We had such a nice time at Beachwalk Resorts! The house was beautiful and very clean and organized when we arrived! It was the perfect space for my family of four and my parents! The house was well stocked which made cooking easy! We had our groceries delivered from a close by Walmart and that was very convenient! The house came with great beach chairs and we used them daily. The beach and all the amenities were within close range. I would suggest renting a golf cart before you get there. This house doesn’t come with one and it would have been very handy! The only downfall was that on our last night while we were enjoying our time on the porch, the owners were next door and interrupted us to ask how we liked the house. It was a little hard to enjoy the place knowing the owners were right next door. It was a little unnerving and awkward.

Had a wonderful mid-week mini-vacation stay at A Wine Down. The space was great for 4 adults, 2 little boys and a 6 month old baby. No complaints. Great location. Appreciate the large primary bedroom and bath too! The club house and all facilities were top notch too.

A Wine Down was perfect for our family. We absolutely loved the location. The interior of the house was darling and very comfortable. Our grandkids especially enjoyed staying here. Our 3-year-old grandson definitely did not want to leave. We all enjoyed the pool, the paddle boats and the close proximity to Lake Michigan.

The Purple House was just as it was described. It was stocked with everything we needed. There were 2 wagons which was very helpful in getting things to the beach. There was an issue with the refrigerator that was dealt with immediately by a very nice person.

The house is cute, but needs an update. Everything felt very worn in. The carpet upstairs needs to be changed very badly....very matted down and felt dirty. The kitchen was not cleaned well and there were ants crawling on the countertops and in the sink. The kitchen had the bare minimums (some pans with all the Teflon scratched up, a microwave that doesn’t turn, a refrigerator/freezer that doesn’t make ice and has a broken water machine, etc, etc). The porch was cute but the furniture needs some help out there. Also, make sure you bring your own pillows.

Wonderful House with Everything One Could Need
My family really enjoyed the open floor concept of the house. Everything was clean there were beach toys and chairs for use. We enjoyed the screened in porch, the balcony, the back porch, and the fire pit area. The community has so many amenities available most of which are included in your stay. We enjoyed the concert in the park on Saturday. The beach is beautiful. Definitely coming back next year!

Perfect house for our family!
This house was wonderful for our family. Very clean and kitchen was equipped for cooking meals. There were sand toys, a wagon and chairs for the beach. Only minor complaint was that the smoke detectors were very sensitive and went off almost every time we cooked. And the pool was closed 2 of the days so that was unfortunate. But we went to the beach instead so that was ok!

Wonderful home and community! We will be back!
The house is beautiful, located on a cul-de-sac. We spent much time on the screened porch and walked everywhere. While the ad may mention renting a golf cart, it's not available at this time. I'm hopeful that will change next year with more availability. The only people who had them were renters whose homes came with them. We had 2 issues with the home that weren't resolved during our stay- 1) the outside shower didn't work and 2) the water dispenser in the fridge didn't work. The 2nd was no big deal but the first made it hard to properly rinse after a day in the sand. This home is well cared for I appreciated the additional dish soap, laundry soap, etc... The community is simply magical and worth visiting. I had no idea and the pictures didn't do it justice. For me it's Cape May meets Key West. We've already booked for next year (another house).

Hidden Gem
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at A Wine Down. Our only complaint is that our stay was too short! We loved the proximity to the beach & pool. The screened in porch was perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the morning. The kids loved the bunk bed room. The house was very clean & comfortable. It was our first visit to the Beachwalk community and we’ll be back!

Relaxing, conveniently located weekend
I rented this property over a long weekend with a group of girlfriends - Although I’ve stayed in this community in the past and come back for obvious reasons. We love the quaint neighborhood, quiet mornings, convenient coffee/ice cream shop and Lake Michigan beach all less than a 5 minute walk away! We found a few great dinner, drinks and live music options in Michigan City and New Buffalo, all 5-15 minute drive away!
The house was cleanly and quiet, and equipped with everything we needed - Kitchen supplies, beach chairs, hairdryers, etc. We’d definitely stay again!

A Wine Down is a wonderful house with great decor and amenities. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking needs. The beds are very comfortable as well. The use of the paddle boards and kayaks was awesome. Just make sure to sign up in the morning so you get a time. The pool was never overcrowded and the snack shack was very handy (and had very friendly staff)! I would highly recommend this rental. The staff in the office was also very helpful and friendly.

We loved our stay at Beachwalk Resort! Our stay at A Wine Down was perfect for our family. We had plenty of room and all that we needed. Everything was within walking distance, including the boardwalk over to Lake Michigan. We did spend a day at Indiana Dunes State Park. We love the Dunes. It’s about a 20 minute drive from the resort. We got take out at Cool Runnings, a Jamaican restaurant. We loved it! Michigan City is a beautiful location on Lake Michigan and we hope to return for a stay at Beachwalk Resort in the future!
