About this house rental

Expansive four bedroom home with two full baths and a large outdoor shower. A kitchen / living room that opens into a screened in front porch with two hammocks. A large deck runs the width of the back of the house.
Our house is located on a block with beach access, one block East of the ferry dock– convenient to the shops restaurants, and the beach.

The house was built in 1908 and has been owned by my family since 1970. It is charming, very clean, and has all amenities; you don't need to bring a thing. Just come and enjoy your vacation.

Upstairs;
The master bedroom is larger than most NYC apartments; with a kind size bed, a dressing area with a large skylight, and a beautiful porch with two day beds, a flat screen tv , ceiling fans and large roll down windows facing north, south and west. Soft, super clean, quality bedding is on all beds. This is my favorite place in the house to take a nap, enjoy the breeze listen to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach.

The second upstairs bedroom has two full beds, and the third upstairs bedroom has a set of twins. Both bedrooms have two exposures, soft, clean bedding, ceiling fans and flat screen televisions. There are lace curtains on all of the windows, including the upstairs bathroom, which offers a bath tub and a shower.

Downstairs;
The fourth bedroom is downstairs and has a set of twin beds, soft clean bedding, two exposures and a flat screen television. There is a second bathroom downstairs which offers another shower, and can be entered from inside or outside of the house.

The kitchen/living/dining room is open and airy – and perfect for entertaining. The kitchen is stocked with anything and everything you could need, and in multiple sizes. There are enough utensils, cups & plates for 12 people. Everything you need is at your fingertips. There are multiple ceiling fans, and all of the lights are on dimmers. There is a flat screen television in the living room.

The inside dining table seats eight people, and should you want to dine al fresco; head to the back deck!

The back deck is large and private with a large Weber BBQ, dining table for six, chaise lounges, chairs with ottomans and stategically placed cocktail tables to hold your glass of rose' or lemonade.
The crowning jewel of the deck is the beautiful outdoor shower; it is open air and very large. It has a built in bench, many shelves and plenty of room to store all of your bathing essentials.

After a long day at the beach head to the screened-in front porch to bask in the late afternoon sun. There is another dining table that seats four, and two perfectly placed hammocks where you can recharge your batteries while enjoying the breeze, and the sound of the waves crashing on the shoreline.

The house is equipped with a large sturdy wagon, several beach chairs & beach umbrellas, boogie boards and plenty of beach towels, There are also four bicycles, including a trike useful for shopping in town and carrying packages.

Our house is the place where our family spends time together, and creates ever lasting Fire Island memories. We want you to enjoy it as much as we do! Should you need anything during your stay, or have any questions.. we are just a phone call away.

The members of my family who stayed in the house had a wonderful time. The house had enough rooms and beds to comfortably house the two families. The location was excellent! Close to the beach and equipped with bikes, beach chairs, towels, umbrellas! Everything we needed. Thanks for a great time!

We loved our stay, with lots of space for 8 adults and everything we needed for a week of beaching, grilling, and watching the Olympics in the evening. The house dates to at least 1908 (there's a framed old photo of it on the wall, so cool!) and it's lovely to stay in a place that has welcomed so many generations of beachgoers. Greg was very communicative and helpful with any questions.

We had a great stay at the house. It is so close to the beach and the homeowner is so friendly and responsive. He checked in several times during our stay and was always quick to respond to any questions. The home is a bit older but very clean, has tons of space, and very comfortable beds.

My wife and rented this property for the month of August through Labor Day and loved it. It was the perfect beach cottage with plenty of room for our family and friends. A short walk to the beach or to town so the location is ideal. Greg is a great host and we would definitely rent the property again.

Property reminded me of the bungalow I used to stay at with my aunt and uncle as a kid. Although a bit weathered, there was plenty of room, a zillion towels and electric outlets. The best part for me was the short walk to the beach!!!

House has charm. But very rustic. Cleanliness is questionable. Stains on the bedding. Downstairs bedroom smelled odd ( like body odor) .Everything was old, but again with some charm. Downstairs bathroom's shower is too gross to use. Location is great. Back deck is dangerous and not structurally sound. Brought these issues to the owner's (Greg's) attention. He said he would resolve the issue for future tenants and I should have brought the issues to his attention earlier in the stay. Maybe I should have. But Greg also never checked in with us during our stay. Hopefully Greg resolves these issues.

This place was such a perfect house for our family. Steps to the beach, quiet, and had everything we needed! Great for kids and adults alike. Tons of towels and true old fire island charm. Greg was also an INCREDIBLE host - going above and beyond!!! When a beach umbrella was broken- he had a brand new one delivered to the house that day! Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect beach house in fabulous location, just a few steps from beach. House is charming and full of fun stuff for both kids and adults. We utilized everything available during our week - bikes, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, wagons, books, games, bbq, outdoor shower. Kitchen is beyond well equipped with everything you need if you plan to cook your own meals. Greg (owner) was easily accessible and accommodating. Thank you for a memorable week.

I could not be more pleased with my experience. Greg and Allison really did think of everything with this house. It’s the perfect beach house and has everything you need. Greg and Allison were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. I will hopefully be coming back to this house next year. Insiders tip: if you are traveling with a group call dibs on the master bedroom ASAP.
