Guests had a wonderful time enjoying the lake, sandy beach, kayaks, paddle boats, pool, and hot tub. The amenities were plentiful, the house was clean and comfortable, and the owner, Sharon, was incredibly responsive and helpful.
1.0
It was very dirty and the bedsheets weren’t washed, they had sand and they smelled very bad. The pool was freezing cold and non of my kids could go inside. The first night we had to stay up till two in the morning to wash the sheets because they were dirty, but then after we did that, the pillow was very bad and they smelled horrible. There were spiders all over the house.

It was myself, my wife, daughter, son, son in law and two grandchildren. The lake and woods are stunning. We kayaked the lakes for hours, swam in the pool, and had a campfire one night. We only left the property to shop for food. Quite a bit of wildlife and there birding was great.

My group of 12 (6 Adults, 6 Children) stayed at Sharon's house for one week in middle June 2024. Everyone had a great time. Check in was easy. The house was ready for us exactly when promised. The neighborhood is clean and quiet, and the land was well kept.
The house has wifi that was strong throughout the house and on decks.
The kids enjoyed the on site swimming pool, fishing in the lake, kayaking in the lake, and nightly campfires. There was also an abundance of wildlife to enjoy: Deer, turtles, fish, and a big gray cat that would sun on the deck in the mornings.
There were a couple issues that arose over the week: a hornet's nest outside, a mechanical issue with the boats, and a stopped toilet, but Sharon sent professionals to solve these issues immediately.
Overall, we would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a great family getaway. There is enough to do on site that you can realistically keep everyone busy without having to travel. Additionally, Kalahari indoor waterpark is only 15 minutes away if you are looking to get out for a day.
Thanks Sharon!

Had a great time. The location was great — beautiful lake with wildlife and sandy beach. Overall, the trip was great, and all of the amenities that were listed were present.
A few criticisms:
It had a DIY vibe. Deck and play set were splintery and needed shoes at all times. The top row of the retaining wall was disconnected and a fall hazard. Indoor stairs had transition pieces between the rise and run that sagged with every step. Slats missing in the pool fence that our kids quickly found and exploited.
The indoor areas were very clean, but the outdoor areas were not. Decks were full of debris and bees; boats were very dirty. Row boat is not water tight, which was a surprise.
The hot tub was so overly chlorinated that we didn't even try to get in. It burned our eyes just standing next to it with the cover on. This is clearly because the instructions provided insisted that users pour chlorine in it after every use.
The other piece worth noting is that the rules were very intense. Some were just not their business (e.g., no being in the hot tub for more than 15 minutes, "no yelling sounds at any time"). Some were just common sense (e.g., no pouring gasoline down the toilets). Given the state of the property, the intensity of rules was unwarranted.
The owner seems like a nice person, and I think is just trying to take care of everyone. The place was still great and we really did have a wonderful time despite the shortcomings, but I wish the price were a bit lower.

Great place. It was nice staying somewhere were they had kayaks, paddle boats and row boats connected to a beautiful lake. Very clean home and up to date.

We enjoyed a mini-reunion in this spacious well-equipped house with its many sleeping options. The kids loved having the pool, play equipment, and lake activities so accessible. The owner was very responsive and pleasant. The older home had modernized kitchen and bathrooms, but is in need of additional sprucing up, particularly the deck surface. Nevertheless we had a wonderful time in this lovely spot!

We all loved the beach, kayaks and lake. The house was clean, well furnished and stocked with everything you need. Sharon was a good hostess answering

The property is exactly as advertised. The outdoor amenities are wonderful (kayaks, boats, lake, pool, sand beach, play area for children, and hot tub). Sharon is extremely responsive and always available to help out. The beds were very comfortable, which is not always the case with vacation rentals. We also got perfect weather and just before mosquito season. My family had an amazing time!

Communication with the owner, Sharon, was very good. The house had a great size to accommodate our group of 11 and the amenities were great. The area/neighborhood is beautiful. We have a family member in a wheelchair and the first floor of the house is accessible and worked well in terms of accessibility. We did have to carry our family member up the stairs for her to be able to join everyone else in the main kitchen area, dining room and main living area as this floor is only reachable through stairs; we made it work for our group. We had a lovely family reunion.

We enjoyed our stay at the house. I would imagine that it would be even better during the summer when all of the amenities can be used.

