Booked a two-night stay for after a planned week-long stay in Cancun. However, we decided the Cancun all-inclusive was not for us and booked seven days at a different VRBO the week prior. This was our first visit to Isla Mujeres, and we determined that we wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Centro and Playa Norte. We were happy to find this studio on the Caribbean side where my wife could walk down to the water's edge and search for sea glass (where she found a lot). We would love to give Casa Rosa five stars, but the problem is we stayed a true five star place in the days before. This studio certainly met our expectations, it was well stocked, and it was a great value for what we were looking for. But the interior and furnishings were outdated, and the attractiveness of the outdoor area was a little lacking (although the view of the Caribbean was outstanding). Communication was great and we would definitely stay there again. Although it was mid-island, it was still convenient to the Centro/Playa Norte area by golf cart. Thanks for allowing us to stay at Casa Rosa!

Our stay was amazing, the best part was the view! Waking up every morning to the sound of waves and sunrise was wonderful perfect for a relaxing vacation. The owners are very pro active as well as the property manager and is just a txt or call away. We didn’t need anything on our stay as everything ran smoothly. Would definitely stay here again.

This property is exactly what it's advertised to be, with extras. The ocean luls you to sleep at night and wake you in the morning. You can see and hear birds fly over the ocean. The location is perfect. Far away enough from the city, but not too far to get to whatever you want. Michael and Rose respond right away to any questions. The place is cleaned mid week which is just perfect. Go see Debbie at Rosa Sarinas for dinner. Tell her David and Merritt from Georgia sent you and get ready for the best meal on the Island. Enjoy.

I'm not sure if any amount of words can do justice to how truly amazing this experience was. Starting with our preparations for our trip - I reached out to owner (Michael) to inquire about expected pricing and timing from Cancun airport to the ferry to the property. Michael called me to discuss after I sent him my questions and we spoke a couple times. He went way above and beyond, calling to double check with the ferry and give us plenty of referrals for transport options. (We ended up cutting it close but just barely making it, but were prepared to stay in Cancun overnight if necessary). In addition to that, he helped me to understand the Covid testing protocol (you must have a negative test to return to the US) and connected me with a doctor on the island who could facilitate the rapid test. This friendly intro was just the beginning. We arrived at the truly remarkable Casa Rosa and really, words can not do justice to how perfect it is in terms of vibe, accessibility, and quality. We stayed in the studio which meant that looking out from our very comfy bed with ample pillows, you could see the ocean in all of its aquamarine glory. The studio came fully equipped with plenty of towels and linens and a nice kitchenette that was perfect for our little morning coffee and breakfast. If you aren't feeling up to cooking, it is also right next to Casa Ixchel which has a nice restaurant if you aren't up for going far and daily yoga classes. The pools at Casa Rosa (both the main floor and the penthouse) provide a nice calm place to swim, while the private beach access offers plenty of beach combing for coral and the constant comforting sound of waves. We thought the location was perfect, far enough out of the center of town to provide some peaceful respite, but only a 20 minute walk or a 50 peso taxi ride to anywhere in centro that you want to go. Michael and his staff were so amazing and accommodating. Since no one was in the penthouse we were able to use the deck and pool up there. Our flights ended up getting delayed (due to unprecedented winter weather in Texas) and Michael was able to let us stay a few extra days, so we didn't have to change hotels. We came down for our babymoon (I'm 7 months pregnant) and to honor the memory of my father who passed away a month ago, and we found true paradise. Thank you so much to Michael and Rose for making our vacation so very special. We will be back and will sing your praises from the rooftops!!

This property is magnificent! The studio was very well appointed with a spectacular view. The owners and property manager were great and very helpful when needed. Cannot wait to visit again!

Super laid Back, clean studio, with the most amazing view, just steps to the beach. Watched the sunrise with my coffe every morning.. property management and owner checked in and were very cordial. Everything was in working condition and organized. What a fabulous trip. I will return!

Very clean, well maintained, nice location, beautiful view.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The views are incredible. There is a small beach here perfect for ocean viewing. (Swimming is not recommended on this side) We stayed in the Penthouse. The private deck and pool are such a treat and we loved having it to ourselves. The property itself faces the Caribbean, perfect for sunrise viewing. We had no issues at all. The location is perfect for getting anywhere on the island. There is parking for your golf cart or you can easily catch a cab right outside. It is away from the downtown hustle, an easy walk to Mango's Cafe or the Chedraui if you like to walk. The area is very safe. The apartment has everything you need for your stay. Housekeeping came in once during our stay to freshen up. Michael was very responsive to our questions and the other person staying there is a long time returnee to this propety. We cannot wait to go back ourselves!

