About this apartment rental
Spacious and central, this home near Notre Dame packs a punch in terms of location as well as size. You're right on the banks of the Seine here with some of Paris' most sought after eateries just outside your door. Inside, it's a minimalist dream, with all-white walls, pale wood floors and spotlighting. Striking, industrial style furniture and riveted support columns take pride of place in the open-plan living room, and the modern kitchen is perfectly equipped for families cooking at home. There's a little office space if you're going to be working during your stay, and bedrooms are super comfortable. From here it's just a few steps to Saint-Michel Notre Dame metro station to get around the city, and you can easily walk to the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay.

This is our second family trip to Paris using this property. First time was 6 years ago with the second time just last week. We remembered where items were from the first time and how well planned the apartment was. It is in an excellent location - walk to major museums, shopping, eating establishments, night time entertainment, etc. Will reserve this property again for our next trip - without hesitation!!!

It was the perfect arrangement for our family. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and close to major sites. Thank you.

The social areas of the apartment were very ample and nice. Good taste, and well decorated. AC in each room and in the social areas. Safe and easy to get around. Highly recommended.

Amazing Property. Met all expectations and more!

Lovely spacious apartment in a great location. We celebrated Christmas with our family and it was great. We could walk to most sights. The kitchen and dining area were great for having family celebratory meals together. It was also close to many restaurants and cafes.

We enjoyed our stay immensely! The apartment is located exactly where we wanted to be, close to the 6eme and easy for uber to find us. Only one flight of stairs to the front door made it easy for papa too! only draw back, even though it's situated right on the Seine, overlooking Pont Neuf - the apartment has no view, in fact, almost no windows at all, save for the internal building operations. Wishing this was a little more clear on the description. But, overall, very satisfied.

Great location, big living room and nice air conditioning. There are two disadvantages, a large one and a small one. There are no windows overlooking a street. The small one is horrible squishy pillows.

This apartment is in a great spot! Close to the metro and lots of shops and restaurants. It has plenty of space to spread out, and it was very clean. Advertised air conditioning (which it had), just didn’t work very well. But, I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect, well located, large apartment for the five of us (all adults) staying in 3 bedrooms. Only issue was a neighbour cleaning bins adjacent to the bedroom window at 6am for 30 minutes. Really enjoyed our stay here. Would definitely stay here again. Really happy.

Location was great, everything you need was in the apartment. Spacious and as described.
We were 2 families of 4 and had plenty of room. Aircon in the bedrooms was really appreciated on a hot summer night. Aircon in the main room was not good however the fan provided some relief.
We enjoyed our stay and relished the unexpected room to spread out in this lovely Paris apartment.

Great location apartment that was exactly as described. Our family of 6 had plenty of room and was able to walk to almost all the major tourist spots.

This was a great place for a family/group. The location is fantastic - right by Notre Dame and The Louvre. Wonderful shops and restaurants all around (including multiple Michelin star restaurants). The check in process was a breeze too.
4.8
Apartment is ideal location, walking distance to hundreds of cafes &restaurants, grocery markets, Louvre, St Chapelle , Conciegerie, shopping. We used hop on, hop offs to venture farther out like Champs Elysees. Ubers or taxis for Sacré-Cœur and Moulin Rouge, private guide for Versailles.
Apartment is very clean, spacious and kitchen very well stocked. It was wonderful apartment
As with most European apartments, the building itself is noisy with people coming and going so I suggest you take a noise maker to drown out the noise
Only suggestion I have is that we only had a duvet for bed cover which was too hot for summer. A top sheet would have been nice and I’m sure owner would have provided one but we didn’t notify him so that is our fault
I highly recommend this apartment and don’t think we could have found a better one

Excellent location, wonderful place

Overall the property was great. The location was really nice for all the sites we wanted to see. It was clean and stocked well enough for everything we needed.
Our only complaint was that sometimes the AC units would make it smell like cigarette smoke - possibly it was just pulling in air from outside where someone was smoking.
4.8
Lovley apartment in a great area. Nice and clean. Did smell.as though someone had been smoking prior to our arrival. Plenty of toiletries towels and bedding. We did want to use the sofa bed as we are 5 ladies that do need our personal space. We did use the sofa bed but when asked about the bedding was told there enough beds and we wouldnt need the sofa bed. Easy checking and out. Comfy beds Perfect communication with the owner and they let us leave our luggage in the apartment until 5pm. The only let down was the fridge wasn't clean and had some mouldy fruit in it.
4.8
Right in front of the Seine, 10 minutes walking from Notre Dame. Large apt, just like the pics. Would stay there again.

