About this cottage rental
1 house away from beach access to walk/play at the beach and watch pretty sunrise then walk to restaurants.
We have been renting ocean front vacation rentals for over 18 years. We purchased this very special and adorable cottage just steps from the beach and we spent tens of thousands of dollars renovating it back to it's former glory. We pride ourselves on providing an enjoyable relaxing vacation experience with nice furnishings and a beautiful setting and as a result we have many repeat customers that come back year after year.
This very rare and adorable 1934 beach cottage has been beautifully restored to its former glory days. It is located in the heart of Jacksonville Beach and only steps away from the ocean. It is easy walking distance to many shops, festivals, bars, clubs, and restaurants. Everything is right there.
And we are only 10 minutes away from the famous Mayo clinic and 15 minutes to the PGA Tour Headquarters and famous TPC Sawgrass Championship golf course with its new $80 million dollar club house and the annual PGA Tour Players Championship Tournament.
We are also just 30 minutes to beautiful St. Augustine, FL the Nations oldest city and a major tourist attraction in its own right.
Our cottage is suitable for just one couple, several couples, or a an entire family getaway or family reunion. For a smaller wedding, why not have your wedding on the beach and your reception at the Cottage. We have a huge private backyard, one of the largest at the beach where you can simply relax or even have your breakfast, lunch, or dinner in the privacy of your own backyard.
Check us out on Google Earth or Google Maps and you will see how close we are to the beach. We have a limited supply of beach chairs for the adults, and even beach toys for the kids.
We also have a beautiful fire pit for those chilly evenings or for a good old fashioned campfire like the old days. And of course don't forget our very own Tiki Hut / Bar in the backyard too. This is the perfect vacation getaway location.
Because we are in a residential neighborhood we simply ask you to respect the neighbors at night with common courtesy and the fact that they have to go to work in the mornings while you are on vacation.
We furnished this adorable cottage with nice furniture such as a rattan dining room set, and rattan living room furniture and we decorated the place like a home. You will feel it's your home away from home the moment you walk into this adorable cottage. The cottage still has original beautiful wood walls and wood floors almost throughout the entire house. The walls and floors are absolutely beautiful after our refinishing.
Our kitchen is stocked with cookware, dishes, utensils, glasses, and of course campaign glasses to start your vacation. The side-by-side fridge has ice and water in the door. You may just find yourself eating out in the terrific local restaurants within 5 or less than 5 minutes walking distance, or you'll appreciate the microwave and coffeemaker for your convenience too! Plus, you can also put something into crock pot and the food will be ready when you come back from beach. If not, you can throw chicken/steak/hamburger, etc. on the BBQ grill and enjoy your family picnic at the backyard. We recently added a cute surf board outdoor shower so that you can take a warm shower to rinse off all the sand.
A laundry room is equipped with washer, dryer to makes longer trips away from home easier.
Sheets, liens and towels will also be provided. The cottage is also furnished with HD TV , Blue Ray DVD player, and Roky, Sling, Netflex apps for your quiet time. W also provide WIFI internet service too, just in case you want to stay in touch with family/friends during your stay.

We absolutely loved our stay. Second time staying in this cottage with all my kids, plus our dogs. This beautiful cottage is conveniently located near grocery stores, restaurants and souvenirs shops. Location and beach access is perfect. Highly recommend

While I wasn't there, I visited quite often. I would highly recommend that they consider a banister rail at the front steps. It is a dangerous step-down from the porch level, especially for seniors, such as myself.. It could result in a legal suit, if someone fell and were hurt. Otherwise a wonderful vacation spot.

This house was perfect for our family beach getaway with our two teenage sons! Great space! plenty of room, but with a cozy vintage beach cottage feel! Beach access was incredibly convenient! We enjoyed fishing at Jax Beach Pier, a day trip to St. Augustine and plently of beach and ocean time. Close to lots of great shops and restaurants! Bearded Pig BBQ was our favorite! We definitely will be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The beach cottage is lovely, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed our time there, and we appreciated the closeness to the beach and the availability of parking. Usually we had at least 2 spaces to share with family whose rental was farther away. They also could rinse off their sand on the outdoor shower and use the bathroom near the back door—all very well set up. The cottage was clean and very well stocked, with dishwashing and dishwasher soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each bathroom, etc. When the WiFi didn’t work, we got a quick response from the property manager, who told us that the local Verizon was out, but that they would restore it soon, as they did. Nice to get the info quickly, as we had someone who needed to work.
In one bathroom, the large shower had 2 sets of controls and shower heads. A sign said that one of them had reverse temps (cold would be hot, and hot cold). We tried it, keeping that in mind, but one was hot and the other hotter. Since the other end of the shower had controls that worked great, it was not a problem, though the shower head was low for our tall folks.
Considering our proximity to the beach, construction nearby, and large condos across the street, noise could have been a problem, but it really was not. The listing is very accurate, check-in simple, location great, and management good. If we came to Jacksonville Beach again, we would gladly stay here again.

