Relax in comfort & enjoy all of Maui's activities using this remodeled bright & open floor plan 2 bedroom/2 bath, spacious condominium as your Maui retreat. Enjoy the expansive 50 ft window views which include the ocean & the 10,000 ft. mountain, Haleakala (House of the Sun). The 1048 sq. ft. interior space & the lanai combine to give you almost 1200 sq. ft of high quality living area. The new eco-friendly remodeling in a Contemporary Kama'aina (local Hawaiian) style used quality materials & surfaces such as travertine tiles, bamboo flooring, granite counter tops, tiled bath/shower, tiled shower & tiled lanai. A 52' TV (cable), Netflix and a DVD is located in the living room so you can watch sports or your favorite shows or movies on a big screen. Our condo unit A-308 is located in the front building of the Haleakala Shores complex on the side away from the street and is just a short walk to the ocean and park that you can see from the lanai.
The master bedroom, with direct access to the lanai, has a king bed, tropical decor, a built in computer desk & a 47' TV (cable) on a wall mounted tilt. A walk-in closet/dressing area with full length mirror connects to a bathroom area with two pedestal sinks & a full size deep tub with tiled shower surround & grab bar.
The second bedroom has a queen size bed. A walk-in closet/dressing area with full length mirror connects to a bathroom with a tiled shower & grab bar. When not used as a bedroom, the bed can be easily stored for maximum living space. A futon couch allows for added sleeping capacity.
The kitchen has a Maytag range/oven, 2023 French door Samsung refrigerator with water dispenser and ice maker, new GE dishwasher, new quiet disposal, microwave, air fryer & toaster ovens. A new addition is the professional stainless steel cookware. You'll love the many kitchen tools & small appliances that are for your use. A stocked spice rack means you won't need to buy full jars of spices for just one dish. In unit laundry facilities are located in a separate closet.
Attention to details provide for your comfort. The coffee station features a stainless thermos coffee pot to allow you to keep your coffee hot on the lanai or anywhere else in the condo. This area also features a Keurig coffee maker, a coffee grinder & a cappuccino/expresso maker. You may also enjoy our wine chiller that is part of the bar area. Two stations have been built in to allow for easy computer use. Artwork featuring several local artists has been used to enhance the island atmosphere.
This unit is being upgraded constantly. Several game sets have been added for indoor, table top, outdoor & beach use. There is Netflix access through Amazon Fire Stick. A CD player with docking ports for I-Pod & Mp3 players is now available. In the kitchen, a rice cooker and panini maker has been supplied. A small fold away play pen/crib has been added. A high chair and stroller are also available.
Two air conditioners, two ceiling fans (one in each bedroom), and several tower fans will keep you comfortable. Try using the fans & opening the windows to get the true island experience. Smell the sea air & the flowers. You may have noticed no mention of a furnace. It is not needed ocean side in Maui!!
We now have a high speed WiFi and telephone service that includes free calls to the mainland U.S., Canada and Mexico. The new TV digital service offers more channels and better reception. There is also WiFi at the pool.
Enjoy the pool area, with new lounge chairs and new upgraded BBQs with granite prep area & the gazebo. The pool restroom has been upgraded and is also wheelchair accessible. Walk a very short distance to Kamaole III Beach Park. Boogie boards, beach towels, mats, beach chairs & an umbrella are available for your use. Like to picnic? A picnic bag stocked with all the utensils & a hard sided cooler with wheels are yours to use at the pool, beach or wherever your Maui adventures takes you.
Haleakala Shores has added a new amenity in the locked pool area. We now have a Surfboard/Kayak Hale (storage area) where you can store a rental board or kayak. Slots are available on a first come first serve basis. You must make arrangements with our Resident Manager Molly Duncan before planning to store any item.
Walk to several restaurants, local shops & along the walking trail that follows the ocean starting in the park across the street. Short drives will take you to the Shops of Wailea & some of Maui's finest restaurants.

Absolutely perfect stay. Fantastic location and all the amenities you might need (and then some)! Owners are incredibly responsive and helpful. Some great places to eat within walking distance and beaches literally across the street. It's in a little quieter part of Kihei, which we appreciated. If we ever manage to return to Maui, I would 100% stay in this condo again!

Overall really nice place. Not as updated as other units we've stayed in at Haleakala Shores, but it had lots of kitchen stuff if you plan to cook at the condo/down at the BBQs.
My family and I had a great time and found communication with the owner easy.

Haleakala shores is in the best beach location in kehei. This apartment is very nicely finished and setup well for 4 adults with the wall partition and 2 baths. Very happy with all and would stay here again.

