This cabin was the absolute highlight of our trip. There’s so much fun to be had in the area, but this was the perfect place to host a group! There’s something for kids, something for the pool crowd, something for the s’more lovers. Everyone had a blast hanging out here and we wish we could have stayed longer!

Great location and house. We saw bears everyday, watched 4th of July fireworks from the deck. The kids and adults loved the pool and hot tub. The bedrooms were great.

The house was spacious and well furnished for our family. The ages of our group of 27 ranged from 92 to 3 months. The kids loved the bunk beds, game consoles, and theater.

Traveled with a group of 28 (12 adults, 16 kids). We always enjoy the Smoky Mountain area. This cabin was by far the best we've used. It had everything we needed (kitchen needs, pool/hot tub needs, fire pit, linen/towels for room). Only issue was with wifi (did not work during stay), but we had plenty to do, so that was not much of a problem in the end. We did have a couple bear visits, which provided much excitement for the kids. Overall, would definitely book again. Can't wait until we plan our next Smoky Mountain visit.

Wonderful stay at a beautiful cabin!

The property was amazing. Location was a mile from heart of Gatlinburg. Paperwork leading up to check in could have been easier. I had to complete the paperwork 4 times. (ex) They gave you 8 lines for guest name's but they wanted every guest name so you had to put as many on one line as possible. That was not explained. The submit button was not working after each answer or signature. Not the home owners fault it was the reservation website's

Great property for large groups. Bear Central.
This property was great. Had 40 family members from across the country ages 1-80. Super clean, well laid out. House was terrific. However, beware of the bears! First day it was kinda cool. After that they just disrupted things. They came by multiple times per day. We did not feed them and kept our trash locked up. Obviously they are accustomed to humans. Thank goodness the house was so perfect- the kids could not play outside without close supervision. House gets 5* but probly won't go back.

Even better than the pictures!
This Gatlinburg cabin is absolutely amazing. It was perfect for our weekend away with a large family. The listing photos are extremely accurate, and in my opinion, the cabin itself was even more beautiful and spacious in person. Check in was simple, and communication with the property management was excellent. I absolutely recommend this cabin, and will be considering Stony Brook cabin rentals in the future.

Over 50’s trip
The house was amazing. It was well equipped with everything we could possibly need. We were a little bummed that the hot tub stopped working in the 2nd day we were there. After our 12mile hike we came home to find that the water was freezing.
We enjoyed seeing the bears in the evening
We will definitely be back!

Amazing in every way
We were a large group of ladies on a college alumni reunion. The house was amazing in every way, to even include the phone calls checking on us our first night to ensure we didn't need anything! Check in was super easy, and we had lots of options to explore Gatlinburg pre-arrival from the rental. However, we mostly just stayed in the house and enjoyed its many amenities. It was clean, very roomy, and we all agreed the kitchen was extremely well-stocked for a large group rental based on numerous past experiences. If we come back to Gatlinburg for our annual reunion we will come back here! **All the signs for bears were accurate - read the "what to do" and you will be fine.

Perfect Cabin!
We were 42 people and we were very pleased with the cabin. there was more than enough space for everyone to sleep. All the rooms were very well organized, equipped, and cleaned. I would recommend this property. Be aware that there are bears in the area so be prepared for this experience. The town is not too far for groceries and all the activities. This was a little expensive property but the experience was worth the price!

Rat infested disgusting property
I have never reviewed a property before, but I would not want other families to experience what we experienced on this trip. First, the property is extremely rundown and is absolutely filthy. Within minutes of arriving the bottoms of our feet were black from the dirty floors. Everything is extremely old and beat up. The kitchen is a weird hodgepodge of old secondhand garage sale cookware. The vast majority of which is caked in Grease and burnt food. We tried baking something in the oven and it would not stop smoking because it is full of grease and food. That oven has never been cleaned and I thought it was on fire as it burned off the sludge.
We went to use the bathroom, and the toilet seat is not even attached to the commode. It simply fell off, what a joke. We used the shower in our bedroom one time and it immediately backed up and was plugged. The remainder of the trip the shower was full of dirty disgusting shower water
To make matters worse the house is infested with rats. Yes, you’re reading this correctly we saw rats scurrying throughout the kitchen on multiple occasions. This is a hell hole, you should avoid this place at all costs. If you have it lined up for a rental, I would cancel that immediately. I’ve never been more disgusted by a single place in my entire life. It is shocking that you’re allowed to rent this property in this condition.

Beautiful house and location. House was very accommodating for our large group.
We had a great experience. House accommodated our large group. Plenty of places to sit, easy to cook in with plenty cooking utensils. Everyone enjoyed the pool, hot tub, media room and pool table. Plenty to do for all ages. We look forward to the day we stay here again.

