Some of the benefits of this rental include:
PRIVATE FISHING - September thru November is awesome. Green drakes, hoppers and all kinds of mayflies. Always hatches of PMD's and Blue Wing Olives on the Frying Pan River which is only 3 miles away. There is always good fishing year round. A private tributary of the Roaring Fork runs in front of the house and the river is about 100 yards away. The tributary averages 40 feet in width with 9 separate pools. Hundreds of catch and release trout. We are across from ACES Rock Bottom Ranch, a pristine nature conservancy with a path leading across the island in front of the house to the Roaring Fork River. We have an exclusive fishing easement which opens up an incredible amount of private fishing in both directions. Barbless fly fishing only.
WINTER BENEFITS! Direct access to Highway 82, this road is the first cleared and ready for full operation first thing in the morning. It is about a 25 minute drive to skiing in Aspen, and great access to local Nordic trails and backcountry skiing. The south facing deck gets lots of glorious sun all winter.
The fishing is also excellent in the winter. One of the deepest holes on the Roaring Fork is located in front of the property. Go deep with small nymphs and a big brown will be the reward. It is easy to cross and wade both sides as the water is low and slower.
Aspen/Snowmass/Buttermilk/Highlands ski areas are an easy 25 minute drive up valley. Sunlight ski resort is 25 minutes down valley and Beaver Creek and Vail just an hour away.
BIKING - We are in the middle of the Roaring Fork Valley and just 1/2 mile from the 45 mile long bike path from Glenwood Springs to Aspen. There is easy access to all levels of biking close by. If you enjoy road biking, the Frying Pan River road outside of Basalt is one of the most scenic rides in the country, and we are only a mile from the incredible Rio Grande trail, stretching 42 miles form Glenwood to Aspen. For mountain bikers, enjoy easy access to our incredible trail networks; Red Hill and Prince Creek in Carbondale, the extensive trail network in Aspen ( and the excellent lift served trails at Snowmass). a 15 minute ride to glassier and you can access all of the mountain biking in prince creek and the crow, with endless routes to choose from.
GOLF - Four public courses within 10-30 minute drive; River Valley Ranch Golf Course, Iron Bridge, Aspen Municipal and Lakota.

Everything was absolute fantastic about this. The place is clean and very well maintained. The location is excellent. The views from the house are breathtaking — it’s right in the mountains and on a gorgeous river. The property owner checked in and made sure everything was good. When we had one question, he was quickly responsive and helpful. We would come back here in a minute, and probably will!

Nick and Tricia were great hosts. The house was just as described, and was well maintained and very well stocked. Check in was easy and the house was easy to find. The location was great, with easy access to both Carbondale and Basalt. We hope to stay there again!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Great location close to basalt, carbondale and Aspen. The property is gorgeous and very quiet and relaxing. All the amenities that you need are provided and it still feels private even though it’s a guesthouse.
We will definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful week in August on the Roaring Fork enjoying the beautiful sunsets and moonrises and their reflections on the river. The osprey nest can be viewed from the deck and we enjoyed watching them fly around and fishing. The house itself is stylish and very well laid out. There are floor to ceiling windows / doors with amazing views seen from the kitchen and sitting area and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. All household supplies (and then some) are in abundance and labeled. The owner, Nick, was very responsive vie text to any questions or concerns. Hope to stay again soon!

We stayed for a little under three weeks this summer and wish it could have been even longer. Even though it’s a guest house on the property of the main house it feels very independent of the main property. The design is contemporary, clean and open. The views are spectacular. They thought of everything when designing this space and nailed it!
This was our first time staying at this end of the valley and really enjoyed all it had to offer. Biked and even ran to Carbondale and basalt. The grocery is so convenient we could run over every night to grab something to cook. We loved taking our dogs to the crown mountain dog park (under a mile down the street) to play and swim with all the other Dogs. And my husband discovered the expansive mountain biking for the first time that is also a short distance from the house.
Can’t thank our host more for sharing the space they so beautifully and thoughtfully designed!
Much appreciated it all! Jen

Our stay here as a family of 4 was perfect. The setting is epic with the river and mountains. Sitting on the patio or in the hot tub with the river roaring is so relaxing that you simply don't want to leave.
The house was very well stocked from kitchen necessities to paper products and linens. The spaces are open with thoughtful decor to enhance the overall modern aspect.
We enjoyed our time immensely and hope to be back in the future!

