Clean, quiet, comfortable cabin perfect for a restful getaway close to downtown and fun.

Had a great time. The cabin is very nice. It was a little warm for September and we didn't sleep to well since there was no way to cool the house unless you opened all the windows. Also had to call and ask for the code to the key box as it was not in included in the welcome email or on the app. Overall a nice place and we enjoyed ourselves. Thanks.

This rental property was very relaxing and well appointed. The bed was comfortable (though a little tall). The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. The location was perfect to get into and out of town. It was also very close to the park; it was nice to walk down to the lake.

We loved this place. It feels much more spacious than the square footage would lead you to believe, and it was very clean. Neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, with lots of open spaces. So many lovely wildflowers, and saw several deer (and fawns!) passing through the vacant lot next door. The location is great-- within easy walking or biking distance to Ponderosa park and both Lakeview and Davis beaches. It would be a fairly easy bike ride to downtown McCall too, though we didn't attempt that. The beds and couch were quite comfy, and the kitchen and bathrooms were very well-stocked. We loved all the extras, especially the selection of bikes in the garage, which worked for all of our family members. (There's an air compressor too!) Loved the grill and smart TV too. A few issues with the thermostat, but the fireplace was awesome. Highly recommend, especially if you're bringing a doggo (not many pet-friendly options in McCall that we could find, so felt very lucky to come across this one).

Could be better the cleaning, find more towels in the kitchen, bathrooms, better internet connection..…but it was useful to find bikes in the garage,..thanks for sharing them.

Cozy log cabin with back porch for BBQing if you so choose. Automatic fireplace warmed up cabin nicely. Close to marina and boat launch. Kitchen well stocked with ample pots and pans, utensils, glass ware. Both Keurig and regular coffee maker. Didn’t realize had access to garage until last day as garage key not in noticeable location. Wi-if did not work. Insufficient hot water for multiple showers, had to wait for hot water to recover.

We had a nice stay at the cabin. It was clean, fully equiped, dog friendly and very comfortable. Much nicer than condos that I have rented in McCall on prior trips. We would love to return and stay again.

This was a super nice cabin for a weekend getaway with the wife and pups. For those with pets, this doesn't have a fenced yard, not a negative, just informational. This is a small but well laid out cabin with a large open central area and nice sized bedrooms.
Previous reviewers recently mentioned a non working fireplace. The fireplace was in working condition at the time of our stay and was nice to have.
The description mentions that it backs up to Ponderosa State Park. It's in very close proximity to the park, but is not directly adjacent. Access to the park is very close by, but not directly from this property.

Beds are comfy, showers have great water pressure. Fireplace is new but pending replacement if a circuit board and wiring harness.

This cabin is in a great location for dog owners who want to take walks. We have 2 Standard Poodles and were pleased to find a home that would allow us to bring both of our dogs along. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, close to the Ponderosa State Park. We saw lots of birds, squirrels and some mule deer.

The cabin was in a nice location and very quiet and secluded. The management company was quick to respond to our concerns with a few issues but overall we had a good time and a nice stay.

We have rented from VRBO/ Vacasa for years in many locations. The property was disgustingly dirty everywhere. Called property management immediately, which was Sat. Around 4:30pm. They asked that I send pictures which I had many of. They said someone would drop by Sunday. No one showed. Manager came Mon. Morning and agreed the property was completely unacceptable. Refunded cleaning fee. The straw that broke the camels back was when I turned on the water to shower and water spewed everywhere in the bathroom. So I had a shower before I even got in the shower. Left a day early because we were so disgusted. Property has many maintenance and upgrades that need to be addressed.

The property location was great—very quiet. The living area was comfortable, and the kitchen was well appointed. It was also really nice having a spacious garage that we could park in to get out of the snow. One problem we had was that we couldn’t get the heat in the main living area above 66 degrees—even with the thermostat turned all of the way up, so we had to huddle under blankets to watch tv… Also, we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the shower in the guest bathroom. Other than those two issues, it was a comfortable stay.

Quiet neighborhood not too far from town or the lake. Homey atmosphere with plenty of parking.

