Spacious and open, this three bedroom, three bath condo is just steps from the beautiful palm lined sandy beach at Gentle Winds.
Comfortably furnished with new comfy sofa and club chairs and modern dining area, the open floor plan is perfect for large families. The fully equipped kitchen opens out into the living room.
Two bedrooms are on the main level, one with king bed and the other with two twin beds which can be converted to a king bed if desired. Two full baths complete the downstairs layout. Upstairs you’ll find the master bedroom with king bed, private ocean view patio, and en-suite bath. The cozy loft has queen bed and its own large patio.
The blue waters of the Caribbean beckon from the living room or screened porch beyond. The many amenities of Gentle Winds are yours to choose from: relax on the sandy beach, swim in the large free-form pool, or lunch at the Beach Shack. House is very comfortable with plenty of room and good views. Beach is great we were there everyday and never saw more than 1/2 of the chairs used at any given time. Neither the beach or the pool were ever crowded. Perfect for families to have a great time. Very quiet and peaceful.

It is centrally located on the North Shore and about 20 minutes, or less, away from everything we wanted to do. Virgin Kayaks is less than 5 minutes away, and I would highly recommend them, too. The listing doesn't tell you everything they have in the condo, and we could have packed much lighter had we known everything that was available (beach towels, snorkel gear, etc.). The onsite grill/bar is phenomenal, and the tiki huts provide shade if you don't want to be in the sun all day. They have onsite gas grills if you want to fix your own dinner, and the beach hammocks are a definite plus, too.

Gentle Winds condo community had the perfect amenities for our family between the beach, pool, and sports areas. Sunny Shack beach bar was great for lunch or snack onsite. Condo unit was as described and the in-unit laundry was nice to have. Two binders in the unit with local information - would have loved receiving the restaurant and activity recommendations before our trip via email so we could have planned for those in advance. Only a few items to note - we would have preferred the refrigerator did not have condiments and other items kept inside of it so we could use the entire space for our groceries. It was a nice surprise that laundry detergent and shower toiletries were provided however we did not know that in advance so we packed our own. Overall a great trip and we will be back to Gentle Winds!

The property was perfect! The beach and pool were perfect. We also really enjoyed the Sunny Beach Shack the food and drinks were great. There was a little mishap with the cleaning when we checked in, the property manager responded very fast and solved the problem very quickly and the rest of our stay was perfect. We will definitely be back again.

Spacious, well equipped condo! We had everything we needed! It was so easy to get anywhere on the island from this complex. We loved the beach, the pool and the food at the Tiki bar was excellent. I highly recommend this unit!

This was our first trip to the Virgin Islands. The resort was in immaculate condition, and the condo was just as described! There were no surprises! Once we figured out the air conditioning situation, everything else was just perfect!. The condo was cozy enough for our family to enjoy great quality time together, and roomy enough for us to spread out and have some privacy as well. The pool and beach area were in exceptional condition and we met some really wonderful people. The Sunny Shack offers some of the best food and drinks around, my kids spent a great deal of time down there, Thanks Nick!! We will definitely be back again!

We've stayed all over the Caribbean and this was one of the best kept secrets around! The condo was ultra clean, and well appointed- we had pool toys, snorkeling equipment and even coolers in the unit. It's set on a very spread out, well maintained property with plenty of room to roam and play in the lawns around the unit. The cabana bar (closed in sept- oct by the way) had surprisingly good food and reasonably priced drinks with great service. We absolutely loved this hidden gem of a property, especially for the price point. 10-15 min drive to most places, but central to the island. Can't ask for more!

The condo was clean and generously supplied with everything we needed. The property is well maintained. Just one small maintenance issue with the lock on the front bedroom sliding door. We would rent this unit again for sure.

Jill was very helpful and patience with my all my questions. The check in process was easy, even though we checked in at midnight. The place was exactly as advertised. The place was plenty big enough to handle a family of six and stocked with everything we needed. The view from the condo was great, especially from the balconies. The complex is more like a resort than just a condo complex. Plenty to do, with tennis, basketball, ping pong and of course the pool and beach. The only downside is, the complex is fairly isolated, with the closest market about 15 minutes away. There is one restaurant close by called Flyers. I would definitely recommend it. A little pricey, but the food was great.

The Gentle Winds property is well maintained outside. The unit we rented was really really dated and very dirty. The master closet door was off, the floor tiles are all cracked or chipped. The moldings on the doors have by all appearances never been dusted. The size of the condo is very generous, you could sleep 10 here but this place needs a real cleaning! We enjoyed Nick at the beach bar and spending time on the beach. The pool was great too, well maintained, lot's of seating and it's big.

We enjoyed our week at Gentle Winds. Property and grounds were in outstanding condition considering it was less than a year ago that a major hurricane came through. Our unit was perfectly positioned to view the caribe and pool, while set back enough to offer privacy. Unit was amply stocked with essentials. WiFi is a necessity and was provided. Had a little problem with the TV on night one but was resolved quickly. Only knock is the bed on the upper level, very high off the ground, a step stool would have been appreciated. We’ve love St. Croix and been coming to the island since 1985 and previously owned a condo at another property that did not fare as well. I would highly encourage anyone considering a visit to Gentle Winds to look into this rental.

Great location; but too off season. A lot of places still closed due to last year’s hurricane. And very few tourists.
