Such a nice property in a safe, quiet location. Host was super helpful and even picked up some groceries for us. Air conditioning worked very well even though it was over 90 degrees outside. Highly recommend!

My son and I decided to come to Chicago to see a cubs/phillies game and explore the city. I looked at many options and with all of the positive reviews for Maia’s place, plus the extras listed below it was an easy decision. The pictures definitely don’t do it justice!
Maia was a great host and she accommodated a very late check in. She gave us a walk through over the phone because it was so late. Her place was by far one of the best places I have stayed in terms of attention to detail and the extras.
The highlights:
- Overall a beautiful flat and very spacious.
-The kitchen was stocked with things like water, coffee, milk, bread and even frozen pizza!!
-Not 1, not 2 but 3 coffee makers!!
-The neighborhood is great! Very safe and adorable. Close to the Red Line which made for easy access to Wrigley.
-Having a parking garage was HUGE as parking in the neighborhood seemed to be a challenge.
-Having access to CABLE TV. and TVs in the bedrooms was a big plus. Call me old fashioned but I want to flip on the tv and not have to sign in to multiple apps.
-Fans in the bedroom- my son and I like our white noise so this was a welcome bonus!
The only negative is that the floors are very, very creaky and there are upstairs neighbors. They weren’t excessively loud but you can hear the foot traffic.
We will definitely be back again!

Our party of 3 (myself, husband, adult child) enjoyed our 4-night stay very much in this flat. The host, Maia, displays a welcome and meticulous attention to detail, evident throughout the space and during the in-person check-in. In the features that meant the most to us, the flat delivered with flying colors: plenty of elbow room (two bathrooms, large lounge, and one of the bedrooms with a king bed), air conditioning, off-street parking (essential in this neighborhood), and proximity to Evanston to help a family member move into Chicago. The outdoor deck with lounge seating was a big bonus. We unexpectedly made use of the washer and dryer in the basement, so that was a plus as well. We all enjoyed the neighborhood amenities, walking to restaurants and the grocery and drug stores. A couple of notes for future guests: the building is charming but older with only stair access in and out of this unit, and the only divider between the primary bedroom and the en suite bathroom is a velvet curtain. (The other bathroom off the hallway has a standard door.) We had a great time and hope to return!

We had a great stay with easy access to downtown attractions in about 30 minutes or less drive. Very safe and cool neighborhood. Excellent communication all the way through. The space is very well laid out and fit our needs perfectly. Highly recommend 👌

Maia was the most attentive host I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with, from a spotless property, to generous snacks, to excellent directions around the area.
Stay here without concern, amazing location for access to all of Chicago. Super cool property, beautifully decorated, best stocked kitchen of any VRBO I’ve ever been at. Thanks Maia!

We loved this section of Chicago. Short walk to Red Line getting us right into the heart of the city easily. Just a short walk to the beach as well. Maia our host was fabulous! The place was spotless with many if not all amenities. Spacious flat with lots of character. Loved morning coffee on the patio. We hope to be back! Great to have easy accessible parking. Thank you Maia!

This is one of the best VRBO experiences I've ever had. The property is beautiful, well furnished, and stocked with ample supplies of everything you need.
Having garage parking is a huge plus!
For families visiting Loyola students, this is a bit of a walk from campus, but definitely not too far. Highly recommended!

The flat is spacious, clean and well appointed. We were able to cook Christmas dinner for 9 adults. The garage added value to our stay since some of us drove. The property manager was responsive and very friendly.

This was one of my top VRBO experiences. Lovely apartment in great location and beautifully decorated. Central air, garage and beautiful deck made it so comfortable and easy. Highly recommend Maia’s flat!

This place is super clean and extremely well stocked. It looks even better than the photos. It is located on a tree-lined street in a very pleasant area. We walked to Whole Foods for groceries. The kitchen has everything we needed and great appliances. There is plenty of room for meals and working remotely.
There are no words to describe how nice the host is. She is an excellent communicator and really so very kind. She genuinely wants you to have a good stay. I felt like I was chatting with family.
We will always try to stay here while we are in Chicago. Book early because it fills up fast.

We were in town for Springsteen concerts at Wrigley Field and had a couple days to walk around Chicago. Maia has a great place and is a perfect host. So nice of her to meet us at check-in, walk us through the house and leave us with snacks and refreshments in the fridge. No complaints whatsoever. Garage parking was a real plus and plenty of street parking was available while we were there. Easy walk to the Thorndale station on the Red Line and to many restaurants in Edgewater & Andersonville.

Close to transit and Simpson Hall at Loyola University. Which was what we were looking for when booked this property. All basics well stocked to get your stay started. Like plenty of TP, paper towels, and coffee. Kitchen well stocked with dishes and utensils. Grill was a wonderful bonus. Nice seating on porch and deck.