House is absolutely gorgeous!
My main concern for this house is there is not enough parking without parking behind each other and then you have to move to let others out. We had 8 vehicles there and it was crowded, I would hate to see it at capacity. The beds were awesome, could use better pillows, they were flat. There ARE bears around! They got in the bed of one of our trucks. We saw them every morning. The view is amazing. It is very high up and the road is crazy curvy and steep. To give you a mental pin point of location of this house it is right behind the aquarium at the top of the hill in Gatlinburg but you are so high up you would not know you are that close to town. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Isolated Fun, Great Views, A Must Stay
Property was exactly as pictured if not better. Secluded luxury. Several days we walked down the mountain to Gatlinburg and back up which was a workout to say the least. Loved having the pool, hot tub and fire pit. Great views! Kitchen was stocked with glassware, utensils, cookware, etc. Plenty of towels (bath and pool). Wish we could have stayed even longer. So much space to spread out. If you need to isolate for the pandemic or just need a quiet place the Greystone Retreat is the place to be!

Getaway
House was great. Pam was amazing. Kids loved the pool. Fire pit is how I would want to build in my own yard. Great location to Gatlinburg shops and restaurants.
Seems to be located directly where the fires were. They did a great job rebuilding the house but a majority of the trees around the property have been burnt down. Very Sad.
Overall great house in great location to Gatlinburg shops and restaurants but not private due to fires.
Would recommend. Thank you Pam for everything.

Great house - great location
We had 25 adults for the weekend. The weather prevented our planned hiking outing, but there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and find something to do. We were really impressed with how well the kitchen was outfitted. We cooked 4 big meals and had everything we needed — including 2 big crock pots, plenty of dishes and silverware, and multiple coffee makers. I was really happy to see that additional tables had been added to the dining area from what the pictures show. It provided enough space for everyone to sit without having to use the counter stools. The location couldn’t be more convenient to Gatlinburg - just a short ride down the hill. I would definitely recommend this property.

Perfect for big family
We loved everything about this cabin! There was tons of space and set up perfectly for our family of 30. The firepit and views from porch were amazing. And having the pool for the kids was the icing on top! We will definitely be back next year !

Be Aware of Bears
It was a wonderful experience. This place is located ideally, close to the downtown Gatlinburg area(which saves you a lot of time) but you do feel totally secluded at the same time. The views from the deck are breathtaking. We had 33 people in the group and with so many rooms, we still had plenty of room to spare. The pool was the biggest hit with kids!
We were warned about Bears in the area. There is actually a sign right in front of the cabin. Sure enough we had visitors back to back two days. They came out after dark after we did BBQ. They were right on the deck! Make sure kids are not going out after dark without adult supervision. At the end, their visit made the stay even more memorable.
I would highly recommend this cabin and we will definitely stay here if we even came back to this area.

Great view for wedding on site!
Excuse this lengthy review, but this house deserves a detailed review! We paid an extra $20 to be able to check in without stopping at the office, this was very convenient given they called us as soon as the place was ready so we could get in early!
I had mentioned somewhere in ail correspondence with Stony Brook that we were planning on getting married at the house and when we arrived, there was a card signed by the staff and a little bear cake topper!
The house is stunning and the view is WOW, incredible. The rooms are all about the same size, with the exception of one of the bedrooms on the main floor (handicap accessible room) not having a closet, but it does have a zero entry shower. The only complaint about the rooms is just that they give plenty of towels, but no real hooks to hang them on, just the short bar that all the towels come on.
The kitchen is nice and well equipped with plenty of dishes! We didn't have any problems storing food contrary to a prior review because there was a completely empty wood cabinet

Baseball, Swimming and Bears...
Greystone Retreat had it all. We took twelve families across the country to play in the Cal Ripken Experience and the lodging of this cabin was an absolute HOMERUN! Our players swam for hours, our parents were able to watch tv alone or together in the large family room and when we used the BBQ, we even received a visit from the local bears. AWESOME!!!

The pictures does not do this place any justice! The cabin is truly AMAZING!
I held a retreat for 21 woman here on Mother’s Day weekend & it was EVERYTHING I hoped for and more. The cabin was absolutely stunning; it was modern, amazingly clean, functional, tranquil, cozy and the views of the Smoky mountains were gorgeous. The house had everything we needed; an abundance of dinnerware, cups, utensils, etc. More importantly the service was top notch. The owners & staff provided amazing service & are super friendly. They made sure our stay was exceptional. They made sure the pool levels were always safe for us daily & when we lost our lights in one room (minor issue), they sent someone right away to rectify the problem. They provided overall phenomenal customer service. We also hired. Private chef (Chef Ray of Fruitful Vintage) which is affiliated with StonyBrook cabins and I sing his praises. He had a great personality, flavorful food, was punctual & I can’t wait to hire him again. This was my first time in Tennessee & it will forever hold a special place in my heart. It’s a feel good place.
