About this apartment rental
We hope you enjoy our mountain retreat as much as we do. Our mountain get-away is in the neighborhood of Wildernest in Silverthorne, CO nestled near the top of Buffalo Mountain. This locals neighborhood is quiet and peaceful but it is just a 15 minute drive to multiple ski resorts. Come and see what draws us all to the mountains. Our home is clean and spacious. The spiral staircase to the loft and sky lights give the space an airy feel. Our condo property is one of only three in the area with a pool and hot tub. If you love fly fishing, the award winning Blue River is at the base of Buffalo mountain and you will often see fly fishing in action during the summer. If you love winter then Summit County is calling your name with the award winning winter sports. If you love shopping, there are many high end outlet malls at the base of Buffalo mountain as well. There is something for everyone here.
SETTING THE STAGE:
If you are not from Colorado you may not know the lay of the land. Allow us to introduce you! Our home is located in Summit County most famously known for mountain towns that carry different names but are really more like sprawling suburbs. Silverthorne, Dillon, Keystone, and Frisco make up the largest geography. Breckenridge is located ten minutes South of Frisco. Vail is located twenty-five minutes West of Frisco over Vail Pass. If you would like to ski on multiple mountains Silverthorne, Dillon and Keystone are the best locations to rent. These lively towns are also packed with restaurants, pubs, and shopping.
WINTER RUNDOWN: There is a FREE Summit Stage local bus in Silverthorne that takes people to Keystone, Frisco, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain. It stops just outside our door. Of course you want to come to the mountains in the winter! KEYSTONE 10 miles: Keystone is a popular resort with a charming ski town and wonderful little back bowls. It has a large terrain park and many twists and turns to its runs. COPPER 14 miles: Copper is a quiet family friendly mountain with fewer tourists. LOVELAND 14 miles: Loveland is often peppered with young families teaching their children how to ski or board. A-BASIN 15 miles: A-Basin is considered a locals mountain with snow boarders galore. It has a Rastafarian feel and a young crowd. BRECKENRIDGE 18 miles: Breckenridge is a classic resort. It has many long wide runs and is a long time tourist favorite. VAIL 33 miles: Vail is a posh resort tucked 25 minutes West of Summit County and home to the best back bowls anyone could every hope to ski or board. Vail village is a sprawling little town full of high end shopping, restaurants and pubs. BEAVER CREEK 45 miles: Beaver Creek is a charming posh resort another 15 minutes West of Vail. - If winter resorts don't suite your fancy, there is winter tubing, ice skating, or shopping minutes away. We love to hike in the winter so put on your boots and drive up Buffalo mountain two minutes to find many trail heads. There is also a charming trail that runs through the ravine right out our back doorstep!
SUMMER TIME: We love summer almost more than winter in Summit County. Dillon has a beautiful marina ten minutes away where you can go sailing and paddle boarding. You can also find yourself rafting down Colorado rivers but keep in mind this is best during June to mid August when the river water is warmer. Attend concerts or local shows at the Dillon Amphitheater. Many ski towns and resorts put on concerts in the summer. Hiking and mountain biking trails are everywhere! There is nothing like the smell of fresh pine in the summer!
A WORD ABOUT ALTITUDE: Our condo is located ~9,600 feet above sea level on Buffalo Mountain in Silverthorne, CO. This is 1000 ft above the city elevation. Some people may experience mild altitude sickness for the first day which may include headache and fatigue if coming from sea level . Stay well hydrated! Yes, drink one glass of water every two hours. Altitude will amplify the effects of alcohol as well as hangovers. The treatment for all altitude sickness is to descend to lower altitude if you continue to feel worse.
We are excited to hear from you. Let us know if you have any further questions.

The hosts were incredibly communicative and helpful. Amazing space for a group of people, well maintained.

The place is nicely laid out for hanging out, playing games, and eating - but also allows separation. It's filled with everything you'd need. The owners are on top of everything with communication, and very nice. We'd definitely stay there again!

Lucy and Matt's fantastic property was clean, roomy, and only 20 min from where we spent an afternoon golfing. The multiple bunks and separate bedrooms in the unit fit our group of 7 adults perfectly, and we loved spending time at the clubhouse. We couldn't have asked for more responsive hosts and would stay at this condo again anytime of the year in a heartbeat!

The condo was huge. Everyone felt like they had their own space.

We had a wonderful stay. The loft is bright and cheery with skylights and windows to watch the snow fall on the pine trees outside. Our kids who don’t like sharing a room loved sharing the upstairs loft which includes two queen bunk beds separated by a curtain. There is an extra bedroom with door upstairs as well which my husband used for exercising. The kitchen was well stocked. Thanks for everything!

The condo was perfect for our family. It was tastefully decorated and had plenty of space for all 5 of us. Beds were very comfortably and the views were breathtaking. There was an extra beverage fridge which was nice. The pool and hot tub were great as well. We will definitely be back.

We had a group of 6 guys age 19-64 and had plenty of room. The kitchen was a good size, the TV room had comfortable seating and there ae plenty of nice, large beds. The hosts answered questions quickly but the pre-visit instructions really answered most questions. We were near some great skiing and good restaurants and the hot tub and sauna were welcome retreats after a long day on the slopes. We did not expect to be cooking as much as we did, but the kitchen was a great layout for us. And the parking lot was huge. Easily could have brought 4 cars and found plenty of spaces available. Hoping to be back here again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay in Silverthorne, CO. The condo had plenty of room for my husband and our 3 girls. I felt at home and had everything I needed. My husband was training for a mountain bike race and had easy access to trails to ride. We usually saw a deer or 2 in the morning with our coffee. Would love to stay here again.

Exactly what we needed
Perfect place and exactly what we needed for our family and friends. Would definitely stay again if I needed a large space with plenty of sleeping options.

Great place for large group.
This was a place with enough beds for 12-14 maybe even up to 16 if you're sharing all the double, queen, king and single beds. Comfortable beds. An upstairs bed room and large loft. 2 main level bed rooms. A kitchen and dining area with a raised counter with enough chairs for 12 and room in the living room area for more. Open concept main floor. Nice entry with lots of mat room for ski and snow boots. A small glitch when we arrived that the owner/manager, who was very responsive, friendly and helpful, and had it taken care of the next morning. Matt was great. And a very important point was lots of parking. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. This is a very affordable place for a group our size.A big THANK YOU to the Owner/Manager, Matt and his partner.

Guys Trip 2022
We have a group of guys that do annual ski trips, have stayed all over. This property was perfect for a group of 9 guys, everyone had their own bed. The property was clean and provided all the items needed for a home away. Matt communicated with us before and during the trip. We will be back ! only items I would caution is Hot tub/pool building (which is very nice), is a little longer walk than thought it would be.

Ideal for our group!
The condo had everything we needed to accommodate 8 adult guests for a ski trip weekend. Access to the nearby clubhouse, clean showers, comfortable beds, and a full kitchen provided the ideal home base for some fun on the slopes!

Ski trip to copper mountain
Condo in silver throne with all required amenities. Hot tub, swim pool and club house is cherry on top.
Outlet malls near by, all ski areas near by.
We liked the bunk beds with relatively firm beds that we prefer.
As mentioned in check in, the entry door touch pad could take some time to start but it works. Vaccum in lower bed room needs fixing.
Overall excellent experience
