The view was priceless! We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the beds. It didn’t look like the sheets and pillowcases were washed. There was hair and food on them. The rest of the house was clean and spacious.

I was racing the High Lonesome 100 miler, and this house was ideal location for my family and friends to stay. Nice space and comfortable !

Great mountain views of the collegiate peaks from your backyard. Easy to commute to Aspen and Crested Butte. The couch upholstery and carpets had lots of stains, so we didn't feel like it was clean. But bathroom and kitchen were kept tidy. City market is also really close by for your groceries.

Property was ok, seems like the hosts didn't put much effort into it. There was underwear left in the drawers from the prior guest, mostly used soap bars, dirty sponge in the kitchen, yard was very unkept, missing and disconnected smoke detectors, dirty carpet, those sort of things. No one drastic thing, just lots of little things that could have been taken care of with a bit more effort on the part of the host.

Stayed for a relaxing bachelorette weekend. Weather didn't go as planned but we had a great time anyway. The house was clean and comfortable. The owner was very communicative and accommodating. Upon arriving, maintenance stopped by to make sure we were set and answer any questions. It is within a couple minutes of town and hot springs. The views were beautiful, even had about a dozen deer come up to the house. Definitely recommend.

Very cozy, clean and easy. Loved having extra towels and LOVED the hot tub. ONLY thing I would say is that the oven doesn’t work.

We loved this cozy home in Buena Vista. Super clean and a gorgeous backyard view of the mountains with a hot tube. Would definitely book again.

Had a great time. Hot tub was fantastic.

The location was roughly 40 minutes from the ski area but allowed us to sleep in and still get to the slopes at a decent time. The house was very clean, easy to find, near a store and gas station and had the most beaitiful view. It was really perfect. There was enough room for all the kids (3 fourtee. Year old boys, a 4 year old and 5 month old) to sleep and play without being on top of each other and the hot tub made coming off the mountain enjoyable. While we didnt need it we did tale note that the site did have arm rails along the shower etc and was pretty handicap accessable. Every morning there was wildlife in the back. And the owner was very responsive.

The house itself is ok but understand it is in an actual neighborhood, not just "with neighbors close by" as the description leads me personally to believe. It is extremely outdated and we really struggled with the old thermostat, after literally an hour I was able to get it to kick the furnace on but I wasn't able to turn it back down when we were trying to leave. The refrigerator literally smelled like something died in it but was clean to my sight. The only reason that I rented this place was for the hot tub with that view. The day we arrived I sent a message to confirm that we could use it and the owner stated that "the last guests had a hard time and she probably should have let me know sooner that it wasn't working." I went out to investigate and was able to get the water to start heating up but the hot tub was so dirty the water was brown and had a film on top of it along with TONS of debris and the smell was pretty bad here too. We went in December so we didn't really spend a ton of time in the yard without the hot tub. Upon notifying the homeowner (that I paid EXTRA hazard and incidental insurance), all she really had to say was that she was sorry and had been sick. There was no offer of a refund for even my cleanings fees or anything. I have stayed at several personally owned vacation rentals and this was my first experience of a property being this far off from advertised. I have definitely learned my lesson to start calling people and asking if hot tubs work, or about amenities, etc. I am very upset about my stay at this place because the owner did NOTHING to try to make it right with me.

First time to stay in the area and we loved the town and the rental home. The view, the hot tub and the walks around town were lovely. We stayed over the 4th of July and loved the parade and the town.

The view is gorgeous from this property, I would say it is more for family and not a romantic or friends getaway. Nice place well appointed. Shout out for Mark, really nice and responsive for any questions we had.

Very nice 3bedroom home in a great and scenic location in BV. Terrific Mountain Views, deer sightings, clean house with all amenities including a hot tub. Also close to every thing in town. And close to all the hiking you dream of! You’ll love this place!

Great place
The property is as nice as it looks. The location is perfect with an amazing view of Mt. Princeton. Plenty of room for my family of seven to stretch out. We took full advantage of the deck and hot tube.

Property Manager was Awesome!
We experienced a complications on our trip with our vehicle and the property manager went above and beyond to help locate a mechanic to help us! We were up and running in less than a day! And any questions we had about the property were answered throughly and without delay.

Easy and Efficient!
Stayed here for a vacation with family and for an ultra race in the area. Super easy check in and check out process. Great location with walking access to downtown BV and an unobstructed view of Mt Princeton.

