Our family of four had the most lovely stay at this beautiful casita! The pool is a little slice of heaven… the pictures don’t do it justice! The casita is well appointed and the location is wonderful. We are looking forward to staying here again! Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful place to while away an afternoon by the pool. Lush garden dining areas, birds and views of the hills outside. Great communication with our host, cool Armenian market a few blocks away. We made breakfast and relaxed outside in the morning, then were able to zip into LA and then back to chill in the evening. 10 minutes to the Huntington and old town Pasadena. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed for just over one week and got some much needed relaxation. Tricia and Leila were amazing to work with and we enjoyed our random chats with them. The casita is tucked away and very private. It has everything you could ever need. The surrounding area is gorgeous and easy to navigate. Our daily visits from the flock of wild parrots was the icing on the cake. We can’t forget their adorable dog, Hazel Grace. Seeing her made us miss ours less!

This was a great place for my husband, dog, and I to stay while we had workman in our house. The host was very accommodating to our needs and it had everything we needed for our 10 day stay. It is in a beautiful neighborhood which is lovely to walk in.

We spent Christmas-New Year's week. It was such a relaxing retreat to return to during the evening after a full day of activity with family. Be sure to make time for a walk in the neighborhood or an easy hike in Eaten Canyon. We paid to have the pool and hot tub heated. It was worth every penny. We recommend it.

Couldn’t think of a better place to stay. Lovely and private and felt very lush. I literally road tripped from Michigan to LA and back again and this place was the oasis I truly needed. Restful as can be. Wonderful and helpful host, dog friendly property, easy parking, nearby Starbucks, and very safe area. And the pool is HUGE. Pics don’t do the place justice. Felt lucky to have stayed there and would return in a heartbeat. Thanks so much for having us

The casita is like a tropical retreat behind the owner’s home. The pool is large and surrounded by trees and exotic plants. We particularly liked being able to dine poolside and read on the outdoor couch, which is shaded by the roof in a recessed nook. The little house has an open floorplan and is well-stocked with all sorts of cooking and serving dishes, equipment, and appliances. There are plenty of towels and a very comfortable bed. There was a heatwave when we were there, but the air conditioning kept the casita pleasant and cool. Our first day was a little rocky, but the owner called her maintenance manager, Sal, who took care of an initial insect problem. Sal was very friendly and also offered to clean any of the tables and chairs that dot the property if we wanted to use them, as they were quite dusty and leaf-covered. Leaves and other small debris seemed to be dropping from the trees all the time. (Our car, parked in the street, got covered quickly.) Sal checked in with us several times to make sure everything was fine. Heads-up for other guests: The area can have mosquitoes, so you may need repellant. The BBQ is a charcoal grill – not gas. It seemed like it had not been used in a long time and needed cleaning and maybe renovation, so we didn’t use it. On the whole, we were very comfortable, recommend the property, and hope to return one day. (For reference: We have been staying in VRBO rentals since 2001.)

Husband and I spent 4 nights at this cozy hideaway. We live local, but were seeking a property where we could just rest and relax, and that is just what we did. This property has everything you need. The hosts were very welcoming throughout our stay. Property has a hot tub and pool that were totally accessible just for us. We will definitely stay again when we need some time away. Thank you Tricia, Leina and Travis for everything!

You aren't going to find anything more charming. The lovely casita, with its own large pool, is comfortably nestled in the rear of the property. So lots of privacy and quietude. And Tricia could not have been a more accommodating hostess. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit.

We just completed our second stay at the casita and enjoyed it very much! The lush, green surroundings, quiet location and pool and hot tub give the property a resort feel. It's a great place to host local family members as well. Thanks, Tricia!

Trisha’s place was fantastic. Her garden even in January was lovely to enjoy all the outdoor living spaces. The casita had everything I needed for the weekend and many touches of luxury. I will definitely look to stay again when visiting my daughter

We had a lovely time at the casita. Altadena was much colder than usual which put a strain on the heating system so we enjoyed the hottub. Good walking trails abound, in the mountains and in the neighborhoods.

My husband and I stayed in this sweet casita for a week while working in LA. What a great place to come home to! Cozy and funky (in all the best ways) Private and safe, tucked away behind the large main house. We were extremely well taken care of by the owners, easy communication and right there if we needed anything, but super respectful of our privacy. The casita is very well stocked. You can tell the owners love this place and have thought about what guests would actually want and need! We especially loved soaking in the hot tub after a long day! Street parking was super easy and the neighborhood is gorgeous, safe and serene. Lots of great local cafes, restaurants and shops nearby as well as a beautiful canyon to hike. Cant wait to come back, hopefully with more time to explore the area! Will definitely stay here again!

Casita behind a 1920's mansion. Great location and very quiet. Kitchen with everything one needs to make a meal.. Decor is boho casita ;funky and fun. Problem with pool but owner seemed to be trying to get it fixed and we had great swims in a really grand pool. There is a lot of outdoor furniture maybe a bit cluttered for someone who is bothered by a melange of decor styles. If one is handicapped ,the path through owners backyard would be difficult but ok for me with wonky knee.

Nice retreat
A very enjoyable stay. The location is great and the property has a nice bohemian charm. Everything inside the cabana is pleasant, and the large pool and hot tub are very nice. The outside furniture could use some regular cleaning. The owner, Patricia, was very helpful and friendly.

We felt lucky to find this place during a 5 day conference trip. Amazing yard of diverse plants: owner lives in main house on-site, but you really feel like the cottage and pool area are in their own bubble. Great views of the mountains from the pool. Cottage is timeless, exposed beams and solid feel. All of the required basics for self-sufficiency as well. Tricia is awesome! If we're in the Pasadena area again, this will be our first choice.

We were in town for a music festival and this was the perfect place for downtime. The property is so relaxing and lovely, my friends and I found it the perfect place to unwind for a few days. We found several great restaurants nearby - Patticakes (within walking distance) had amazing almond croissants and in Pasadena we would recommend The Abour. But we also took a couple of meals poolside to enjoy the atmosphere.
