The Aries Chateau, located only half a block from the beach, embodies everything you could want in a South Padre Island vacation rental. With a private pool in the enclosed back yard and a grill on the porch, enjoy a vacation in privacy and comfort.

Located on the north end of town, this home is an easy walk from the restaurants and shops that South Padre Island has to offer. Heading out the front door, the walk to the ocean is less than a quarter mile. Decorated in an elegant and up-to-date fashion, the chateau welcomes guests who appreciate the finer things in life. The open living spaces encourage socialization and camaraderie, while allowing for individual simultaneous uses of the space. Sofas and chairs set up around a little table are overlooked by a flatscreen TV, complete with a DVD player. If none of the titles in the included DVD library appeal, flip through the cable channels for your favorite show. If you want to make sure you're not missing out on any news, use the wireless Internet to keep abreast of happenings in the wider world. If you're not in the mood to try one of the delicious local restaurants, the stocked kitchen offers an easy and appealing alternative to going out. Take advantage of the coffee maker and blender so everyone can enjoy their favorite beverage. With the dishwasher, you won't have to worry about quarrels over the dishes.

The dining table seats six and is right next to the kitchen for convenience. If you'd rather, dine outside for fresh air and proximity to the grill. On the main floor of the house, two well-appointed bedrooms feature lovely dark wood furniture and a calmingly neutral color scheme. Both the king bed in the master bedroom and the queen in the second bedroom face flatscreen TVs, and the master bedroom has its own private balcony. Upstairs in the open loft are two more beds, so a total of 10 guests can enjoy the home as long as six don't mind a slumber-party atmosphere. In keeping with that theme, there's a fourth TV in the corner of the loft. Two bathrooms mean that shower time can be a more leisurely affair, and with a washer and dryer you can feel free to pack light.

If you can tear yourself away from your private paradise, there are plentiful entertainment options to explore. Seafarers can choose between scuba diving and surfing, or push their comfort zones a bit and try out parasailing. For land-based fun, Clayton's Beach Bar & Grill offers regular Sandcastle Days with live music, workshops, and an Amateur Sand Sculpture Contest. Enjoyed being at close proximity to the beach access and gas station. The entry to the beach house was tight along the side of the house and a few stairs to climb up. Just a heads up, in case you need to carry up ice chest and luggage. We had an issue with the dryer that is located in the garage, but Vacasa squared it away by having a technician come out within a day. The pool was nice and warm. It's a cozy spot overall!

Located close to beach. House had all amenities one could need. Beds were very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to South Padre.

We loved having the pool area. We had a great week here. Inside was clean and beds were comfy for us. The outside needs maintenance in lots of areas. Was close to beach and wanna wanna.

This was a lovely property, the pool was great after a day at the beach. Some updates could be made to the property but overall it was amazing.

The kids enjoyed the pool, loft, and walking distance to the beach. There is plenty of parking for two large trucks and a smaller car behind it