Kids had off school one Friday so we decided to come here for a quick weekend away. Kalahari was only 10 mins away and skiing at Jack Frost was 25 mins. The hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing. There was also snow outside so the kids had a blast. Only recommendation would be to turn the heat up before guests arrive in the winter :)

Wonderful home in a perfect location. Plenty of room for a large group. We had 8 kids with us and they loved the downstairs space with the games and their own bedrooms. The views from the house are gorgeous! There's plenty of activities to do right on the property. The boys loved exploring the woods on the side of the house. There were kayaks, a row boat, a standing paddle board, and a paddle boat. The hot tub was very relaxing and got a lot of use. The beach type backyard with the sand and the firepit were a huge hit. The beds were pretty comfortable, there was plenty of bath towels and pool towels, 2 refrigerators, and a large washer and dryer. We ordered our groceries via Instacart from a local shoprite and they were there with 90 minutes. The host was very available and texted us a few times to see how we were doing.
I really have nothing bad to say about this house.

We had an awesome summer vacation at this house! We definitely took advantage of the amenities and used the pool and hot tub several times. The kayaks were great for exploring the lake! And it’s really nice for kids because you have a sand beach and playhouse for them to use without having to drive. The house itself was very clean. It’s an older house and a few things needed fixing but we had everything we needed and Sharon was incredibly responsive to all of our requests. The house comfortably fit our party of 10 (3 kids who used bunks and the crib). It’s an easy drive to lots of fun activities.

We enjoyed our stay. The owner was very helpful. Couple minor questions at check-in. She resolved them immediately. There were ten of us and had ample room for all to relax. The house was very well stocked with staples and beach towels. The beds were all very comfortable.
Only disappointment was the water was filled with seaweed; we understand this was a community issue, not the owners.
We could still kayak, and the swimming pool was very clean and lots of fun. We had ample kayaks for all and enjoyed all the waterways and lakes.
Lovely time....

Checked all of the boxes
We were looking for a place on the water, with a pool, that allowed dogs and this had it all. Sharon was great to work with. My one note for future renters would be that the lake is not swimmable right off of the property due to vegetation growth under the water. Not sure if this is a new thing due to the heat this year, but our group was happy taking a paddle board out into the bigger part of the lake to swim or using the pool.

Sharon was very accommodating. The house was spacious for a group.
It was a great house. Very close to vineyards.

Great summer getaway with everything!
We stayed at Long Pond for the 4th of July - a group of twelve, including adults and kids. The house was in great condition and had everything we needed. The various boats, including a paddleboat, multiple kayaks, and even a child sized kayak were definitely the highlight of the trip. The kids loved playing on the sandy beach and on the playground. Lots of places to relax- socks, decks, picnic tables. The pool was nice but note that it is not heated and was a bit chilly in early July. The kitchen was fully stocked with tons of dishes and lots of pots/pans, only lacking in Tupperware and napkins. Sharon was fantastic to deal with and quick with responses. She even had the dishwasher replaced the day we checked in that the previous group had broken, and also quickly addressed an issue with the pool. Her property manager Vic was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend booking this listing!

Great for a relaxing weekend
The property was excellent! It was a nice central location in the Poconos for our group to head out for a few days of golfing. The house itself was just as advertised and it was able to comfortably accommodate our large group of 11. Its location on the lake, the multiple deck levels, hot tub and pool, fire pit, and numerous games and activities were great to use during our down time. The property manager was helpful and responsive, and made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay.

Great property, but…
The property is really nice and perfect for a girls weekend getaway/recharge. We did have problems with the heat but that was promptly addressed. Unfortunately, all the rules, long lists of dos and donts around the house, the extremely long text from the host the day of check-in, and the almost 60 page booking agreement (in addition to what you click through when booking through VRBO) are the reasons I wouldn’t book this property again. It seemed the host was uneasy about people renting the property and that uneasiness rubbed off on us during the stay. Again, beautiful space but I wouldn’t stay here again because of the type of communication and the feeling of walking on eggshells.

Weekend Stay
This is a beautiful property, and I can honestly say that the pictures don't do justice to just how picturesque it is. We were a group of six adults and two dogs. The home, space and layout were just perfect and so inviting. The home is very clean and the hosts have thought of everything - including a game room downstairs and a "Things to Do" folder. Communicating with Sharon was so easy, and she was readily available if needed. Needless to say, we will most definitely be returning!

