About this apartment rental
The Navigator´s Nook apartment sits on the coast of Chile overlooking the Pacific Ocean with views of the Coastal and Andes Mts. Playa La Boca and the Aconcagua River. Located in in the town of Con Con. Neighboring cities include Viña del Mar and Valparaiso. Access to the area either in your own car or by public transportation is quite efficient and easy.
The Nook is very clean and secure.
The kitchen is well equipped.
The Nook has high quality Cable TV and Wi Fi.
Towels and linens are provided. There is one parking spot.
All apartments now have access to a new stairway down to Avenida Borgona, the new coastal walkway, bike path and La Playa La Boca.
There are two levels. The first is at street level and includes a half bath, Kitchen and living dinning area. There is a small deck. The lower lever is access by a circular stairway. There is the master bedroom with a comfortable king sized bed. The master bath has a shower and bathtub. There is a large deck off the bedroom.
Apartment is very well insulated, with a northern exposure taking advantage of passive solar energy that keeps it cool in summer and warmer in winter.
There is also access to a garden area.
The Nook is a excellent apartment for either using as a base and traveling the area o just hanging out on the deck, watching the Ocean and beach and enjoying the day with a glass of fine Chilean wine or beer and maybe an Asado (BBQ).
Con Con has been a small fishing village since it's foundation in 1542. It has grown in the past years to become a small city yet it still maintains it's small town attitude and style in most areas. There are many possibilities for practicing different sports or going on different outings. Due to it's location it has access to the whole coast, the inland agricultural sector, and the Coastal and Andes Mountains. All within a days reach or less.
La Boca beach and the Aconcagua river outlet and estuary are a short walk. The area has great surfing and other aquatic sports. There are horses for rent at the beach.
There are many restaurants in Con Con. Being a coastal town the majority of restaurants specialize in seafood. Just down the hill there are many places that serve Chilean empanadas, a favorite with the natives.
Viña del Mar is a short distance by car or bus. It´s become a very International cosmopolitan city with big shopping centers, hotels and restaurants. There are also some nice walks along the beach and coast.
Valparaiso is just beyond Viña to the south. It´s a UNESCO World heritage City with many historical buildings, nooks and crannies and museums to explore.
We are close to two major wine growing areas. The Casablanca Valley and the Aconcagua Valley. Casablanca has numerous wineries and restaurants for tasting and grommet food.
La Campaña National Park is located inland, with good hikes and climbs.
Cachagua and Zapallar are beautiful beaches just up the coast to the north.
Most people that stay here agree that those are nice places to explore but they like getting out of the bigger more crowed cities of Viña and Valparaiso and getting back to their home away here in Con Con.
The Nook rents as a Vacation Rental but can also be rented for longer term. Please inquire for prices and information.

Con Con Considerations
The location and the view were very nice. Surprised on how much fog was there, only two sunny days. But you travel a couple miles inland and it is all gone. The host was very accommodating. We might not return to Con Con, but if we do, we would stay here again. Thanks....

Beautiful apartment!
My husband and I stayed here for a few nights on our honeymoon and it was beautiful! It is an older building and some of the dishes were a bit dirty, but it had the perfect amount of space and incredible views of the beach from both upstairs and downstairs. Very close to a lot of restaurants and a very cool surf town, and it was great to have a parking spot for our rental car. Would definitely recommend!

Great location and view
While there are a few bits that can be upgraded/fixed, we had a great time and would recommend the spot. Location is perfect, the vibe of the town is great, the view beats it all...and also very safe.

Perfect Coastal Location
Staying at the Navigator's Nook in Concon was a perfect location to enjoy local beach and surrounding areas. The view overlooking the beach, close proximity to other beaches, Valparaiso, Vina del Mar and short walking distance into town was ideal. The owner, Mark was there to greet us with info for local places to shop and other sights nearby. It was a great place to stay as our first stop in Chile!

If youre looking for a perfect place to enjoy the Chilean coast, The Navigators Nook is a great choice. Mark and Pamela were delightful hosts, helpful in every way. We loved looking out over the sea whether it was from the first or second floor balconies. The sound of the waves were the perfect way to start and end the day. It is well located, just a short walk down the hill and youre on the beach. Grocery stores were nearby, the local market sells delicious local fruits and vegetables. We visited the Case Blanca and Aconcagua wine valleys, which were about one to two hours away by car. Shower had plenty of hot water, the bed was firm, the kitchen had gas stove and roomy refrigerator. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our five night stay at the Nook. The view from every room, window and deck is outstanding! My wife and I were looking for a quiet spot to relax after travelling in South America for two months, and this place was perfect. We could relax on the decks and watch the surfers and the beach, and yet Concon is just around the corner from a spectacular 45 minute local bus ride along the Pacific to both Vina deal Mar and Valparaiso that costs less than $2 per person. Nice restaurants and friendly people.Mark and Pamela were very helpful, particularly in taking care of a few issues on our arrival (the coffee maker and the hot water initially didnt work - but they were immediately replaced or repaired), and in orienting us to Concon. The Nooks location is unbeatable, on the cliff right above the south end of the beach, with an uninterrupted view. There is a farmers market about ten minutes away that is open on Wednesday and Saturday, a supermarket, panateria and everything else available within a ten minute walk. The only thing that makes this a four star rather than a five star rating is that the place could use a bit of TLC. The faucets are loose and hard to turn off, some of the lights were burned out, some of the kitchen cupboards were loose on their hinges, and things like the Venetian blinds were pretty dusty, but for us these didnt offset our enjoyment of this great little hideaway! We loved it and would definitely recommend it for people who want to chill in a beautiful Chilean beachside town?

