Very nice area, a little hard to find but the host was helpful in helping us locate it.
Needs a little TLC for the setup outside.
Lake was nice 😊

Spacious cottage, great stay!

This property has some definite pluses - the location is beautiful, easy to find, and on the lake. It is private and
very spacious! Lots of large, bright rooms and a lovely cottage feel with all the wood furnishing & decor.
George was kind & quick to respond to our questions.
We encourage the owners to have the kitchen deep cleaned, decluttered and updated, which will really improve things for the family chef :-) We loved the double fridges!
Accessibility: If some in your group have mobility challenges, there is a walk-in shower, bathroom and large open space right on the main floor as well as a large main bedroom. However, it is challenging to navigate the de/incline from your vehicle to the cottage and down to the water. Caution too that the dock is a floating dock.

This well-equipped property right on the lake provides a relaxing vacation. Plenty of room and new appliances. Had a wonderful time even with the rain.

It was a pleasure staying here and I highly recommend this location for a weekend with friends. George was very accommodating and this location is absolutely stunning. I suggest booking this place during warmer temperatures - the water was crystal clear and my only regret was not getting to enjoy it.

Great cottage to relax with friends. The Cottage was in great shape and clean, but could use a good deep cleaning in certain areas. The dock and waterfront areas are amazing. The Sauna heats up quickly, but only fits 2-3 adults comfortably.
Overall a great cottage and will definitely be looking to book again in the future!

It was a beautiful spot. A few helpful tips for the owner… print off a book for renters, (sent a pdf didn’t print it off ) some of the information was missing, didn’t know it was a gas bbq, where to find light switches for the rooms. had to search around for hand towels etc.
4.7
The cottage is very nice but unorganized. No towels in the bathroom. we had to search every closets to find them. We ended up finding them piled up in the dryer. We never found the booklet with the check out instructions.
4.7
We had a great time. Kitchen well stocked. Not as clean as we expected based on reviews we had read. Single beds weren’t made. We weren’t able to watch TV until a technician showed up. Wifi was very weak.

House was just as described, plenty of room with all of the amenities. Great location close to towns in any direction. I would highly recommend this property especially for larger groups. A very nice property

We had booked this place last yr and loved it- but this yr booked again to include older relatives - aunt and uncle from england- who wanted a true cdn cottage experience! They loved it all. We were: 4 adults 2 seniors (fit but early 70s) and our 2 teens (16-18) . The canoe and paddle at cottage work great- as a bonus canoe is light to lift. We brought our kayaks and tied up our 18.5 ft boat for the week. The place was clean and kitchen fully loaded with anything you need (we brought hand soap) . Very memorable and terrific stay !

Fantastic location right on the water. Great swimming off the dock. Sunsets across the water and serenaded by the loons. Lovely spacious and comfortable lodging with all the amenities of home. Thank you to our hosts!
4.7
The property is very clean, modern, and spacious. Lots of room for family members to be together or separate for different reasons. The dock worked out fine for our boat and the water was very nice with clean, deep water, swimming off the end of the dock. The fishing was great as well.
4.7
Very nice amenities, great sunset view, and fishing was as we had hoped.

This large cottage was such a peaceful place to enjoy great views and to enjoy nature. The cottage was spacious and lovely with really comfortable beds. It was an easy drive to some of the area towns for some shopping. We saw deer every day we were driving to a town - lovely.

Had a great stay in this place. Certainly would want to go back again.

This Cottage is deceiving because it simply kept getting bigger and bigger the more you walk through! Bathrooms and upstairs bedrooms are renovated with a very modern vibe. The Cottage has ample seating and spaces to enjoy cold fall days (snowy days too) inside with all the amenities you need. It truly can accommodate a large family get together or a quiet space for 2. It doesn't feel too big with the layout but plenty of private spaces.
Owner is very responsive as well. A great place to stay.

Very happy with our long weekend stay for Thanksgiving. The weather was cool so we did indoor stuff with adults and kids.
ie. card games and wii games. Ample room in cottage with lots of room for all and great cooking facilities. Outdoors was great too but a little on cool side. Great stay

Easy to rent the property and the owners were very descriptive on how to get there making the trip simple.

Awesome experience with the friends, amazing place to stay with tonnes of room! The lake is amazing there and the location cant get any better, its close to town so if you run out of anything its very easy to get. I would definitely stay there again!

We enjoyed the place very much and the place has everything you can think of (if I know it is equipped with so much and so many we wouldn’t bring so much things.

