The cabin was very clean & there was plenty of space for our group of 10 people ranging from ages 5-75. The kids enjoyed the basketball goal, badminton net, hot tub and fire pit for s'mores . Good access to the get in the river & appreciated having the tubes, kayaks, & canoes available for our use. Was surprised at how long it took to access the cabin from the main road/gate. We booked a cabin at the river to avoid mountainous roads, so it was disappointing that the drive in the neighborhood had a lot of hills and sharp curves, and that the driveway to the cabin very steep. But the sound of the water rushing in the river was very pleasant once you arrived.

This was our group's eighth year at Riverstone Lodge and it's just as wonderful as ever. The location on the river is unbeatable. We look forward to coming back next year!

Painting a mental picture of this property is impossible, and the pictures on the listing truly do not do this location justice! Woke up to deer in the yard every morning while sipping my coffee on the swing. The activities are endless, but kayaking was a favorite for our group! Everything we needed was on the property from tubes, to kayaks, to canoes! You have never felt more at peace than when you are kayaking next to deer and the sounds of the river. We were able to easily cook for our group of 13 and enjoy movie nights together! When it rained the kids enjoyed ping pong, foosball, and pool, also in the home! We WILL most definitely be returning next year!

We stayed with a group of our students from church for a summer retreat. There was plenty of space and the property was clean. The river was fantastic as well! Good places to swim right behind the cabin. We also brought tubes and did the 3.5 hour tube trip back to the cabin. The driveway is VERY steep. We had a problem scraping the back of our church van. In the end it was fine. We parked at the bottom of the hill. We would stay again!

We had a fabulous time in Georgia staying on the Coosewatte. So much to do at the property and in the area. We had three families in the house with a mix of older teens and kids. Everyone had enough space to sleep and have fun! We loved tubing, fishing, and volleyball the most. Great stay!

We were 9 guys on a guys trip and wow what a fantastic cabin nestled in the bottom of a beautiful mountain resting on the Coosawattee River. The home was clean and perfect, plenty of room to spread out with a lot of beds. The pictures truly don't do the home justice as It looks so much better in person. Just a short trip to town for good dining, shopping and many activities. We did paint ball in Blue Ridge at Blue Ridge Paint Ball which was very fun. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary cookware, clean bed sheets, nice clean towels, etc. Cell service is not that great here however the WIFI worked well with all 9 of our phones plus the TVs and other WIFI capable technology on property. We hope to be back one day!

We rented both lodges for our group. Everything was perfect! We came here last year and enjoyed it so much that we rented the sister cabins again.
Sarah and Ian are great hosts, easy to communicate with, and very helpful with any additional questions and requests. We highly recommend Riverstone and Rocky River Lodge.

We enjoyed the Riverside Lodge. It was spacious and had a great view of the river. I would recommend following the instructions the owners give to access the lodge. It is a much easier mountain ride. The driveway is steep and scary at first, but definitely doable. We had SUVs and sedans and all could go in and out of the driveway with no problem. We enjoyed the kayaks, pool, ping pong, puzzles, and basketball court. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. We were able to watch the football and baseball games. A helpful tip….To make the shower work on the main floor and basement, you pull down from the knob where the water comes out. We had three families with three children ages 14, 15, and 2 and everyone enjoyed the cabin. We built outdoor and indoor fires. It was a wonderful trip. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

This was the most amazing place. We brought our high school summer baseball team and they still have not stopped talking about this place and how much fun they had. So much to do and entertain. Being in the river was so incredible. We just sat out by the river and enjoyed every minute of our stay. It’s so big we never felt on top of each other either. Thank you very much!!!

house was clean, it is smaller than what pictures show, grill would not work, so we tried to call the numbers listed, and no one answered either of the numbers to call, had it been a real problem not sure what we would have done. my main dislike was the signs posted all over the house (inside and out) made it feel like a youth detention center, not a relaxing mountain get away. The most appalling signs were the ones on every toilet lid in the house. I mean, you have to be an adult to rent the property, please have a little respect for your guest. I rented the house for our trip, and i was embarrassed by the stickers. also take Tp with you, when they say limited, them mean what is left when others leave, we barley had enough for the first day and only had 10 people. drive from gate to house was long, so no quick trips to town. one nest chair on top deck needs replaced, and some other stuff was very worn out, also wound be nice to have some bowls with lids in the kitchen and some knives that are sharp. but the river and the hot tub and game room were very nice. all in all we had a nice time at the house.

