenty of parking for any number of vehicles on level ground in front of the cabin. The exterior has a wide, wrap around porch with provided adirondack chairs, and a propane barbecue. We cooked several meals outside and just sat and enjoyed the majestic views of the local mountains, fields and surrounding wildlife. We were visited by the resident pair of great horned owls every evening who sat on the rooftop.
As you enter the cabin from the front door, you notice high vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and beam construction. The kitchen is well equipped with a drip coffee pot, filters, microwave, pots and pans, utensils, dishes, coffee mugs, glasses, storage bowls and much more. There was also a good supply of cooking oil, spices and everything you need to cook at home and share at the large dining table in the open space.
The family room had comfortable seating for the 4 of us with plenty of room to spare. We enjoyed nightly fires in the massive 2 story stone fireplace in this area.
My husband and I stayed in the first floor, very large master bedroom, which also has a lovely crib for families traveling with a baby. The high, log style queen bed had a very comfortable mattress set and we slept very well there. There is a large bathroom connected to the master sleeping area with a step in shower, separate toilet area and large sink. The water pressure was great and we had water as hot as we needed it. The owner has supplied plenty of towels, washcloths, soap, shampoo and conditioners if you choose not to bring your own. There is also a large closet with hangers to unpack your suitcase in, all in this master bedroom space. The upstairs has 2 large bedrooms, both with queens and twin beds, with a pull out bed in the loft. This property is amazing and we will return! Thank you Eric!

Group of Outdoors Guys exploring the area.
We had a group of 6 guys that were looking to do a ton of outdoors activity while still feeling some remoteness and cost effectiveness from Downtown Jackson Hole. The cabin suited all of our needs. The space had amazing views, close proximity (10 miles-20 miles) to cool neighboring towns, 1hr to Jackson Hole, and 1hr and 20 to Tetons. The town of Alpine was really nice with the lake and hiking in Idaho.
Eric was quick responder and the process was seamless. The property even allowed us to explore some creeks and wet some lines through a few fields. Great place, great dude to rent from, and I have already recommended the cabin to many others!

Nice and remote location
Property is remote and quite, clean but furniture is due replacement in living room and dining room. Owner is very nice and goes out of his way to assist you. About an hour over mountains to Jackson Hole, two plus hours to Yellowstone. 1.5 hours to Idaho Falls. Alpine 20 min north Thayne 10 min south. Both have grocery stores but places to eat limited and closed by 8pm for the most part. Would stay there again, Jackson Hole very crowded and expensive.

Beautiful view
We (7 adults and 2 children) had a wonderful time. The cabin was roomy and had everything we needed. We spent evry night around the firepit. Having the river on the property was great. It was a short drive to the Tetons and there are several dame towns close by for shopping. Would highly recommend staying here.

Awesome!
Wonderful cabin and beautiful property. We went to Grand Teton and Yellowstone. It’s a bit of driving as the cabin is 45 minutes or so to Jackson but it’s a beautiful drive. If we ever head to Wyoming again, we’ll return to this cabin!

Beautiful log home in secluded setting
Beautiful, open home with great 360 view of mountains. Convenient to Thayne for groceries, eating and fuel. Had a great time at Dad’s steakhouse with live band, Tootsie’s restaurant was great! Great home base for trips Jackson, Idaho Falls, Teton mountains, etc. Note: grocery stores closed on Sunday. Eric was very helpful in guiding us to the property and our other questions. Finally - the FIREPLACE is amazing at the end of the day!