I brought my son up for Loyola U orientation and stayed at this fantastically appointed flat. Just a few blocks from restaurants, Whole Foods, the "L" station, and more, we had everything we needed right within a few enjoyable steps. Inside the flat, it was the perfect blend of modern, updated amenities (kitchen and both bathrooms are completely redone, stocked with everything you could need, and wonderful) and that old Chicago charm with wood beams and exposed brick walls - VERY comfortable and accommodating. Maia, the owner, briefly welcomed us to the flat and was so sweet in making sure we had everything we needed - it was a great way to be welcomed into the house : ) And for the topper, there was a little family of bunnies that run the neighborhood - so as we left the house each morning, we were greeted by these little guys going about their day. Super cool. Overall, 100% GREAT stay for families or small groups - absolutely will book again as we come up to see our son at school.

Great neighborhood, extra surprise amenities including snacks and coffee, very close to Red Line train, and a price comparable to an average hotel in Chicago. Don't pass this property up if your looking for a great experience.

This was such a wonderful space in an amazing location. Edgewater, Andersonville, Uptown and Rogers Park coffee shops, restaurants, bars and lakefront paths were all within walking distance and getting to downtown was either a short ride on the Red Line or via bus. You can't beat the location. The house is gorgeous and so well decorated. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in outside of my own home. The owner goes to great lengths to make sure you have everything you need and above, including leaving a bottle of wine, snacks and various creamers. Very thoughtful. Lastly, the deck makes it hard to leave the house especially when it's a gorgeous sunny day. We look forward to another visit soon. Thank you for having us!

Wonderful property in a perfect edgewater location. We were in town for a family member graduation and this was perfect place to stay. The unit is immaculate and easily sleeps 6. The off street parking amenity was great as we drove in. Would highly recommend!

We loved our visit. The beds were so comfy, the host went above and beyond by shopping for lovely food items before our stay, the location was so close to public transport and there was lots of space and parking for our gang. Would definitely stay again!!!

Two couples stayed here for a long weekend. It was the perfect setup, with two separate bedrooms and bathrooms, a deluxe kitchen, great seating areas, and a full garage. Beds were super comfortable and the walk-in shower was very helpful for my older mom. The neighborhood is lush and quiet, and very walkable to great restaurants in Andersonville. Maia was wonderful to work with, gave me a full tour, left wonderful snacks in the kitchen and fridge, and clearly takes very good care of the home. Very clean, updated, and welcoming. I'd highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a non-hotel stay in a great neighborhood of Chicago.

We had a wonderful stay at The Flat for Christmas this year. We got hit with extreme weather and the property manager did a great job of providing resources - shovels, salt, etc. and ensuring that property was shoveled and clean. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The property was very comfortable and with plenty of space for us as a family of four. The size and quality of the kitchen was also very helpful. It was in a great location for our needs and for getting around with very easy access to the Red Line for more distant adventures. Maia was a great host, making certain we were comfortably and ensuring that we had some coffee and tasty snacks available upon arrival. She was also very considerate in allowing us to stay beyond normal checkout time when the property was not needed the same evening. She was always available for concerns we might have had (which we did not). Highly recommended property and host.

There aren’t enough superlatives to describe our experience at this lovely flat in Edgewater. The most gracious host, the best location, the nicest amenities, the cleanest experience… I could go on and on. Maia was beyond thoughtful, even generously offering to help me get groceries as she knew I’d be staying my first night alone without a car. We were in Chicago visiting colleges with my son, and it looks like he may end up there for school. If he does, you can bet I will end up at this wonderful place again! Thank you for a perfect experience!

We liked the artwork in the house, which was very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped. We were able to park 2 cars in the garage. The bathroom were also well equipped. We’re enjoyed the bathroom products. We appreciated all the various work spaces and tables.
It could use more storage or shelf space in the master bath area. For dopkits and toiletries. Overall a great experience.

This was just what we wanted, to live like the locals do in a neighborhood. Very comfortable, lindens and beds top notch and host left us coffee, creamer, snacks and bottled water which was a great surprise. Walk to many restaurants and shops!

VERY clean, great walkable neighborhood, walking distance to Lake, restaurants, El, Divvy station.
Maia went out of her way to be helpful, including sending suggestions when part of our group's plane was sent to a different airport (weather issues at OHare).
Plenty of space, great kitchen, really enjoyed the back deck.

Maia was a great host. She went out of her way to purchase us welcoming gifts (chips/crackers, coffee, etc). The in-person check in was also very nice as she provided a thorough walk-through/tour of the rental and it gave us the opportunity to address any inefficiencies (there were none) on the spot if needed. I will consider this rental again for future visits to Chicago.