Great property. Beautiful set up. The book is outdated on how to get internet. Need some new basketballs and pool stick tips. Little unnerving about all the signs on how to lose your deposit everywhere. But overall after the internet problem was fixed it was a great rental!

My family absolutely loved this cabin and the Riverside setting! Plenty of room for kids to run and play, along with convenient porches/balconies to observe the family fun and locksmith scenery. The peaceful sound of the rising river was also a family favorite!

The owners are very friendly and reaponsive to our questions. The cabin was the perfect size for our family which was 7 adults and 4 kids 4 and under… The wood burning fireplace was a great asset to this cabin… we had a fire almost the entire time we were there… The tv in the great room was kind of small and had limited channel viewing wish we could have viewed netflix there but we had to watch it in the master bedroom. The windows had many little handprints on inside and spiderwebs on the outside which we understand. There were many dead bugs in the dining room glass light shade. The showers were great and the beds slept fantastic. Ian was very helpful when we had issues trying to get in at the guard shack. Loved the swinging bed out on the porch. Great for enjoying the river sounds and reading.. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and made many a meal in the cabin. We even grilled numerous times. We would rent this property again.

Beautiful view of the river- beds were extremely comfortable & hot tub was very clean. We especially loved the fire pit by the river and the boats provided to use on the river. You can drive about 10 minutes up the road to put in kayaks, then float back to the cabin. Gorgeous trip and the shoals make it interesting. Plenty of space for everybody!

We rented both cabins for a church retreat. It was a perfect place for our group. Each cabin is spacious and has for the most part all you need to cook your own meals. The driveways are steep indeed as described but all our vehicles made it back up without problems. We hope to return next year.

We had 12 of us stay at this awesome cabin! We had more than enough room for everyone and with all of the activities they had at the cabin we always had something to do. If we come back to the area I will for sure stay here again.

This is a beautiful place, especially if you have a large family. There's definitely enough room for everyone. The driveway is a little bit difficult, especially after rain but we managed it all was fine. I definitely would be aware if you're not an experience tuber or kayaker. The river is a difficult one. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. The property owner was fantastic to deal with and the location is great and my family thoroughly enjoyed their long weekend here. Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your property!

We had a wonderful time at Riverstone Lodge! Owners were great, and when they realized we didn't have kitchen rags, we were brought some. We loved all the things there were to do right there at the lodge.

Our group of high school buddies just got back from our sixth straight reunion/trip to Riverstone Lodge. The property was great as always--kitchen, living area, balconies, and riverfront. There is now very fast wifi that is new this year, which greatly enhanced the experience for those who needed to do some work on their computers.
Our group tubed the Coosawattee from the Villa Dr/Beaver Creek Road put-in a few miles upriver from the lodge. It is about a 2.5 hour float down to the lodge and is highly recommended.
We will be back!

Wonderful cabin on the river with everything you can ask for
We’ve been renting various cabins in the Georgia mountains for the past few years, and this was definitely our favorite! Can’t beat the location on the Coosawatee river, which the kids really enjoyed playing in. Plenty of room for everyone and lots of activities to keep everyone busy. Note that the driveway is quite steep, but it is paved so that helps. The owners were great communicators and helped immediately when we had an issue on check in due to a blackout that had occurred earlier in the day arising from some work the power company was doing in the area. The only blip was that we arrived to a note from housekeeping saying that the electricity was out when they were there and they had to sweep instead of vacuuming and to clean partly in the dark, which showed. This was not the owner’s fault but kept me from giving five stars for cleanliness, which I’m sure I normally could have given, giving how wonderful everything else was and how conscientious the owners were. Would definitely rent this cabin again.
