This cabin provided a perfect place to sleep and rest while exploring the mountains.

Driveway is a little steep and was a little messy since it snowed. Otherwise though the house was great and so was the internet.

We had a great time with my family of four and our two small dogs. There was plenty of room and it was a great location.
The pilot light was out in the fireplace, but that was fixed within an hour, thank you very much. There was also no sponge to wash dishes, but that was fixed quickly as well.
Plenty of room in the cabin to relax and play. Close to snow. We loved that the back deck was fenced for our dogs.
Overall we were very happy and would go back.

With professional management, quite clean, like them use environmental friendly non-plactics container for shampoos, conditioner and soaps. Good quality, plates and cups, bathroom and kichen towels, and new beddings. Plenty of space for sleeping.

Great location. Very quiet and beautiful spot to sit under the pines. Plenty of room for the four of us. Nice space to sit and relax both inside and out. Really close to Calavaras Big Trees and not too much farther to other good places to visit like Murphy’s.

The cabin was great and the beds were comfortable. We had some issues when we first arrived but there is no cell service and the e-mails and text messages went unanswered. When we arrived there was no power to half the cabin, my husband who has a broken leg had to wander around the outside of the cabin in the snow and in the dark to find the fuse box. We also had no hot water and I had to go relight the pilot light the next day. Other than the zero response we got from the management company, once we solved the issues, it was a nice trip.

Loved the cabin. We didn’t see the side door access but the gas fireplace was great and very cozy place. Would totally go back.

Our second visit back to this property, and we absolutely love it! They updated the bungalow which was a nice addition! The visit to lake alpine was beautiful. A short drive to the river, so serene! Can’t wait to return. Thanks for the stay!

Close & quiet for Dorington family wedding
If we could have brought our dog on the plane she would have enjoyed too. Great deck/gas fireplace, and enough windows to enjoy the setting. AT&T does not work in area so appreciated the WiFi at home base. We were only there for 3 nights and did not utilize kitchen to full extent. We thought we could get a few items like coffee tea in California yet our flight was delayed and we did not get there until the wee hours or 1:30 AM. All the stores were closed. So be sure and pack. We really enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, the rest of our family party was within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Retreat Getaway
I thought the cabin was cozy and met our needs. I liked the tv and internet accessibilities. However, the property was not cleaned adequately. Granted this place allows pets however there were pet hairs all over the couches and mats within restrooms. I found that on one of the bunk beds, the sheets were not washed as there were some hairs from previous stays and particles and debris. I was very disappointed and tried to change sheets but there were not sheets, the extra blankets were not washed as there were debris on them. I found one sheet upstairs and thank God but it was not until the next day that i found them. I slept on dirty sheets the first night. I hope the owners will address this with the cleaner and that no one else will experience this as I have.

Memorial Day Stay
We loved the place! I just wish the listing was more detailed. I like how there was a pack n play! This was a lifesaver. There needs to be place to put excess trash, and I'm so glad they had a coffee Keurig. The place was clean and the beds were comfy.

Great weekend in the woods
Property was great. The weather was great. Only minor complaint is that we didn't receive the key box code until the morning of check in. This area in the mountains has poor cell service, so I had to go to a restaurant to get wifi to get the entry info.

Quiet Weekend Getaway
The neighborhood it’s was very quiet and relaxing. Very close to Calaveras Trees Park. I would recommend a house book/directory. We weren’t sure where to put the garbage. The upstairs room was missing the blinds/window coverings and there was a large crack in the window. Besides those two things it was a great stay, would definitely book again.

Nice cabin, needs some TLC
My wife and I had a nice stay at Pine Paradise. We loved that it was on a large, wooded lot set back from a quiet street. The beds were comfortable, we loved the ample deck seating and clean efficient gas stove heater. The property is in need of some maintenance and cleaning. There is a fair amount of random items strewn around the land, there was thick dust up high and down low, cobwebs inside and out, and holes in the screens. The kitchen was haphazardly stocked, there was no dishwasher and the grill is very substandard. Overall a nice enough place to stay for a night or two.

Very nice cabin but comes with issues
Pluses
-excellent cabin interior wood paneling
-quiet neighborhood
-clean interior
-Amazon Firestick with Hulu and Disney+
-gas fireplace
-sleds and saucers
Minuses
-Broken oven. Based on another person's review in March it's now been broken for over a month
-No coffee maker, but there's a Keurig and there were a few pods
-No dishwasher
-Clothes washer detergent looked like wet concrete, we didn't bother to wash any clothes because of that
-Absolutely zero instructions on what to do when you leave, ie what to do with garbage or towels
-messy exterior, lots of garbage strewn around the property.
-10am checkout is early

Not cleaned and poorly maintained and the key was missing
We arrived after dark and there were no lights to find our way to the door. We used cell phone flashlights to locate the keybox, which was empty. It took an hour and calling twice to get in.
The carpets had not been vacuumed, floors swept, a veneer of dust was on furnishings. Over a dozen bags of garbage on patio. Grill and patio furniture was filthy. Broken toys were strewn around the yard. 2 cloth dust masks were in the driveway. Broken window, coffee pot, patio gate, bathroom heater.
It does not sleep 10 and other amenities were not as described.
Our first hour was spent trying to get in. The second hour was cleaning. Once we got it cleaned and sanitized, we could relax.