Fantastic stay with adults family + - teens age 15-18 Huge cottage (lakehouse) 2fridges!!👍 nice layout. Teens loved wifi and firepit and stargazing Solid floating dock. We kept our 18.5 ft boat there. Solid dock ladder to jump in and swim. AC ! Incredible 🌅 sunsets!! . Fab having a dryer for towels. Byo soap pods for laundry. Only flaw was big bed in lake room a little soft but still comfy enough. Bed upstairs firm. Owners (George) super responsive to any Qs. Would def stay again!
4.7
We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very nice, well-equipped kitchen with 2 fridges and lots of room for everyone. The location was also great and the kids were swimming off the dock every day. Good outdoor spaces, good Wi-Fi as well.
4.7
Great location on a large, but fairly quiet lake. Lots of room for 9 of us to sleep in the five bedrooms and very comfortable having 3 washrooms and laundry.
A few things could be improved to make a stay for a large group more pleasant: dining table only sits 6 comfortably and there is no outdoor eating table or area for a large group. There aren’t enough outdoor chairs for everyone to sit on or near the dock. There aren’t proper paddles to use the canoe. Most coffee mugs are chipped or leak due to cracks. These are not big things but contribute to a disconnect between number of beds and comfort for everyone. At the price we paid we have come to expect nicer amenities. The hosts were considerate and very responsive to questions and concerns.

Happy with our stay
We really enjoyed our stay in this cottage. The view was beautiful, the bedrooms and living space were comfortable, the kitchen was well outfitted, and the region, which was new to all of us, is just gorgeous. We would definitely go back.
Just a few minor complaints. There were cigarette butts in the fire pit and a lack of lighting around the grill, so this limited our ability to use these amenities. There was also some confusion when I initially booked the trip. in which some information on the listing was inaccurate, leading to a higher pet fee than I had anticipated. But that obviously did not keep us from coming.
The owners were communicative, and provided a lot of information in order to help us find the cottage. With that said, there were perhaps some conflicting messages about the water, which made us feel a bit confused, so in the end we just bought water the whole time anyway.
But again, these are all minor complaints, explaining why we give the place 4 stars instead of 5. We would recommend booking this venue if it suits your needs.

Gorgeous Sunsets
Beautiful, spacious cottage on Big Rideau Lake with large well equipped kitchen, a large sitting room and two newly finished bedrooms on the upper floor with bathrooms. The views of the lake are beautiful and we were lucky enough to see the most magnificent sunset on one night of our stay.

Our family (two parents, two teenagers, and a cat) stayed at Sunset Waters for six days in mid-July. We enjoyed our stay tremendously, and we would highly recommend this property to others.
The cottage itself is spacious, bright, air-conditioned, and recently remodelled in places. There are five bedrooms in total (one King, two Queens, a double, and two twins), with the two Queens in updated upstairs rooms. Three bathrooms come with three showers, with a tub in the main-floor bathroom as well. The kitchen is roomy and well-stocked, the dining room is pleasant and well-lit, and the large main family room is complemented by an adjacent sunroom. The large-screen TV comes with Disney+ and a Nintendo gaming system, among other features. There are plenty of opportunities both to gather as family and friends or for people (especially teenagers!) to find their own space.
The lake is terrific for swimming, and large enough that the boat traffic is not a distraction to relaxation. The deck has a top level with a covered swing chair and a lower level with a hammock and two deck chairs; bringing the two chairs down to lake level allows you to access the breeze off the water more effectively. Trees along the shoreline provide deck users with both shade and privacy. The neighbouring properties on either side were quiet while we we there.
The cottage runs on well water and the water system was switched off when we arrived, but when I contacted George for assistance, he immediately called back and walked us through the straightforward process of turning the system on, and we had no problems with it during the week. The description advises bringing your own drinking water, which we did, but filtered water for drinking was available both through the sink and one of the two fridges.
Aspects of the cottage we didn't end up using, and so can't comment on, included the propane barbecue, the basement (with sauna and bar), the canoe, and the fire pit next to the deck.
For quick grocery runs, the Foodmarket in Portland (about 10 minutes' drive east) provides all the basics. For more substantive and higher-quality grocery shopping, especially for fresh food and meats, we recommend Kudrinko's in Westport, about 20 minutes' drive west (Westport also has a nice collection of ice cream shops and lakefront picnic benches).
Word-count limits keep us from saying more. We highly recommend this property to families and groups, and would stay there again without hesitation!

The pictures are all 100% accurate. The cottage is spacious and has any cookware you might need and 2 fridges. TV easy to use and connect other devices to. Fire place was great and central air heating worked well. Note that if renting in winter, the side room/extension is not heated although there is an electric heater you could use (we didnt use this side room because of temperature). Sauna was great and heated up quickly. Property was not fully cleaned: lots of dirt and dust under the furniture and we opted not to use the bathroom tub because it was quite dirty as well. There was ample firewood but had to get some newspaper and search for dry kindling (no axe on site to split wood). Location and view very pretty but remote - decent grocery shopping is Brockville 45mins away, closer stores were quite limited). Hosts responded quickly to all queries. All in all it was a great stay with friends over new years. Thank you to the Ibrahims.