Amazing Place, Amazing Owner
The place has an amazing Balcony. There's nothing better for the price/quality. The owner, Mark is a cool californian entrepreneur, thus we really got along. Near grocery stores, and little restaurants. Near Surf Shops, and Valparaiso and Vina Del Mar which are full of activities. Would definetly recommend.

Concon apartment
This apartment is probably best suited for budget travelers who want to be close to Concon. Great view and breezes. Owner is friendly, easy walk to beach. Neighborhood is safe (though we had a bag stolen from our locked car at a nearby overlook) and the kitchen contains essential cutlery, pots, pans etc. Biggest complaint is that the apt is tired and could use a good clean.

Perfect Location for Chilean Coast Exploration
This was our first trip to Chile and our first place to stay after landing in Santiago. It was a great learning experience to arrive in a country with little language skills and get out to Con Con via bus to Vina Del Mar and then a taxi to the Navigators Nook. The place was clean, secure and just as advertised. Mark the owner/manager arranged for our arrival and was extremely informative about the sights, sounds and history of Chile as well as the area. We loved the decks overlooking the beach and the short walk to the downtown Con Con area or to the Bus Station.
This location was away from the hustle and bustle of Vina Del Mar and Valparaiso, but close enough to catch the bus for a short, exhilarating and economical trips into those cities for exploration and shopping. We visited Pablo Neruda's house in Valparaiso as well as the museums and immersed ourselves in the Chilean Beach culture. We also shopped in Vina Del Mar and ate at many restaurants and bars with historical significance.
During our 8 day stay in the area we also ate at the local empanada establishments (Las Delicious for one) and some fine dining without taking a taxi.
We will definitely return to Chile and stay in the Navigators Nook and recommend that you do the same. Loved it.

Quiet surroundings and spectacular view
This vacation rental was exactly as shown and described in the website. The property was very clean, maintained and equipped with everything necessary for our visit. The owner was very helpful and provided lots of insider tips. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends and relatives. We enjoyed this nice little restaurant very close by and were able to get around using local transportation.

clean convenient location with a nice beach view
We found the place clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the beach. The kitchen was nice along with the extra bathroom. The town overall did not offer much concerning good restaurants and shopping, however the location of the apartment to other places made it worthwhile. The beach itself was okay but again offered water sports like surfing and a busy but relaxed atmosphere. The owner was great to deal with and very helpful.

Even better than the pics!!
We loved our stay here and felt very comfortable and at home. Thanks Mark! The views from every room were just incredible and being lulled to sleep by the ocean every night was a dream. If we come back to Chile we will definitely stay here again!

Magnificent View of the Pacific
Stayed at the Navigator's Nook for 4 nights upon arrival in Chile and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The suite was very comfortable and owner very helpful. The view of the ocean , the beach and mountains is outstanding. Markets, restaurants and lovely walks nearby. Used as a base to explore the region, including incredible drive into the Aconcagua Valley...you can actually see the America's highest peak from the Balcony although it is 70 km away in Argentina. Highly recommend this as a base for exploring the central coast and to just chill out comfortably.

Fantastic Accomendations & Awesome Host
Everything was way beyond what we expected! The view was gorgeous morning to night. Mark was the best Host, with giving us information, setting us up with heat, allowing us to use washer/dryer utilities, and just overall wonderful! We felt like we were home. Especially the king size bed on lower floor!
Thanks Mark for making our week in Con Con Bay so enjoyable!

Better than you can imagine
My childhood friend and I spent two lovely days in Con Con at this beautiful property. The place is immaculate, beautifully finished. The views from the two decks are amazing, and we spent several hours looking (and laughing) at the surfers waiting for good waves :-)
Con Con is a short drive to Vina del Mar and Valparaiso, and many other wonderful coastal towns.
Walking distance there is the beautiful beach shown on the pictures and a variety of restaurants. My Chilean friend also recommended to drive a few miles south, where the restaurants are even better.
I would certainly rent this property again. I really appreciated how easy the transaction was with Mark. He responded to all my emails promptly with great information.

Beautiful!
My fiancée and I spent a romantic weekend in this apartment and we couldn't have picked a better place for it. Lazy mornings sipping coffee while overlooking the ocean and the waves made for an incredible time. The area offers great restaurants and incredible scenery.
