OMG! I loved this place! Connected me to my Bajan roots! The home was comfortable for all. You can walk to the beach or stay by the pool. Thunder Bay Beach and Carlton Bar and Grill around the corner. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend my birthday! Thank you John! Say hello to Simone for me!

John was very helpful and Simone was lovely. We had a lovely trip. The pool could have been cleaned mid holiday and some of the Villa requires an update, however plenty of positives (location, air con, size of house / rooms, view from the balcony) and great watching the monkeys eating their mangoes.

We had a lovely 2-week stay at the villa. It was nice to stay in a residential area as we have mainly stayed in resorts previously. The villa was perfect for us. Plenty of space for a family consisting of 5 adults and a teenager. Outdoor space was good. Beach close by. Would stay again. Barbados is our favourite holiday destination. John was really helpful, did some shopping for us before we arrived and responded to any questions quickly.

The property is in a local neighborhood and just down the road from a really nice beach that we spent a lot of time on. There was also a nice local takeout place a few doors down it was terrific, having the swimming pool as well. given the cost of flatscreen TVs. I would just suggest they upgrade the size of their television in the living room. beyond that the place is clean the bathrooms new, and overall we really enjoyed our stay.

This is a very nice property within a short distance by car of the heart of Holetown. It is located in a typical Barbadian residential area. The area is safe. Despite the neighbourhood it is pretty quiet and very private due to the lush nature surrounding it. The terraces and pool are very large and convenient. The property is located within walking distance from a beach, not the best but ideal to watch the sunset. I highly recommend it.

We had a good time for the 2 weeks we spent there. The villa was nice and very spacious. No bad or small bedrooms. The beach a couple of minutes walk away was lovely. Not too many people on it. The property manager was helpful when we called him. No issues with anything.

Our stay was great, the villa was very clean, the neighbors were friendly and helpful with directions….John answer my questions and calls when I reach out to him. The housekeeper was very pleasant., there was plenty of clean towels and linens…the villa was spacious enough for our group of 7adults….OOH the pool was very inviting. The villa has everything that you would need….We will be back

We had a wonderful stay! The house is amazing and located in a calm and friendly neighborhood. There is a beach located down the block from the house which was a plus. The house was equipped with everything one might need, the rooms have air conditioning, the bathrooms are spacious and very well maintained. The backyard is lovely, nice pool and even a barbecue is available. Limegrove Center is a neighborhood mall, fairly close, about a 10 minute drive. The center is beautiful and has stores, restaurants and bars to enjoy. There is a Massy supermarket within a 10 minute drive as well, which was very helpful anytime we needed to stock up on food. The property manager is very kind and easy to communicate with. We will definitely enjoy staying here again and totally recommend to anyone looking for a family home.

Great stay! House was perfect size for 5 adults and 2 kids. The house is located in a residential neighborhood with the wonderful sounds of roosters and whistling frogs. The pool is perfect! Big enough for the kids to have fun while also allowing the adults to relax. 5 min walk to the beach.
I would recommend some new waterproof patio cushions as the current ones are showing their age. John the property manager was great!

I would highly recommend. Very clean. The host was very accommodating and his staff was super welcoming. I suggest bringing your own wash rags because there are not any. However everything else is provided. This is now my forever home when visiting beautiful Barbados. The owner/his staff can point you in the direction for anything you need (grocery, taxi, babysitter, etc)

Spacious home for five adults - could have handled eight people easily. Loved the pool! Nice location in a neighborhood - animal noise was fine with us, but might bother some. We enjoyed a visit one morning by a troop of monkeys. AC in one room failed, could not be fixed. Need black out shades or some other way to deal with incredibly bright security lights. Knives were dull, cookware low quality, not enough. Had a bit of trouble getting smoke detectors repaired, took repeated calls over 3 days including intervention of owner. Owner was great - very responsive. Good value, would return. Recommend fresh fish market - Millie Ifill - great fish!

Each spacious bedroom having a shower room is perfect. The beds were comfy. The washing machine and dryer were very useful. There were enough towels and bedding for all of us. There was enough equipment in the kitchen for us to get by. It was easy to keep clean bring tiled throughout. The covered terrace was a perfect place for us to eat even when it rained. The safety gate to the pool area from the house worked well. We loved the visits of the local green monkeys. The manager, John, was very helpful.

The unit appears to have been new or at least refreshed in the last few years. Quality materials and workmanship are evident throughout. Having two identical bedrooms with ensuite and queen beds (again, quality furniture), and a third room with a queen bed, makes this ideal for couples. A large kitchen with newer appliances, where everything worked, was pleasant.
The high level of privacy afforded by the trees and fencing in the back yard was ideal for our party, and the pool well kept.
We did have some communications challenges with the property manager. Reaching out a day or two before, as opposed to 'day of', would have improved our experience somewhat, but still a very first world problem.
All in all we would recommend this property, and would rent it again ourselves.

This villa did not disappoint. I would stay again, in a heartbeat. It was so close to Thunder Bay and a short drive to Holetown. The villa was just as it was described. We loved every minute of our stay.

This is a great property located on the west coast the the island. Not too far from the airport and surrounded by great food and shops. Reeds bay beach is walking distance and was a great family beach with lots of space. The house itself is very well equipped and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and have great A/C when you need a respite from the sun and humidity. The pool was our favorite part as it's well suited for smaller children and the ability to have it closed off with a gate have us that very needed piece of mind. The host and property manager and housekeeper were all phenomenal. I would highly recommend this property to all looking for a more authentic and laid back time in Barbados.