The neighborhood was my favorite of all of Paris!!! Perfect for families.

Perfect location for Paris weekend.
The apartment is in a perfect location for all things Paris. We had an easy time coming & going and doing all the things we wanted to do. The unit is very clean and is as described. The cleaners were there to greet us upon our arrival and were very friendly and helpful. The apartment is as described and just what we needed for our family of 4.

Great location for tourists!
My three teens and I loved this property. There was plenty of room to spread out to sleep and relax after very busy days of walking and touring. The apartment is one block from a market for groceries, near many fantastic brasseries and cafes and walkable to the Louvre. Other tourist locations - Musee Orsay, Eiffel Tower, etc., are about a 30 min walk. It's easy to catch a taxi from this location. We would stay there again. I would say the place is great, comfortable an appointed, but like other posters mentioned, if you want a place with a view, this isn't it. The owner was great with communication.

Super spot, clean, easy, JUST RIGHT!!!
This is the second time I've booked an apt in Latin Quarter or Saint Germaine des Pres. This place was so much nicer than the last.
(Our family = Married couple, plus 4 teens. Californians who can go high or low -- we love a W hotel or a funky country cabin. Good travel experience. Not the Four Seasons type.)
General: Apt has clean/basic decor, remodeled recently, seems more of a rental than family home. Roomy common areas with big DR table and kitchen, well equipped kitchen with just enough coffee and toilet paper to get you over a few days. A few adapters on table, two sets of keys. washer (combo unit but drying takes a while). Thankfully it has AC - a must in the summer in Paris.
3 bedrooms: one en-suite master, and two additional rooms that each had two twin beds. Not huge but roomy by Paris standards. Plenty of space in armoires and drawers. Comfortable beds.
Bathroom: The other bathroom is split between a shower room (bigger, which my girls loved for doing make up and getting dressed) plus a separate toilet closet with sink across the hall. This makes it easy for a group to rotate into shower, etc. These two rooms are both situated off the DR -- meaning they are for general use and not meant as en-suites. Plenty of hot water and updated fixtures.
Location: Out the front door, you're on the Seine, and you can walk a coupla blocks to several of the romantic bridges. Go right to Notre Dame, left to Louvre, or walk deeper in Latin Q just three blocks to the heart of St GdP. Bldg is on a main street, so it's easy to get car/taxi. Metros within a few blocks any direction.
Secure: bldg with two locking doors prior to reaching the locked apt door. Small functional elevator if your luggage is heavy.
Comms: Great communication with manager/owner -- clear info and friendly remote check in.
Overall: Great!
Not a traditional French film apt with balcony or rooftop. (But FYI -- I had one of those quintessential French apts the last time I booked and the bathroom was the size of an airplane toilet, and I never opened balcony because Paris was 100 degrees and I walked up 3 flights of stairs. Never again.)
Not Versailles either. Typical apts in Paris are not American Penthouses. They are smart, efficient and simple.
Just right: Perfect for our family vacation and I'd book again in a heartbeat.
Until next time, au revoir Paris!