Beautiful property with all the comforts of home

The studio at Casa Rosa is one of those nicely kept places with an “everything you need, nothing you don’t” kind of vibe. Clean, simple and right on the water. The posted photos are accurate – It’s on the 2nd floor and has one big room with a small kitchen area and separate bathroom with shower. There’s a narrow deck out the sliding glass door that faces the ocean with a couple of cushioned lounge chairs. It's a sweet view and this side has great light in the mornings. If you leave the sliding glass door open in the evening you are serenaded to sleep by crashing waves. The wider part of the studio deck gets sun most of the day and is also next to the studio door (and penthouse door.) We were there for 5 days and only saw the other guests a handful of times. We did get invited up to the penthouse deck (Thanks, Dave!) to see the impressive view and great rooftop pool. If you haven’t been to Isla before, it may be tough to tell on the location, but for some context you can pretty much get anywhere on the island from Casa Rosa for a $3 cab ride. (Or you can walk to Playa Norte/Central downtown in 20 mn if you want the exercise. About the same if you want to walk to Soggy Peso.) If you head south, it’s only a couple of blocks to convenience stores, Isla Brewing Co. and a little farther to grocery stores. You have options on the enjoying the beach: The Casa Rosa side of the island is rocky but scenic (bring water shoes if you want to get in). But there are a number of small sandy areas that worked nicely for a beach blanket and towels as you work your way to the north. Even in February we were usually the only people except for a few beachcombers wandering by. (So, secluded enough if you want to get rid of your tan lines.) By comparison the beach at Playa Norte is quite busy if you’re looking for a long sandy stretch of beach with more energy, restaurants and bars. The VRBO transaction went smoothly thanks to Michael who was always quick to email back with answers. Definitely recommended, looking forward to a return trip!

Great location great view very clean. In all our travels we have never spent so much time at a property as we did at Casa Rosa. We truly enjoyed our stay in the Penthouse. Rose and Micheal have thought of everything. Thanks again Jane & David

Perfect location, view, amenities and cleanliness!

Enjoyed our week in the studio. Wonderful location. Short walk to grocery stores and local taco shops. The studio had everything you could want to to eat in.

My wife and I stayed at Casa Rosa (Studio) this year from April 30-May 6. We have been to Cancun a number of times and been to Isla for a day trip in the past and we wanted to have the Isla experience while being able to enjoy all that the island has to offer without the All Inclusive price tag. Our main goals in finding a place were location (on the Caribbean side) as we love the sounds of the ocean along with the breeze and convenience to both Playa Norte and other spots along the island. Casa Rosa did not disappoint in either regard. We spent one day at a beach club and wished we hadn't as we missed the breeze from the Sea. We also did not even rent a golf cart for the week like many people do, we hailed cabs or walked. We were able to walk to Chedraui (grocery store) Mangos (10 min south), Caribbean Brisas, Villa la Bella (15 min south), and if we wanted to ride in a cab, we would have to wait less than five minutes and each cab ride was a max of 60 pesos including a tip. The studio at Casa Rosa was great, fresh water and ice in the kitchen, great WiFi access, and the pool/view were unbeatable. The beach is rocky, so take water shoes if heading in to the surf. The beach was fun to walk and explore, sea glass everywhere and fantastic views. Mike was great to work with and made the entire process very simple as we had never done VRBO before. When we plan our next trip, Casa Rosa will be on the short list. Thanks again Mike!

Wonderful 8 days in the upstairs studio with my daughter. Great location and great property. Clean with full kitchen. Great porch overlooking the ocean with great sunrises and the pool below when needed. To be honest we spent a lot of time sitting in bed reading with the doors open and the ocean breeze blowing through. Great guacamole and margaritas next door. Mango cafe a little walk or short drive. Can walk to edge of town in about 20 minutes. Property manager Vicki was great with respect to reservation and a quick turn around to replace a split and leaking water bottle. Downstairs guests were quiet which we personally appreciated. If a family with younger kids or partiers would have been less enjoyable for us. I plan to come stay here again! Thank you for having this wonderful place to come and just relax and let the world go by.

Casa Rosa welcomes you with beautiful views of the ocean and comfortable accommodations. If you are a couple, the studio apartment will offer everything you will need to prepare a small meal, relax around the pool or spend time on your balcony. It is located near good restaurants and a large supermarket. The apartment is well-equipped and well-maintained. We were very pleased that Mike and Rose, the owners of Casa Rosa, were in the downstairs, two-bedroom apartment, during our stay. They were wonderful, warm and gracious hosts. We hope to remain in touch with them.

My husband and I enjoyed a 4 night stay in the upstairs studio apartment of Casa Rosa. The studio was small and cozy but well appointed and had everything you could ever need. We loved sitting on the back side of the balcony in the mornings and watching the sunrise and then sitting on the front side at night and watching the Isla life go by while enjoying a few cocktails. It has a nice size pool that backs up to the ocean, just gorgeous. The pool itself was pretty chilly while we were there but it was still nice to be able to sit with your feet in and just enjoy the ocean breeze. The location of this place is really great. Just far enough way from the hustle and bustle of centro. It was only an average of 30 to 40 pesos for cab rides downtown and to Playa Norte. We hope to visit this property again next year. If we do we will definitely rent a golf cart and do some more exploring on the island.