Our first getaway since Covid. We are self employed and have been working 24/7 to make things work. This was a fantastic getaway. The cabin is spacious with lots of fun games, dvd player (no remote, so couldn't control any settings), gas fireplace with blower. It was comfortable. My biggest gripe is the oven. It's possessed. It wouldn't turn on at all the first day. The 2nd day we noticed the clock blinking so I tried to turn the oven on. Then everything blinked out again. I had meal prepped and froze our food, expecting to be able to reheat in the oven. I brought cookies dough to make fresh baked cookies, which are awesome after skiing.Sometimes we got the oven to stay on long enough to preheat, then the minute I opened to door to put the food in, it would click off. Or I got a meal halfway done, then it would click off. Ugh! Also, there was no salt or pepper. My bad for not packing any. It was also frustrating that there was no way to contact anyone. I sent messages via the VRBO app, but no replies. We couldn't find a garage bin outside, couldn't get the oven to work and wanted to report a broken window upstairs. Minor nuisances that didn't prevent us from having an amazing time.We found the bath towels in the dryer - lucky my husband thought to check cause I thought there were only hand towels! Check the washer too, cause 2 days later we opened it to do a quick load and found the bath rugs.Location was great. Plenty of tp, towels, little shampoo and conditioners, disinfectant wipes, paper towels and dish soap. All great. We had fun.

Wonderful time in the snow
Lovely cabin house in the woods. We had so much fun with the sleds available to use. Cozy fire in the evening to keep us warm. Would absolutely go back.

Great location!
Great location to Bear Valley for skiing, and close to local sledding. Home was able to accommodate 2 families. Only negative was there were not any instructions on the home, so we struggled with turning on the heater and what to do with trash.

Thanksgiving Getaway
Excellent location in a quiet neighborhood. Nice secluded lot for the kids to play. Also a low traffic neighborhood, good for dog walks and the aforementioned kids to ride bikes. Close to Big Trees SP. House warms up quickly, and holds the heat. Newish gas stove...just know the pilot and controls are on the bottom of the stove.

Charming Family Cabin
We are 2 older widowed gals who were traveling with a dog, and I was worried at first that we would feel insecure about being in the woods by ourselves. Not at all! This is a quiet neighborhood where our only visitor was a neighbor's poodle mix who came over to tussle with my dog. This would be a kids' paradise for running around free in the woods. The cabin is bright, airy, open and very comfortable, with a peaceful deck that has a gate to keep the dog in. There is also a high-tech entertainment center for evenings at home.
I do wish the downstairs bathroom had 2 clothes hooks on the wall and a couple of shelves, as there is no place to hang clothes or set down one's toiletries. That could be easily added.
The overall "vibe" of the cabin is of a clean, well-maintained place that's owned by a caring family.
All in all, we were delighted and look forward to coming back.

HIDDEN GEM
Absolutely loved our stay at Paradise Pines. We slept 10 people pretty comfortably. Would recommend 10/10. The deck was perfect to gather around and enjoy time with loved ones. I am already planning to come back next month. Lake Alpine which is about 30 minutes away was awesome. Super relaxed and beautiful.

Great cabin but inaccurate listing
This is a great cabin. It has an in-law unit that has an extra bed in it that was a great hang out for the kids. Kitchen was well stocked. But the listing was inaccurate. The listed fire ring was a pile of rocks buried under debris and trees. Ping pong table and pool table we could see through the window in the garage but the garage was inaccessible. It has a key pad and we were not given the code. When I called the property management to get it, they didn’t have it. You also could not park in it since you couldn’t open it. There was garbage left around the property with broken furniture where clearly someone had been partying there. The couches have been switched out to much smaller ones. There was no binder left by management with how things worked so that was a little frustrating. There is no central heating. The only heat source is the gas stove and plug in heaters. That said it did the job well. But we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the overhead fan to push the heat down from the loft. Overall great little cabin in a quiet neighborhood, but update your listing. Don’t list things that aren’t there or maintained.

Quaint, cozy cabin
Our family of 3 + our dog stayed here for a few nights and loved everything about the cabin. It was cozy and warm and had a fully stocked kitchen with all the essentials you need to make meals at home. The property management company was super responsive when we needed it and made sure we had a great stay. Would definitely love to make it back for another visit.

Small cabin, good location, no instructions
Cabin was clean and in a good location. There were no instructions for the heater though. There is a gas stove that did generate heat. But the thermostat was controlled by a remote control that didn’t work. There is one garbage can in the kitchen. However, there isn’t a larger can outside, so it’s unclear where accumulated garbage can get disposed of. There were no instructions for this either. The listing also mentioned garage access. But again there were no instructions on how to open the garage door and the only key included was for the front door of the house. There’s a TV upstairs, but there wasn’t a remote anywhere for it, so it was basically unusable. And lastly, while there is a bed upstairs in the loft, there is no shower or even a tub up there. So you have to cart your clothes, etc to the downstairs bathroom to shower. Not a major inconvenience, but it was a hassle. Overall this is a decent cabin in a good location. The lack of instructions and missing items were annoying though for the price. I’ve stayed in VRBO properties many times before and have usually had a good experience.