We have been renting apartments in Paris once or twice a year for 20 years. I study the floor plans especially so that I can figure out bathroom & bedroom placement & space allocation. I was sent a different floor plan for this apartment (bait & switch) probably another apartment this owner has which faces the Seine with big windows. I spent over a month poring over apartments, floor plans & locations & chose The Latin. Upon checking in I was horrified-my friends whom I brought had never been to Paris and were so excited for windows open, viewing Paris sites and sipping champagne. I felt like I had rented my freshman dorm room with a bit more space. It was clean-I will give them that and the Quais des Grands Augustins is a great location. There are 8 “windows” pictured in the VRBO listing and 7 of them may as well have been painted on the walls. They even had ridiculous shades on them, which I assume is to coerce people thinking of renting it that they can throw open these windows to get fresh air. NOT! The one window which actually was a window opened to nothing but a square area where some pipes were. One bedroom had an ensuite bathroom and the other bathroom was all the way across the living room (again, I would never have even considered that location for another couple.) The sad part too is this apartment was actually 1000 euros more than my last apartment on rue de Lille but had half the space and 1 fewer bathrooms. The 2 beds in the bedrooms were nearly on the floor making them difficult to get in & out. The sheets and towels were very low quality as were the furnishings. We tried to get out of it & find another apartment with windows and had no help from VRBO or the owner. I just hope anyone else looking to rent does not fall for this one. I spent 10 nights there and it was my 26th trip to Paris and never could I have a stronger recommendation-you can do so much better in the 6th or 7th arrondissements. Breathe in French air and do NOT rent the Latin.

Great location and place for a 1 week stay
Great location, you can really walk to everything. The building entrance may be a bit shocking at the beginning but the apartment is as listed/displayed in the listing. Renovated, in very good condition, professionally cleaned, with good amenities and the hosts were kind enough to leave some basic stuff behind (toilet paper, soap, dish washing soap, paper towel, etc). I returned the favor by replacing the items I used. Kitchen is extremely well appointed for those travelling with families. Despite the amazing location, for those looking for a place with a view, this is not the place for you, the windows look to internal non usable courtyards, but who wants to stay inside a flat in Paris anyway!!

Great location and nice condo
Great location near Notre Dame. Easy walk to many great neighborhoods in Paris. Plenty of room for family.

Great Location, has everything
This location is perfect. We couldn’t be any closer to the Seine. The apartment had everything you would need. I would say the only thing we had concerns with is the check in process and finding which apartment it was but we did figure it out and we were easily able to talk with Nicolas and he was very helpful.

Family trip to Paris
Fabulous location with easy access to museums, restaurants and shops. A/C and lift were great to have and property manager, Nicholas, was very helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend this apartment for a group.

Superb
Outstanding apartment located next to the river. Walking distance to the Louvre, D'Orsay, Museum l'Orangerie, Tuileries, St Michel, Notre Dame, St Germain, etc. Well stocked kitchen, including a blender, and extra amenities like office space, a washing machine and Netflix. Modern, clean, lift, completely excellent. The five of us all found the accommodations comfortable and spacious.

Very spacious
Plenty of space. Very well equipped with a helpful host touches like washing detergent and soap in the bathrooms are helpful, so to are standard staple ingredients in the kitchen. Perfect area to be around for eating etc. A little noise from above, but not till the morning.

great place - great location
We were 6 adults traveling to Paris. This place was perfect for us. Updated and clean, supplied with everything you would need.
The Seine River is across the street and is in between Notre Dame and the Louvre, both
walking distance. Very close to many cafes and shops. Give this 5 stars!

Wonderful location // Comfortable apartment
First, it needs to be noted that Gerard and Nicholas are great! We met Gerard when we arrived and he worked very hard to make sure our stay went well. We only spoke with Nicholas via telephone but he was very friendly and courteous. Carole, the owner, was always very prompt answering questions and handling our concerns before we even arrived. Second, location, location, location! We were able to walk to many great museums (D'Orsay, Louvre, L'Orangerie), Notre Dame (which you actually could see right as you step out the front door), many restaurants (within 3-8 minute walk), shopping (Forum Les Halles and many local shops), grocery stores (7-10 minute walk, depending on which one you wanted to shop at), sidewalk cafes (literally right outside the front door), public spaces (St. Michel square), etc. Third, the apartment was well stocked and equipped to handle 5 adults and 3 teenagers for a full week. Plenty of hot water for showers! It was also very quite - no street, neighborhood, or sidewalk noise at all. Felt very secure and safe at all times. One last thing - this apartment had 4 room sized air conditioners. Being in Paris this July required air conditioning - it was a huge "must have"!. We were very happy!