Baird's View Villa is located in a local community where the people are friendly. The villa was very spacious for our group of 7 with plenty room for everyone. The bedrooms are air condition with added fans and good sizes, the beds are so comfortable. There are plenty of bed sheets , house and beach towels.
The kitchen is spacious with all the amenities,plenty of cutlery,glasses and plates. Only the fridge wasn't a ice making one,but that wasn't a problem because we made ice in the containers. Could do with a few more cooking pots.
The outside is spacious, the upstairs balcony has a nice view of the sea. Now the pool was to die for ,to me the water was always warm.
At the bottom of Baird's Road there is John Moore's Bar to the left and Thunder Bay Beach to the right. Also turning right it will take you to Speightstown where you will find surpermakets, shops and places to eat. Also turning left it will take you to Limegrove shopping centre, Massey supermarket and then on to Bridgetown to capital of Barbados. If you don't have a car there are plenty of buses to take where you want to go.
Simone the house keeper and John the property manger were nice, helpful and polite. Simone comes in once a week and John is only a phone or message away if anything goes wrong. We didn't have gas for the bbq and John was there with a full bottle. We didn't have any problems as everything was perfect, and there is even a security system.
I would recommend this villa if you have a large or small party of people.
PS. There was a black chicken that always comes on the patio and have a poop so be careful where you step in the mornings. I will miss that chicken .

If you stay here, definitely rent a vehicle, because you will need one to get anywhere except for the local beach & convenience store!! The villa is situated in the middle of locals of lower income, but everyone seemed friendly! Each room has their own safe and door locks!! We had zero issues!!
A security system is in place which is a bonus! There were many chickens, roosters and goats roaming around making their voice heard which we didn’t mind at all!! Also some dogs barking in the neighborhood which didn’t bother us either!! Overall a great stay at Bairds View Villa!!! PS Go see Simone and her daughter Fay to get pampered with Island cocktails and home cooked Bajan food down at Reeds Bay beach!! On our last evening we ordered from Simone to bring back to the Villa for takeout!!! Wonderful!!!!

We had the most amazing 17 nights at Bairds view. The beach is at the bottom of the road (thunder bay) with 2 beach bars. Everything from beginning to end was fantastic. Hope to return soon .

Safe, Spacious, and Comfortable
The villa served as a well-situated and very comfortable base for our family holiday. The beach at Reeds Bay is a short walk from the home and we rented a car for the duration of our stay so we could explore many of the beaches, towns, and sights around the island (recommended). We had a terrific vacation together.

Fantastic property in a great location
This was our second time staying at Baird's and it won't be our last !
It is a lovely spacious house with all of the amenities that anyone will need.
4 spacious bedrooms with AC and en-suite. Nice living area with great outdoor dining and chilling area. Amazing pool.
Located a 5 minute walk from Reeds bay where there is a beautiful beach, great swimming, amazing sunsets and a lovely little beach bar (Google - "Thunder Bay beach bar").
(Note - if you want to be in the south coast tourist areas of Ositins, St. Lawrence Gap etc. then this is not the property for you as it is about a 30 - 40 minute drive away)
Communication with the owner and John (the property manager) was quick and always helpful.
All in all an amazing house in a great location - thoroughly recommend and we'll be back again

Perfect location for a relaxing family holiday
We booked Baird’s view villa because it accommodates 9 people and was an approved quarantine villa on the west coast. Luckily we did not need to quarantine when we arrived but it would have been ok as the pool and terrace is large enough.
There are no restaurants in walking distance. If you have a car or get in a taxi you can find several of them. The Sea Shed is few miles up north or The Tides down south. Both are highly recommended.
Bedrooms seem bigger on the photos but they are still comfortable for two people. With the extra folding beds in the family room was a bit crowded but it was still ok.
We read that the neighbours can be noisy but we did not find them loud at all. In our opinion the neighbourhood is very quiet and the people were friendly. Cockerels are noisy though but they did not bother us at all. Occasionally they turn up in the garden.
Next door neighbour sells beer that was handy on one occasion as a car is necessary to go to a shop. We were relying on pre-booked taxi due to the size of our family and a trip can be pricey if you want to go to the nearest Massy shop. They do deliver but you need to pre-book it usually in 2-3 days in advance which requires a lot of planning.
The villa is equipped with everything that you usually need such as large american oven and hob, microwave, again american size washing machine and dryer which was fantastic as we washed our towels every day when we went to the beach.
The beach is in walking distance and there are sun loungers for $10bbd and food available as well. The reef is fantastic therefore bring your snorkelling goggles with you.
If you don’t want your jerk chicken extremely spicy then you need to tell Simone, otherwise it will be very hot.

As frequent Barbados travelers we’ve hopped around from home to home each year. This year we’ve found the home we want to continue to stay at for all our future visits. The location to the beach was perfect. The home itself is beautiful especially the outdoor space. It’s truly private for those looking to enjoy some relaxing in a private location. The property manager John was extremely helpful with any questions or advice we needed. The pandemic did make things a bit harder with quarantining but the house was perfect to help make the time go by easier. Truly a beautiful property!
