Upscale decor with a casual feel. Huge sundeck off master bedroom, huge covered deck off great room, 2 more decks off the back.
Main living area on 2nd floor includes den, kitchen, pub table w/6 chairs,4 barstools, covered deck with table and 6 chairs, 1/2 bath and master king bedroom with private newly remodeled bathroom. Third floor has another king master bedroom with private bath and large sunning deck, 4 bunk beds for the kids, twins in last room, shared bathroom, laundry room. Ground floor has large foyer with lots of hooks for the beach towels, 5th bdrm/den w/Queen size pull-down Murphy Bed and full bath. Private patio off double doors. We just had an amazing vacation in this rental in Kure Beach. The location is great. Right across from the beach plus walking distance to the pier and restaurants. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We had 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 9 to 11). So the bunk room was great. So was the 1st floor room w the couch for the kids to go watch tv for down time after the beach. Having 2 masters w king beds was also great!!! The beds were also comfortable, something we have struggled with in other rentals. Grill was a plus and in good shape. Appreciated the ample beach chairs and wagons in the garage. It was all in good shape too! Communication with the owner was top notch. One of the best places we’ve stayed at in this general area and we’ve been coming here for 10 years. Can’t wait to go back!

The house location is excellent - just a half block to the beach and 2 blocks to the pier and restaurants.
The house had a great amount of space. Plenty of room for our party of 4 adults and 6 young adults/teens. Kitchen was well-appointed which made cooking dinners for our group a breeze. The gas grill was super helpful to have as well.
I was impressed with the cleanliness of the house and how well stocked it was. The garage of beach items was amazing! Our kids enjoyed trying the skim boards.
We ran into a few issues, but the very addressed and corrected so quickly by the owners. Their communication was awesome. We truly felt like guests in their home.
Kure Beach has become a favorite destination for our family, and we hope to return soon!

We love this property because of it's location, size, and amenities. This year was the best yet! The owner is responsive and helpful if you need anything, but most of the time we dont need a thing. Thats part of the appeal, everything is included and we really appreciate it. We will be back for our 11th time!

It’s better than the pictures and description! You are only a block away from the water/ beach and you have a spectacular view from both of the front balconies. Lea Anne was helpful and easy to communicate with from the start of our reservation to the end of our trip. We had 4 adults plus 4 kids and we had plenty of space and comfort. The home is very well stocked and well taken care of too.
We plan on coming back next year.

Looking for a rental for a father and son fishing trip a couple of years ago and I found Happy Ours. This was the perfect setup for our group of 12. The condo was clean, updated, and had all the amenities needed for a great vacation. The owners were super nice and communication was superb. This was the go to choice for our trip this year. My family had a wonderful time in this lovely five bedroom property at Kure Beach. The owner was quite responsive when we had a minor glitch with the refrigerator. Our family gets together at the beach biennially, and this is our favorite beach house so far! Lea Anne and Scott have created a homey atmosphere for spending time together, relaxing, and making memories. The house is warmly decorated, super clean, organized, and comfortable. It includes all of the kitchen amenities you might need, and tons of beach/vacation amenities, too- chairs, boogie boards, carts to haul them in. There are bicycles, and a very nice gas grill, too!
This was our first time not being directly on the beach, which we thought we would miss, but this wonderful house and location easily made up for the few extra steps it took to put our feet in the sand, and the deck not only provides a great view to the ocean, but it’s fun to watch vacationers passing by along the street, too. We walked to get ice cream, dinner, and to do our traditional family t-shirt shopping spree. The Kure pier area is not loud or crowded, but it has just enough to offer that you could park and never leave/drive (or have to find and pay for parking!) for your full vacation. We really loved this house, location, and the hosts. All three: FIVE STARS!

Stayed at Happy Ours September 24-October 1. Couldn’t have been more happy with the beautiful condo. Plenty of room for all four adult couples. The condo was very clean and well stocked. We flew in and needed to purchase very little.
A short half block walk to a beautiful beach. Owners provided all the chairs, wagons and beach supplies we needed. The beach itself is beautiful, clean, and uncrowded. We were totally able to relax and unwind. A short walk to some very good restaurants and bars.
Hurricane Ian came in on Thursday-Friday of our stay. That was an experience for people from Wisconsin. 😁. Owner Lea Anne was amazing staying in contact with us throughout the storm. Saturday morning was beautiful again.

This is our third time staying in Kure Beach. Each time we stayed here at Lea Anne’s Happy Ours and for good reason! First of all, location! It is a block to the beach and very close to the pier where fishing was the highlight for some of our crew! We saw so many unique sea creatures from sting rays to flounder! The beach was clean and the boardwalk was beautiful for sunrises! It was also about 30 minutes to Wilmington and about 5 minutes the ferry to go to Southport! Secondly, the place is huge and immaculate! It easily housed 9 people with room to spare! Plenty of bathroom space for all as well. There was a good variety of kitchen supplies provided, so making our own meals was very convenient. We had an issue with the air conditioning going out upstairs and within the hour Lea Anne had someone over to repair it! We were able to sleep in comfort thanks to her quick response. A few of us are coming back with a new crew over Thanksgiving., and we rebooked with this bunch again for next September. It is such an amazing place!

We've stayed in this same property multiple times and it is great. Location is the best, half a block from the beach, with a view of the ocean. You are able to walk to several restaurants and the pier. The house is spacious and filled with light. It has everything a guest could need. Communication is great with Lea Anne.

We traveled 4 hrs to the house arriving promptly at 4 PM , only to find the cleaning crew still onsite. I noticed one one the cleaning ladies sitting on a inside bench playing on her phone. Not good. We had a baby who needed attention. Unfortunately we had to sit in our vehicles until 450 pm when the cleaning crew finally departed. It was a hot week. Temperature was 95. The thermostat registered at 76 at 714pm. It was quite miserable. Only to discover after I paid in full the owner wanted us to set the thermostat at 72. She had a HVAC guy come in. He set the thermostat At 68. To cool things down. It took two days for the temp to reach 71/70. The to top it off , the third floors master bedroom had a balcony, but the door was busted so you couldn’t gain access. Again a maintenance crew came in several times interrupting our stay to fix the door. The owner continued to explain the the previous renters were very sloppy. ( not my problem ). The garage was fille with broken boards and rusty chairs. She replace the buggie boards. It was a constant interruption for three days. I waited until the last day to write this review in hopes of a small discount for our stay. But it never happened. Only to receive an apology. PS. I forgot to mention. The interruption of the bug sprayer guy on Wednesday, overall a very nice place, but too many interruptions.

Our family visited this charming home for our vacation. It was decorated beautifully and very clean. We had plenty of space for all of us. We really enjoyed the balconies and sitting outside at night. It was a very short walk to the beach and there were coffee shops, restaurants, and the pier within walking distance as well. We had two families staying at the condo. So much space for everyone. Plus, the condo has everything you need for the kids and the adults! Beach toys, bikes, beach wagon, chairs and all the amenities within the home to make it a perfect and easy vacation. We cannot recommend this place enough! Already set to come again next year!