When you pay as much in fees as you do in nightly rate you expect the property manager (Vacasa) to be top notch. In this case a working fireplace was a major selection criteria and we were disappointed to learn once there the gas fireplace was inoperable. Vacasa communicated this to us, but never offered a discount or anything. Then we discovered the master bath drain was clogged so you were standing in ankle deep water.
Then the wifi password listed was incorrect. We had to find the router and decipher the tiny print to find the correct one.
These disappointments overshadowed what is otherwise a nice house. Comfortable and well-stocked kitchen with pots, pans, utensils and dishware. Even coffee, filters to go with the coffeemaker. If Vacasa upped their game, this would have been a 4 star house.

I love the location and the layout… and not to be a jerk but it was a huge bummer that the sliding screen door was broken so unbeknownst to me until second day after multiple bites I realized it was bent and broken, along with almost all other windows had broken or fully missing screens ..
closet doors were broken and carpet had numerous pet stains on carpet that make it difficult to go without socks .. and wasn’t great for allergies. I am being honest because it’s a Marriott property so my expectations were very high and so that was a bummer to me.
Enjoying the outside fresh air was something we couldn’t do because of the broken screens, also the vertical blinds had no handle to open / shut and 4 missing pieces were shoved in the corner of living room, bedroom pillows were chewed through so that was kinda gross as well.
Location amazing but the things that were broken, stained and not clean made it tough to relax.
I guess this place is more for pet lovers or families with kids who are rowdy.

Nice place that I would stay again. Just a couple of issues that were a bit irritating. The fireplace does not work and we had to run to the store and get kitchen trash bags and paper towels.

Lots of room and comfy amenities. Definitely would stay here again

The shower and liner were dirty, along with floor, the fireplace did not work and the TV in the master was not a TV just a dvd plater and the remote was broken. The Cain was great but I’d ready for an update. Thank you

This home is within walking distance of Ponderosa State Park. It was great to be able to easily access the Park's trail system.
We were also pleased that this rental is dog-friendly.

When we walked in the cabin was clean, and roomy. The kitchen was full of pots and pans and dishes. It could use new pot holders and a new cutting board but all in all, it was nice. The backyard patio was a nice spot to have a morning coffee. Having the mule deer come in every morning was such a treat. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and had plenty of toilet paper and towels. The beds were very nice. We had a great time and can't wait to go back.

Nice Deck. Large great room for size of the place. Open kitchen. Huge table.
Upon arrivel the refrigerator was not cold, but after 24hours it was fine...may have been off before we arrived. Also the garbage disposal wasn't working -- yes we found out the hard way...but we managed to fix it..we found a dime in lodged in the disposal (not ours). All throughout there were a quite a few spots on the carpet, but we found cleaner in the laundry space and they seemed to come up (seemed like old spots that had resurfaced with foot traffic) ....Just basic stuff you would find in a five star cabin rental "glamping" vs staying at a five star hotel. The washer and dryer worked well, and the beds were comfy.
The price was fair for the accomodations.

Great getaway
This is a wonderful place to stay. Convenient location, easy to get in and out of and dog friendly. It is a nice mellow neighborhood in the mountains. Very clean and comfortable as well. The only complaint which is not the owners or VRBO's fault is the other people who stay here dont pick up their dog poop. So if you bring your pet please clean up after them. It is a luxury to be able to travel with dogs.

Great Location ~ Near town and Ponderosa State Park
We enjoyed our stay at Strawberry Log Cabin. The beds were comfortable and clean. Two full bathrooms come in handy. the home is spacious and private. There is not a fence, but there's lots of space outside to let dogs out for a quick run around. We enjoyed walking a quarter mile down the street to the park.

McCall stay
Great place for our weekend ski trip. The house was the right size for our family and my my mom. The house was clean and in a great area.
My only suggestions are to fix the faucets in both showers. And the kitchen needs some essentials that just add that extra touch like flour, coffee, sugar etc.

Nice Place
Great location, nice floor plan but it hadn't been cleaned well. The bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned, there were greasy, dirty pans in the cupboards and the carpet could use a shampooing. The vertical blinds for the sliding glass doors are totally trashed and don't slide. Someone has tried repairing them with-Duct Tape-!!!

Perfect for a Weekend Getaway
I thought the pictures of the house didn't do it justice. It was nicer and roomier than we had expected. The location is exceptionally nice being very close to Ponderosa state park. We enjoyed reading by the gas fire place in the mornings.

Nice spot in Mccall
Had a nice stay. Great location. Place is nice enough - cozy but way overpriced for what it is. Wasn’t particularly clean. Dog hair, etc. Also had trouble getting fireplace to turn on. Appreciated being able to park in the garage.
