About this cottage rental

Welcome to your clean, cozy, comfortable home away from home. This very special place was renovated and designed with details in mind. As you enter the abode, the lightness and attention to detail is obvious. The furnishings are all brand new and designed to be enjoyed.
The kitchen is well equipped and also has upgrade stainless appliances and beautiful quartz counter tops. There is a desk area with USB outlets right off the kitchen. The bedrooms are outfitted with brand new memory foam mattresses. Beside each bed is a USB outlet for cell phone charging.
There is a fabulous outdoor shower right off the side kitchen door. It does have hot and cold water. Also on the side is a gas grill and outdoor eating area. The beach is just a short stroll down a shady side street. Very easy walk even with children. There are 5 restaurants within easy walking distance.

We stayed here to attend our week-long family reunion close by. This is the second time we have stayed here. It is very convenient to the beach as well as several restaurants which are a 2 minute walk away. The unit is very comfortable. We had one minor glitch which the owners addressed promptly. We would easily stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at Tidewater (both sides) for 5 weeks to escape Canadian winter. What a gem of a property! It is comfortable, functional, quiet, well-located and beautifully decorated. Melanie and Ed are wonderful hosts; incredibly responsive and available at a moment's notice to deal with any questions or concerns. A few things really stood out for us. The space is perfect for a long stay with modern appliances, lots of pots/pans, dishes, glassware, etc., great storage, modern bathrooms, a wonderful open and bright living/eating area and incredibly comfortable beds. Despite being on a major street, it's very quiet, day and night. And the location is fabulous! It's an easy walk to Pier Village (20 minutes), there are lots of amenities (shops, a resort, restaurants, yoga studio, etc) a stone's throw from the property and the beach is less than a 5 minute walk away. We absolutely loved our stay and plan to return.

Wonderful location, walking distance to the best the island has to offer. Very clean, well furnished and decorated. Truly felt like we were staying in a beach house. The owner was exceptionally receptive to questions (best food, things to do, etc.) and response to our every need. Great place to stay for those looking to experience the island by just walking out the front door!

Stayed here for a long weekend. So clean upon our arrival, great location (5 min stroll to beach is accurate, restaurants/shopping close by, check-in/check-out was a breeze). We plan to come back next summer (if not before) to this rental. Thanks Melanie for providing this little gem for others to enjoy.

Perfect place to stay on Ocean Blvd! Have rented multiple places on the island and this bar far is the best! So cute on the inside and outside. The property was very clean, a great layout for 4 adults and had all the amenities needed. For a duplex on a busy road it was very quiet and cozy. Location was great for walking to restaurants and beach access. Will definitely be returning to this rental!

Loved this place! So cute on the outside and very nice on the inside. The shower outside was perfect for a rinse after the beach and to keep the beach toys clean and out of the way. Bike rentals, food, and (most importantly) the beach all within a couple blocks.

Loved the decorating, cozy accommodations, and vicinity to the beach. Plenty of ice! Loved being able to get everything on the tv. Beds were perfect for us. Showers with great pressure. And especially liked how clean it was. A/c worked great. A few possible improvements: Toaster was broken Small shower leaks on floor a bit as door doesn’t fully close I love outdoor showers- but this one could use a good scrub down Wish there was a starter travel size shampoo/conditioner in shower. I forgot to bring mine and it would have been handy. We hope to be fortunate enough to stay here again.

I have rented many properties through VRBO and vacation rental companies and this was by far the cleanest and neatest one ever. The furniture and decor were perfect , the location is awesome with a short walk to the beach or restaurants and shops but it still has a neighborhood feel. It was peaceful and quiet . It was our first time visiting St Simons, but certainly won’t be our last! It was such a fun experience in a beautiful area!

This cottage has a great layout! You couldn’t ask for a better location. The owner was very helpful and has a great personality! It is not considered a ADA home but I am disabled and was able to get around the cottage easily.

I'm so thankful I found Tidewater Two! We stayed a week and loved every minute of it. The house is decorated very nicely with a great beachy feel. Melanie was a terrific host. When I contacted her with a question she responded promptly. The house is in walking distance of several restaurants including The Crab Trap, Echo at The King and Prince, and my new favorite Fiddler's. The beach is a short walk away as well. I've saved this property to my favorites as I plan to visit again. Thank you Melanie!

Location, location,... construction?!

My husband and I renewed our vows on our anniversary. We chose this property for it's proximity to the beach since that was our location for the renewal. And this was not a disappointment at all! It was a fantastic location; it's a short walk to the beach, various restaurants (FYI, you have to try Del Sur & ask for Kyle as your waiter, you'll thank me later!) and even liquor stores for last minute mimosa cravings that you may have! The only downside was the construction on the property being renovated right next door which does not bode well if you're trying to sleep in. I'm generally a deep sleeper so a couple mornings of being woken by the noise caused the need for the previously mentioned mimosas. Otherwise it was a lovely place to stay.

Located steps from beach access and Crabdaddy’s (our favorite) we can’t recommend this updated property more strongly. Perfect for two adults and two children, the house is well equipped. Cable televisions, WiFi, washer/dryer, new appliances and even a beach tent and chairs are available for use. Everything is ONE level, from parking to living quarters. We will be back!

Great location on SSI. Easy walk to the beach or great restaurants. The house itself was clean, cute, and relaxing. The kitchen included many things to help cook or grill at home vs eating out every meal.
