About this apartment rental
Summary:
This three bedroom apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, just minutes away from Boston Landing, which provides easy access to Fenway Park, Copley Square, and South Station. Newer furnishings, including a comfortable queen-size bed with a gel memory foam mattress, a fully equipped kitchen with top quality Maytag appliances, and a spa-like bathroom with imported Italian tile. Free on-site parking is available upon request at the time of booking.
The Space:
Architecturally, the building is considered a "3 Decker" which is a design most commonly found in New England. 3 Decker style buildings were constructed in Boston as tenement housing in the late 19th early 20th century and were mostly occupied by immigrants who worked in local factories, mills and shipyards. Over the last 30-40 years many 3 Deckers have been converted to condos, the natural design is appealing to city dwellers who appreciate the high ceilings, bay windows and private outdoor space it affords its residents.
Guest Access:
We have smart locks installed that generate a unique code for each guest to use for the duration of the reservation. That access code will be sent to the guests the day before their arrival. It will grant access to the front door as well as the apartment door.
The Neighborhood:
Allston/Brighton is a historic Boston neighborhood bordering Fenway and Cambridge. We are the most western neighborhood of Boston.
Getting Around:
There are many MBTA buses that run throughout our neighborhood. The Boston Landing Commuter Station is a short walk from our house and is just one stop to Fenway and two to Back Bay (downtown). We are not located on the T.
Other Things to Note:
This is a 3-bedroom apartment in a traditional Boston 3-decker building. You will enter a common foyer and go up a staircase to the apartment. There is no elevator. The staircase is wide enough to get beds and couches up to the apartments.

The apartment was roomy for 4 adults with three fully furnished bedrooms. The beds and linens were cozy and comfortable. Host was very responsive: we had unexpectedly warm weather and he installed air conditioners in less than 12 hours. We would definitely stay here again!
10.0 / 10.0
Overall the apartment was nice. There are 3 bedrooms and a living area with a great couch that could comfortably sleep 2 adults if needed. That area also had a door which is convenient if using as an additional sleeping area. The unit we stayed in was on the 3rd floor. This is noteworthy if traveling with anyone who is elderly or has difficulty with stairs as the stairs are quite narrow, steep and curve around almost like a spiral staircase. Navigating with large suitcases can be tricky but is doable. The apartment is located immediately off of a busy interstate so road noise is present but this is to be expected in many places in a city this size. The kitchen does contain most of what you would need for cooking and eating, however, if you are cooking for more than 2-3 people the options are more limited as there is only 1 pan. There were lots of pots though. There were also no dish towels but an adequate paper towel supply. This is an older home that has been renovated nicely but the floors appear to be original hardwood and do squeak substantially throughout the entire apartment. There will be no sneaking around in this unit. The check in process was very easy and the location is convenient to grocery stores, T access and places to eat and easily accessible for Uber drivers.

The 3rd floor apartment was perfect for our stay. Easy to get in, on site parking was great, walking up the spiral staircase was an adventure but totally fine. We would stay there again for sure. Very nicely renovated house/apartment and easy to access Harvard, BU, and BC. The neighborhood was safe and quiet.

Perfect for our group of 5 friends exploring Boston for the weekend! A few coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance; for the most part we Uber'd everywhere but you can get to most places within a 15 minute ride. The place was super clean and the bedrooms are all a good size!

This always is a great find we have stayed at more than once. Perfect location close to grocery store and the Charles River. Great hosts that had extra towels ready for us.

This was not quite what we had imagined. It is situated in a residential neighborhood next to a busy busy road, there was constant noise. The house was fine but let down by a few small things. We couldn't put our clothes away in the wardrobe or drawers because they had random crumbs, cables etc and didn't feel clean. There were no wine glasses, only plastic which is a pet hate. In fairness, we were last minute booking and there wasn't much choice of this type of accommodation.
Although we did use public transport to access Boston one day, it really wasn't very convenient, trains don't run that frequently so we ended up driving in for flexibility and so we could travel to multiple places easily.
I would not recommend this to friends visiting Boston

Online pictures of property shows the updates to the condo only. Staircase is very tight going up and down to third floor unit. Location is perfect. Safe neighborhood with easy access to everything. Bed count includes a rolling cot not pictured in the online listing. Overall a good experience. Would look into another unit if we returned to the area.