The pictures really dont do this place justice and the communication with the owner was incredible.
The location is perfect as you are within a one minute walk of a beach/Park with plenty space to layout, reef to snorkel, and plenty of green turtles. Then, within a 5 minute walk, there must be 30 stores, 8 eateries/bars, and 5 beaches. If you drive a little further, inteitherhdirectioneare even more shops with a great selection of restaurants (a local) and live music. For Golfers, several courses are within 10 minutes and there plenty of spots for scuba and snorkeling.
The road to Hana is also a wonderful day trip to take from this location.
Everything was in working order and the place was set-up as if we were family coming for a visit and not guests. Everything you need for beach time was also provided by the hosts.
The grounds were safe and inviting. There is a locked community pool with BBQ grill and ample seating that was used on occassion for family fun.
The sunsets across the street at the beach are absolutely incredible! We found ourselves making time each day to enjoy that view!
The host, Karen, was on premises and went out of her way to make us feel welcome from the moment our initial booking was made through our exit.
If you are looking for a great location in Maui that is in the center of everythingwith great views, I would encourage you to look no further.

We forgot a LOT of stuff. This unit has anything you think you might have left at home by mistake. The kitchen and both bathrooms is fully loaded, with anything you can imagine. All the information you need to get around the property is all laid out for you. And all the instructions Karen gives are super detailed. The unit itself is super comfortable.

The property was as described and location was perfect! We walked across the street to see the sunset each night. Location is walking distance to shops. My kids loved the pool. We had a great time and look forward to going back! Mahalo

Joe and Karen’s unit comes with all of the comforts of home. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of dishes, utensils, and cooking appliances. Having two bathrooms is also a plus and the master bath comes with separate sinks. The only minor issue during our stay was the noise from work crews doing a reroofing project and not always having access to our assigned parking stall during the day. But most times we were out exploring and hiking so it was fine. Karen is a very responsive host and communicated well with us. We so appreciated her bringing us a delicious raspberry cake! This is an amazing place to stay for a family visiting Maui! The location is central, the beach is right across the street. It’s walking distance to lots of stores and food! The place can comfortably fit 6 people! Karen is amazing and will have everything setup for you with instructions and keys laid out. She also emails you in advance with lots of suggestions on what to do in the area! She also has all the beach stuff ready in the closet for you to take so you don’t have to rent anything! I would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed in this complex before (but not this unit) and we really enjoy the location. Quick walk to beach, shops and restaurants. We had issues with the living room AC not working which was disappointing however in speaking with Karen they are looking to get that replaced. The 2nd bedroom had an uncomfortable bed which caused sleeping issues. The kitchen is well stocked and we appreciated the “extra” appliances like the air fryer and crockpot! Karen and the management staff were VERY responsive on the minor issues we had while there. Would definitely stay again with a couple minor updates.

The property location was great, across the street from some of the nicest beaches on the island. We cooked our meals at the unit, fully stocked for any cooking needs. Would highly recommend it!

We truly enjoyed out 18 night stay in Karen and Joe’s unit, they have absolutely everything you can think of in this unit…rice maker, crock pot, air fryer, toaster oven, blender, panini maker seriously EVERYTHING!
Also beach towels, chairs, umbrella, boogie board…
They had a few spices too which was nice!
The fridge was nice and big with an ice maker, beds were comfortable, the unit had lots of room…
Think comfort over luxury when you consider the unit…the complex is small but very friendly! Very well located in Kihei within walking distance of all the amenities.

Great accommodations for our group of five! The central location is perfect for exploring all of Maui. Walking distance to the beach and lots of food options. The furnishings are a bit dated but kept tidy and there are a lot of amenities available. Would recommend!

We enjoyed our stay. It was a well stocked apartment, with almost everything we could need apart from groceries (and even then, there were lots of condiments and spices - we left some butter for the next guest). Safeway and the Times Market were a short drive away.
The beach gear was a real blessing - four beach chairs, two boogie boards (our teens enjoyed immensely), lots of beach towels, umbrellas, and plenty of snorkel chairs. There was lots of sunscreen, too. The bathrooms had everything, but with five of us, we almost ran out of TP and we did run out of paper towels.
We enjoyed having meals on the lanai where you can catch a distant glimpse of the sea. My husband grilled steaks down at the pool area and I enjoyed a refreshing swim there. Our teenage son connected his Switch to the TV so he could play games. We also watched shows on the living room TV as well the master bedroom TV.
The only slight drawback was that It was a bit hotter and noisier than we expected. We kept it closed up during the day (all the fans were great), but one window in the bedroom with the trifold sliding wall had no way of closing so that seemed to work against the A/C in the adjacent living room.
At night, we opened the doors and windows to cool it off, which meant hearing the street sounds and roosters crowing. Before bed, we pulled down all the blinds to keep out the light. It ended up working well to close up the master bedroom and turn on the A/C for a bit, so that cut out the noise in there.
The location is conveniently located across the street from a great beach for sunsets, swimming, boogie boarding, strolling the coast, and picnicking on the green (it's a family park with playground). There was also a local arts & crafts fair across the street on Wednesday where I bought a handmade purse. Restaurants and shops are close by. Happy hour at Three's Bar and Grill was a culinary bargain!
The rental owners were communicative and courteous. Karen greeted us when we arrived and replied to a text I sent later. The complimentary cake was an added blessing.