House is beautiful and has everything you need. Setting is absolutely gorgeous and great for a long weekend getaway from Denver with parents visiting from Ohio. Views of and proximity to the Roaring Fork are unbelievable. Super clean, fenced in dog area with doggy door for the pooch, great deck, patio and hot tub. Super easy check in, owners stay out of your hair, but are available if needed. Easy drive to Aspen, Basalt, and Glenwood Springs. Would go back and highly recommend to anyone who loves mountains, fishing, hiking, skiing, etc.

This is one of our favorite VRBO's we've ever stayed at. Our initial plan was to use this as a base point to sleep during our adventures. After seeing how beautiful it was, though, we decided to stay on property both days and use the wonderful amenities and take in the nice views. The home is so clean and has everything you would ever need for a wonderful stay. The river is amazing and we really enjoyed watching the osprey. We really felt at home here and will absolutely be back.

I booked this as a birthday surprise for my fiancee, and we needed some downtime. The house was just as described - much thought went into the decorations. The views of the river were amazing. We even got to see some Osprey. The hot tub sits great, so you can see and hear the river. I will come back again.

My husband and I, along with our two adult children, stayed at this incredible guest house in October 2023. It's just as pictured, very well appointed (gas grill, w/d, hot tub, etc.), and extremely comfortable. The location is very convenient to Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs. Our hosts were responsive, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. There is AC on the main floor which you may or may not use, and there is radiant heat (pretty sure). The primary shower is huge and there is plenty of closet space to use as needed, in both rooms.
The views from the deck are to die for, especially during October when the leaves are still hanging on in the valley with their rich yellows. The roaring fork river flows right behind the house and we not only enjoyed fishing, we enjoyed falling asleep and waking to the white noise of the river flowing. Their hot tub sits so you can enjoy the view of the river. And star gazing at night is unbelievable!
We hope to enjoy this spot again in the future! 5 Stars!

Wow! This place is absolutely stunning, just as advertised. The home is incredibly modern and gives off a cozy mountain skiing lodge vibe. My son and I visited in late summer, and we had an amazing time fly fishing just steps away from the Roaring Fork River. We're definitely planning to return the next time we're in the Aspen area.

I can't say enough about how ideal this home is. The house is perfectly decorated, the view is breathtaking, and the hot tub and deck allow you to cook out and take in all the surrounding beauty. The location, on the Roaring Fork, allows for fly fishing right out of the back door, and it is a short drive to every amenity you could ask for. The hosts ensured we had everything we could ever need. My family and I can't wait to go back next summer!

Had an amazing time! The house is wonderful, great location, & beautiful views! My husband loved being able to fish right outside and a short drive drive to the Frying Pan. Hoping to bring the family back up this summer!

We just got back from a 5 day 4 night stay at this cabin in Carbondale and we are already dying to go back! We were there for the winter x games in Aspen and instead of staying in Aspen we decided to try this place out and it was the best decision we could have made. It is so conveniently located right off the 82 and only 20 minutes from Aspen. This will be the place we stay if we are ever back in the area.
Jeff was very responsive and we didn’t have a single problem.

Nick and Patricia were great to deal with. They even went the extra mile to refer us to a place to get some clothes when one of our bags didn't make it onto the plane!

My wife and I just returned from three nights in this beautiful home, and absolutely loved it. We have stayed in a number of vacation rentals over the years, and this is among the very best.
It's super clean and very well maintained. The hot tub is great. The furniture is comfortable (not always the case at a vacation rental!). It's within minutes of groceries and truly great restaurants. And the view! We were lucky enough to be here for some amazing fall colors on the river. It is breathtaking.
I wish we had some more time to stay, but we definitely plan to return. Thank you Nick and Patricia!

The views of the Roaring Fork from the house and hot tub were breath taking. The fall colors were in all directions, truly gorgeous! Everything about the place was well thought out and well equipped. We didn’t want for anything but more time and maybe less rain! Carbondale is a great location! We spend days in the Redstone area, Aspen, Glenwood Canyon and Independence Pass, easily assisible. The hot tub was gorgeous and very welcoming after long hikes and days - lots of wildlife viewed from it!

This was one of the most relaxing trips my husband and I have ever taken. The house is PERFECT ! We enjoyed the pool table and the jacuzzi so much. The grounds were meticulously manicured just a beautiful place ! And you can feel like you are in the middle of no where but still be so close to everything you need. Oh and the wildlife ! Seeing the deer walk right past your front door was breathtaking. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the Aspen/Carbondale area.

My husband and I booked this place for our honeymoon and it turned out to be perfect. The house is gorgeous and cozy yet spacious. We were able to fly fish on the roaring fork, soak in the hot tub, and play pool. We also were very close to several trails that we could hike and many restaurants. This house was the perfect getaway for a few days and we can’t wait to come back!