For the past 21 years I gather a group of girlfriends for Springing the Blues Festival, and have rented this little blue cottage several times, and keep coming back! It is quaint, clean, and the host, Jean, is an outstanding host. Very friendly and accommodating. I'm always sad when I miss my window to rent it for "me and my gal's "rights of spring"!

Much, much closer to the beach access than I imagined! 150 yards maybe. House is just as charming in person as in the photos. Courtyard was also very nice. If you’ve got a family with 8 to 10 members the house and the rear guest suite are perfect.

Excellent location: half a block from the ocean. Charming home with an 'old' Florida feel. Very clean. Quick communication with owner. Clear instructions as to check in and check out. Would booked this home again...and again...and again!
We were an extended family of 10 in town for a family wedding. One part of our family had a different departure date. We were able to book the main house for the bulk of our family and the onsite suite for the early departure group. This helped us save money and still be together. The location to the beach was perfect. The street is quiet. We appreciated the use of the boogie boards and beach chairs. Everything we could possibly need was available in the home. The beds slept great and there was plenty of towels and linens. We loved our stay. Thanks, Jean.

This adorable cottage was the perfect overflow place for our Thanksgiving family get-together. It was big enough in the kitchen and the dining room for a family Thanksgiving dinner. After dinner, we were in a beautiful location to walk on the beach. There’s a green space right at the end of the street that our grandchild loved. The host was gracious and responded to our questions. We can highly recommend this cottage!

This 1934 Cottage must have been professionally decorated! The furnishings were lovely and wonderfully comfortable. I found the rental clean and well supplied. The rich vintage paneling and beautiful landscaping was an incredible treat.
Two min to a beach handicapped access was very much appreciated.

This little beach cottage is adorable. The backyard is great for get together’s and it’s so close to the beach and Jax Beach restaurants and bars.

We just checked out this morning. It was an amazing trip to see our son Graduate from UNF. Let’s start with the property manager, she was amazing to deal with and extremely accommodating. We reached out to her prior to checking in with a few questions and Jean answered us quickly and was extremely responsive and helpful.
The house: the house was a very old cottage but was neat and clean. We had several people there getting ready for our son’s graduation and NEVER came close to running out of hot water. The furniture is older but not an issue. Everyone raved about the beds and slept like champs. The backyard is a great spot to hang with family and friends. It comes with a tiki bar and fire pit.
Location: when they tell you it’s close to the beach they were not kidding. The 2 grandmas each had a boot on their feet from broken bones and they actually hobbled there without a major problem. We will be back 👍

Our family had a wonderful time in Jacksonville! Many times we felt as if we were the only family there. We walked barefoot across the brick street into the grassy park and across the boardwalk directly to the beach. The house has great charm and gave us 1 week with our adult kiddos. It was so nice being under 1 roof again. I’m so grateful!! You will be pleased if you choose to book this home.

Toaster does not work.
The entire place could use a good dusting, i.e. blinds, objects hanging on walls, underneath beds, etc.
The carpet in the master bed room was turned up and very easy to trip on. A serious liability issue. Duck tape for a couple of weeks may fix the problem. If not double side the tape so it adheres to the carpet and the floor.
The stove and countertops were not clean.
The toilet paper supply was inadequate for two people.
The hot water for the shower was totally inadequate. The best result was warm water. This is very poor accommodations.
Shower bars to hold on to would be welcomed for the 60+ age group. I am 79 and in great health BUT I need something to keep me stable in the shower.

It rained or was chilly about half of our 4 day stay. I was disappointed the first morning, however there was shopping close enough that I took advantage of purchasing some household items as well as office supplies. The rest of the time I couldn’t go outside I sat on the day bed which was against a large window & I could read, crochet & catch up with my binge worthy episodes on my lap top all while looking out of the window.

Seven people stayed at the house for four nights. And on game day(Sat. 10/29) we had twelve adults there for around 7-8 hours. The large and open kitchen was great for everyone to move around while cooking all our various snacks. The backyard was awesome for socializing and playing cornhole before the game and during halftime. And the fire pit and bar were perfect for relaxing and winding down after the game. Really close walk to the beach during the other days. Plenty of restaurants, shops and bars close by for the other nights. All in all I was SUPER happy with this property. Thank You!!!

We stayed here for a week. Everything you needed was there except for groceries. Even beach supplies! It is an old beach house that has been kept up in a neighborhood of high rises. A 3 minute walk to the beach and it is a great beach. Check in and out were very easy. Loved it!!!!