Nice view
We were frustrated during the check in process as it's impossible to get ahold of anyone. We were hoping to check in 30 minutes early because their check in time isn't until 4pm and we were coming in for a wedding at 4pm that day. An automated email says no early check ins and no one responded. We just needed to setup the children's bedding was all. Then when we got to the house late at night after the wedding there was no futon in the master which we were relying on for one of the kids. The house is very dated and musky but does have everything we needed for the most part and a gorgeous view. We left our daughters favorite stuffed animal and when we tried to contact them to see if they found it, again no response. All in all it was fine but not overly impressed.

Sweet, Cozy and Views for Days!
The house was exactly as it appeared online, spacious, clean, comfortable, with AMAZING views. Great location to downtown but tucked away enough to where you felt like you had privacy. Very quiet, peaceful surroundings. The hot tub was so wonderful and the house was stocked with everything we needed to cook at home and just relax. Highly recommend! The only negative we came across was that the mattress in the master bedroom was VERY stiff. We couldn't use it. There were plenty of other beds, so it wasn't a big deal, but that was a little disappointing because the master space was nice. I would absolutely rent this home again! :)

Great home for family travel
Great family home for travelers. We enjoyed visiting nearby Mount Princeton Hot Springs. The home provided everything that we needed for the seven of us and was conveniently located. We would enjoy staying here again.

Disappointing
The hot tub and view as advertised were great. My friends and I found a number of unpleasant surprises during our stay. There were dead bugs in the windowsill and on the floor behind the couch. Sliding glass door was smudged. Towels were left in the washer wet. Dryer was also full of towels which were not put away. When we opened the oven to cook a meal we found a frying pan with grease in it and oven cleaner still left in the bottom of the oven. We couldn't get the remote to work for any of the TVs and there were no instructions.. One of the beds was comfortable, the others were not. Don't like to be a complainer, but wouldn't want others to have the experience we had. The home was NOT worth the price we paid.

It was just ok
This property was large and the views were amazing but it needs updating. The master bed was so uncomfortable (hard) that my fiancé and I slept on the couch the whole time. The sheets were clean but smelled a little musty, like they had been stored for a while. The kitchen didn’t have very many dishes so we were glad we brought paper plates and plastic cups. Our friends said the twin beds were comfy and we really enjoyed the hot tub. The stars were amazing at night. Overall the property was fine, but outdated and not fully stocked.

Nice weekend
We enjoyed our stay but there were a few conveniences that were lacking. As a group of 6, we wanted to make a few suggestions. First the title “secluded” isn’t accurate. The home sits in a neighborhood within town limits. Which was perfect for us, but secludednis not accurate. The mountain view from the back was as billed -gorgeous!!
The master bedroom bed was, very firm. Maybe a memory foam topper would help. Heavier curtains in the master would also be helpful as sheer curtains and no blinds make sleeping in difficult. The frame of the queen bed in the spare bedroom has a weird lean to it, it looks as if the bed may come apart. Hand soap was provided but it seemed odd that there was no shower gel/bar soap for the shower. It’s a small thing but it’s wxpected in hotels and I’ve never had a home stay that didn’t provide this. Just a thought.
The kitchen could use mixing bowls for meal prep, for chips, etc.. A tea kettle, either stove top or electric would be nice as would a coffee grinder. Containers for food leftovers would be nice too. Having re-useable ones you run the risk of them walking away with guests, but maybe save some old food containers (eg butter or yougurt tubs) to leave so guests may store leftovers. Some plastic, reusable drinking cups would be good for indoor, outdoor use.
Genuinely, we had a nice time. The beds could use a little TLC. And the house could stand to have a few small conveniences added. We have others we would love to send here but hesitate due to the aforementioned.

Description vs Reality
We've stayed here just recently in February 2019 and we were super disappointed upon arrival. First things first, this place is not secluded as the title states. There are neighbors on both sides and a very shady home across the street. Second, this is a double-wide home and not a "Mountain Meadows lodge" as described. Other negatives, the hot tub was dirty and unusable throughout the whole weekend even after we complained. The internet was down upon arrival but it was fixed by the cleaning person which is the POC for this property upon arrival. She was great and the saving grace to this whole weekend. The TVs depend on the internet and Google Chromecast for programming, there is no cable. The driveway and walkway were not shoveled. Last but NOT least, I hope my review sticks on VRBO because there were no reviews for this place on or before booking! There are positives, this is a very spacious place, close to downtown Buena Vista and the view from the backyard is no doubt, great. Bottom line, this not a bad place but renters beware, there's a big difference between the VRBO description and reality!!!