The property and the location was everything we hoped for. This is our second time staying at this property and again the vacation was nothing short of spectacular. We walked across the road to the beach every morning and every evening to capture the sunrise and sunset and walked along the beaches and swam at the beaches, snorkelled at the beaches every day within walking distance. The location provided a base for short trips for snorkelling in the reserve, relaxing on Makena Beach, shopping in Lahaina, jumping off the rocks in Kaanapali and surfing on the north shore.
We will definitely look at staying at this location on our next trip to Maui. Mahalo Joe and Karen.

It was a wonderful stay for my family and we would love to come back next time!
We were all amazed by the amount of stuff Karen and Joe provided with their property. All kinds of small appliances in the kitchen, fresh towels in the bathrooms, spacious living spaces, outdoor pool with BBQs. It was obvious that Karen and Joe know what guests need and care about the experiences the guests want.
The location is 2 minute walk away from beaches. They also had beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gears, bodyboards, and many more for the guests to enjoy their time on the beach.
We appreciate Karen and Joe letting us stay at their place during our trip.

The condo was great it was very warm when we walked in and I would just maybe suggest fixing or replacing the portable ac unit. We did not get to use most of the amenities since we didn’t read the very informational book that is left for the guests until the last day but that is ok maybe next time we will. Was very peaceful and relaxing while we were there. Was worth every Penny and then some. I would take this place over a hotel any day.

Joe and Karen’s place in Kihei was the perfect spot for our family vacation. Close to a beautiful beach for the kiddo and shopping. We really didn’t need to go far for a perfect day. My parents and I enjoyed 6 nights in this condo. Having 2 bathrooms was a major plus for getting ready along with plenty of closet space for luggage storage and hanging clothes. The condo is exactly as pictured, located on the second floor (ground/parking, first, second & third for a total of 4 levels) but only one door away from the elevator and stairs which we found convenient. We never had to wait on the elevator for more than 10 seconds. The living room is huge and the wifi worked great. The condo is directly across the street from Kam III white sand beach and it was easy to walk across for sunset since we were out and about most days elsewhere on the island. Kihei has lots of restaurants, bars, and some fast food options nearby but going up the street instead of the main drag takes you to the highway to avoid the traffic at peak times. The condo has an outdoor shower with foot shower in between the sidewalk and the units and I would recommend using it otherwise you'll clog up the showers with sand and they won't drain properly. The kitchen is a little tight if you plan to have multiple people in there cooking a full meal (though it's equipped to do so) but for a vacation where you plan to heat up things in the microwave or make coffee, it's perfect. The patio is large but we couldn't quite figure out how to lock the patio doors. The washing machine is small but serviceable. There is no central air (very common in Hawaii) but there are several fans and room ac units that keep you comfortably cool. And most importantly our hosts provided us with lots of information before our arrival, including detailed driving and parking instructions which came in handy. They were also responsive during our stay and included a binder of information upon arrival with all kinds of helpful tips and directions. Overall, highly recommend it if you're looking for a well-priced 2b/2ba condo across the street from a public beach in Kihei.

This condo is right across the street from Kamaole beach park 3. Great snorkeling in the mornings, we swam with several sea turtles. The condo is well stocked with everything we needed, lots of beach toys, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, beach towels, and snorkel gear.

The place was so nice! Right across from Kam lll beach. The beach was perfect for snorkeling and boogie boarding. Surprisingly spacious for a 2 bedroom condo due to extra changing rooms with each bathroom. Very well stocked will all the needed supplies for the beach. Cooler, beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkel gear, and a football were all included and in good shape. Karen was great at communicating and made us feel very welcome. The door knob broke when we were there so we couldn't get in our condo. The condo manager called a locksmith and got it fixed right away. As a thank you for our patience, Karen gave us a gift card for a local restaurant. It was all handled very well. If I return to Maui, I would definitely stay here again. The price was also reasonable. We had a family of 5, and the table was big enough for all of use either inside or on the lanai. The living room had plenty of room for us all to sit and watch TV or relax. I can't say enough good things about the place.

Beautiful condo in the heart of Kihei! Close to beaches and restaurants. The condo had everything you would need including beach chairs, boogie boards and umbrellas. Check-in was very easy and we really appreciated the welcome treat. The condo complex was very nice with a beautiful pool and BBQ area. This was my first time visiting, and this condo location was great. Close the restaurant, grocery stores and right across the street was the beach which was amazing. The pool had bbq area and everything was clean. They even had a closet with all beach gear chairs,umbrellas toys
