About this house rental

Charming and well appointed Fisherman's cottage, thoughtfully renovated to retain some of its original features, Fleur Baix will delight those seeking a relaxing holiday. Leave the car and walk to either Westernport Bay or Bass Strait, both just a couple of minutes walk from the front door, breathe in the fresh sea breezes or take a dip. Call in at one of the villages' quaint cafes for a latte and a bite to eat or browse in one of the speciality shops or Antique shops. Don't forget the chocolate shop!!

Dinner at one of the nearby wineries with award winning restaurants is sure to please the most discerning diners. Transport to and from the wineries can be arranged by appointment.
Only a 5 minute drive to Montalto, Ten Minutes by Tractor, Red Hill Estate, Port Phillip Estate, just to mention a few .... Or why not have a feast back at the cottage and indulge in some of our fabulous Fresh Peninsula produce and local wine available at our well stocked general store.

Peninsula Hot Springs is also only a 15 minute drive from Flinders or we can arrange a spa treatment, right here in Flinders Village. The Flinders Golf Course is only a five minute walk, so throw in the clubs, while the women do a little retail therapy at one of our boutiques located along the main street.

Flinders is a destination you will fall in love with, along with "Fleur Baix".

Our third stay over a few years. Small improvements to house over this time has made it even better. Close to shops, park, walks, walk Flinders beach and jetty; and our favourite, (by car)Point Leo. Lots to do. Highly recommend.

Property was dark , damp and dismal with a very poor bathroom to cap it all no Wi-Fi Left after one night for more comfortable rooms . Have rented many cottages across Australia but never had to do this

A very comfortable house, extremely peaceful yet with all of Flinders' attractions virtually at the door. Our stay was further enhanced by our host, whose flexibility helped make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

We loved our stay at Fleur Baix, which is a beautiful secluded house, right in the centre of Flinders. The property is spacious, yet cosy, and very well equipped. The only thing missing is wifi, but that was not a big issue.

My husband, adult daughter and I spent 2 lovely nights at Susie and Damon’s house in Flinders. The house is beautiful and comfortable, with plenty of quiet spots for reading and relaxing, while only a short walk from the shops and restaurants. The garden is also lovely and the high brush fence on the street side makes the front yard and verandah very private and shady: the perfect place for a quiet drink, read or contemplation. A perfect retreat from the busy life!

Fantastic location, great size and yard. Easy walking distance to the local cafes, restaurants and shops. Although the listing does state there is no wifi, I had admittedly overlooked this and in hindsight this did make the visit difficult for family members requiring wifi.

Our second time here and once again not disappointed. Charming house, huge backyard for the kids to throw frisbee, play ball games. Short walk to lots of interesting shops and to the Flinders pier and beach. Beach reminds me of childhood beaches in SAust. Seaweed. If you want white pristine sands then 20 minutes drive to Rosebud. Host Suzie very welcoming and available for any questions. Highly recommend.

The charm of a 'beach shack', the comfort of care and the minimalist design of open plan living all combine to make this house a simple, easy and fun getaway. Nicely designed, well serviced, clean and meticulously cared for. The sound of the roaring ocean from the back garden is a constant invitation to explore the great beauty of St Andrew's beach which is just a short walk away. Great stay!

We had a lovely month-long stay at Fleur Baix with our two children. The house is very comfortable, clean and uncluttered with a fully-fenced yard. Location is in the heart of Flinders with a two-minute walk to the playground, general store, great restaurants such as the village cafe and Moke. Perfect position for walks to the ocean beach and golf course. I was concerned about road noise at night before we got there but it really wasn’t an issue as there is literally no traffic at night. Thank you so much to our host, Susie! Ps there is a dishwasher although I’m not sure that the listing reflected this. Five stars!

This is a beautiful cottage within walking distance of the pretty town of Finders. It has real period charm and all amenities (except for a dishwasher!). The beds are comfy, the lounge room has huge roomy couches and the house and garden are both a picture. And of course there is heaps too do on the Peninsula from walks to mazes to swims.

Gorgeous inviting house. Gran and family of four stayed for Easter. Kids loved playing in the large yard, lots of comfortable lounges to curl up with book/ipad, large dining table for family dinners. Bathroom small but adequate. Easy walk to park for kids to play, and to wander to shops with great general store and walking distance to beach (be prepared for steep cliff stairs). Highly recommend and would stay again. Thanks Susie for warm welcome.

We had a lovely two-night stay in Fleur Baix and felt very at home. The property is set up with quality linens and towels and the kitchen met our needs well. There was plenty of space for us to enjoy relaxing with the Saturday paper.and the beds were very comfortable. Although it was a very hot weekend, the inside temperature was pleasant and we didn’t need to use the air conditioner. Overall a great mini-break for our busy family group-we recommend it!

I would definitely stay here again as the location was perfect. We could walk to the beach and cafes etc. short drive to wineries. Lovely garden. Close to playground. Kitchen had all the pots and plates we needed. This place really surpassed our expectations. To make it even better, it would be great to have block-out-blinds on the middle bedroom. Also, mattress toppers would add more comfort (but maybe I’m just used to a soft topper). All in all I really recommend this cute cottage for a low key family getaway

Whilst it was very chilly on arrival, it didn't take long at all for the fireplace to warm the house up which was lovely! The kitchen is well equipped and has a great oven. The house was spotless and very tidy, and Susie a lovely host.

The house has everything we needed - it is very clean, modern, spacious and stocked with the basics. The gas fire was great and heated the house, comfy beds, great shower, big kitchen, comfy couch, quiet location but only 5 mins drive to Rye. Jenni provided very clear instructions and was quick to communicate. I would recommend this property and a keen to return.