Only problem was noise coming from the building in construction next door

Good base for exploring Boston with the family. Very clean property with three bedrooms that allowed kids to have their own room. Dedicated off street parking was a plus. Some good eateries nearby including Pavement coffee, Ariana’s Afghani restaurant, & Blackbird donuts. The commuter T rail line is across the main highway near the flat but to get to the T line that goes into the city, it’s a good 15-20 minute walk. That said, we like to walk & didn’t mind the schlep to the Green line into the city. Coin laundry in the basement of the building was a plus—did three loads in the few days we were there after spending several days prior traveling through VT & NH. Make sure you bring lots of quarters if you plan on doing laundry. Overall a great spot for exploring Boston with the family.

Great unit
Unit was immaculate when we arrived, kitchen and bath beautiful. Plenty of space for our family of 4. Location was a bit of a disappointment, was further outside of Boston than anticipated, and getting to the commuter rail was not an easy walk. Used our car and Uber more than the T. Not being from the area, specific instructions on how to get to the closest stop would have been helpful. Kevin was a great host, very communicative and responsive when the air stopped working (quickly got it fixed). Overall, the place was beautiful and I would absolutely rent from them again.

Sister Trip
The location was ideal. It was easy to walk or take the T to our destinations. The rental was clean and had everything we needed. The owner was easy to reach to answer questions as they came up. We appreciated the parking spot!

Newly remodeled 3rd floor walk up
We stayed with two teens and this place was perfect. Easy less than 10 min walk to the commuter rail into town or even shorter walk to bus stops to Harvard/Central/Kendall Squares. We did not use our car at all while in Boston. The place is was spotless and newly remodeled. We highly recommend this place!

Excellent for families. .
We thoroughly enjoy our vacation. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. I was only slightly dissatisfied w the location. I assumed / thought it was closer to Fenway or down town. Having instructions isn’t he apartment how to navigate the subway would have been useful and welcomed. Overall tho — highly recommend!

Allston gem
Great value--three bedrooms and large living room. Convenient to Boston Landing and the Roadrunner, as well as easy on/off the Pike and along major transit routes. Stairs are a bit steep, and the construction noise in the morning two lots over isn't ideal, but not to bad either. Good window unit ACs, very nice bathroom.

Never again
The stairs were terrible to climb three flights of stairs with a suitcase was horrible. Lack of communication after the booking was made and paid for was so lacking.
Lots of bedroom space kitchen was very small. Living room was lacking seating for 4 little lone 6

Clean, comfortable, nice. Okay location
Nice place. Recommended.
We arrived a bit early and wanted to check-in, but the cleaners were still there. Apparently the person there before us made quite a mess. After a long lunch, we returned. The cleaners left the place spotless. We very much appreciated their work, because we have a crawling baby who loves to find and eat random things on the floor. Good walking distance to a few things, but not in the most scenic part of Boston.

Lower Alston Boston Gem
Excellent value property. Spacious and clean. It requires a bit of walking, and it's a third floor walk-up, so don't book this if you are not in good shape. Otherwise, the location is reasonably close to the nearest bus terminal (on Western Ave). We found it clean and comfortable for a family of 4. The kids got there own bedrooms. Also, avoid the expensive "shop and go" across the highway. Your best bet is probably the Trader Joe's on Western Ave (they even sell beer and wine). Great place if you rent a car, or if you're in pretty good shape and are comfortable with riding the bus. Restaurants are a long walk away. Owner was friendly and responded to messages. Thank you!

Gem in Boston
This property was better than advertised. Owners were very responsive. The property was clean and fully appointed. I especially appreciated the quality of the bed linens. There were 5 of us staying and we were all comfortable. Even had fixings for coffee at the ready 😊 I would recommend this property for anyone visiting the area with one caution….the stairs up to the third floor are narrow and spiral (typical of old buildings) so tricky to navigate for some.

Charming apartment with convenient location to numerous colleges and universities.
We really enjoyed our stay in Boston at this location. The apartment was very clean, there are plenty of towels, blankets, cooking equipment, etc. Our host, Kevin, was very responsive to our questions and concerns both prior to our stay and during. I would definitely stay here again.
One item of note, if anyone in your party has physical disabilities getting into the apartment may be a challenge as it is located on the third floor and the staircases are both steep and narrow.