Lake house vacation
We had a lovely fRamily vacation at the lake. The house was perfect for us, had 5 bedrooms, a nice living room with a downstairs play space. The pics on line are a little out dated, we were hoping the house would have been a little more modern than it was but we made the best of it.

Something for everyone
What a beautiful place to go get away from everything!!
We only had 5 ppl and definitely had plenty of room for more
Everything in the photos and descriptions are accurate.
It was chilly when we were there but loved sitting around the fire inside
My daughter and her fiancée and their 3 year old stayed in the basement and my husband and I stayed upstairs
It was beautiful looking out from every balcony
We enjoyed the daily visits from the deer lol
They really had everything you needed for your home away from home getaway
The host, Sharon, was excellent!!!
Not one of us had anything negative to say
I just wanted to make one comment in case anyone has any issues like mine:
I’ve had 8 major foot and ankle surgeries and 2 back surgeries in the past 10 years
I knew with 3 stories ( in the house) it would be a lot of steps ( I use a chair lift at home)
It was challenging but I did it
If you have any physical issues like me than you might want to look for something with fewer steps
I will not hesitate to go back but might stay on the 1st floor instead of the 3rd floor lol
Thank you for letting us enjoy some family time in your home 👍👍

Wonderful girls weekend!
A group of us ladies do a poconos trip every fall. This house was wonderful!!! It met everyone’s “must haves” and for a group of 8 different women, that’s a hard thing to do! The lake itself it’s gorgeous and we spent most of our time on the water bc there were plenty of boats for us all. The house was great. Super quiet and on a back road. It had everything we could have needed. I have stayed at a lot of really high end rental properties and the one thing I walk away saying most of the time is why can’t they provide more than a “starter pack” of toilet paper and paper towels?! It’s such an easy thing and makes vacation be vacation. This house had tons of paper products! And on top of the paper products, it had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in every bathroom. I just thought that was such a nice touch. The host was also wonderful! We had great communication. We’ve been doing a long weekend girls trip for many years now, and we all have decided this is our favorite house. Thank you so much for such a peaceful, relaxing weekend!

Great time with pets and kids
We had such a great time! House and property were as described, area is secluded without being remote. So nice to be able to bring our dogs- they loved the lake! The kayaks and the hot tub were our favorite part. My toddler loved playing in the sand and on the playground equipment. We did not use the pool because it was too chilly so maybe a heater for that would be nice, but other than that no complaints! The property owner was kind and very responsive. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back in the future !

Great Mom's Getaway
We had a great time at our little oasis on the lake. A bunch of mom's decided to take some time off and relax by the lake. Everything is right there. We went hiking, kayaking, used the hot tub and firepit. We did one dinner out and was able to get an uber to and from the restaurant. There was more than enough room for us to gather but still have our own space. Thank you for sharing your house!

Perfect family retreat
Homeowner is wonderful to work with and extremely responsive. This house was the perfect combination for all things summer! The AC keeps the house very cool and comfortable and hot water is great! Wifi worked great also. Just needs some more sand added after rain storms and a few more chairs for the beach. I recommend bringing beach chairs. Otherwise, perfect spot. There is something for everyone!!! We will definitely be returning! Thank you Sharon!

Had a wonderful week.
We were three generations of family ranging in age from 9 to 79. We had a few minor glitches upon arrival (tv, boat) but Sharon was very responsive and remedied the situation. We didn’t even use the pool or the hot tub as all of our time was spent fishing, kayaking and playing on the sandy beach. My grandson lost count of the number of fish he caught. (Some of the bass were 9 or 10 inches long!) The kitchen was well stocked with dinnerware, utensils and cookware. We were all impressed with how comfortable the beds were. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful
This location was beautiful. Our family ranged in age from 11 to 74. The house had many amenities so there was something for everyone. The owner responded immediately to any issue we had. There were so many outside things to do (kayak, paddleboat, swim, fish, etc.) that we didn't utilize as many of the inside activities as you could. We would definitely go back.

Best of all worlds
We had an amazing stay! Sharon was extremely responsive and checked in throughout the stay to make sure we were ok. Having the lake right there, plus pool and hot tub, there was something for everyone. The little ones loved the sandy beach and play set, and making s’mores by the fire. Plenty of room inside for everyone to have their own space, or spend time together. Thank you for a great week!
