About this cabin rental
This is a beautiful, Non-Smoking, log cabin home on an acre of land, situated on a rushing creek with several waterfalls right outside the door. The lot is wooded and sits at about 4200 feet elevation. It feels very private, yet is only five minutes from the main road.
There is a large covered porch running the length of the cabin overlooking the creek, with a six-person hot tub on one end. In the yard is a picnic table and steps down to the creek. The furniture is plush and comfortable, and with a woodburning fireplace and satellite television, there isn't a more cozy place.
You'll be only fifteen minutes from the quaint town of Maggie Valley, where there are several wonderful restaurants and lots of craft and gift shops, as well as gorgeous mountain views. Going the opposite direction takes you into Cherokee in about ten minutes, with gambling casinos and tourist attractions, or you can take a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. In 20 minutes you can be on Main Street in Waynesville, with restaurants and shopping galore. Asheville is just 45 minutes away, and Gatlinburg, Tennessee only an hour or so.
But if you are like us, you won't want to leave the cabin! Everyone falls in love with the place. There isn't a greater get-away than the Great Smoky Mountains, and this is the perfect spot to enjoy them! (3 night minimum)
4x4 is required during the winter time, if it snows. The cabin is located 4200 feet up the mountain on a hard packed gravel road (always check the weather).
Pets Considered with Prior Approval - DOGS ONLY (35-40 lbs and limit 2)

We had a beautiful stay and it was hard to leave. We are hikers and enjoyed driving around finding all the awesome hikes. After a long day hiking it was nice to relax in the hot tub. Mornings and evenings were so peaceful out on the porch. We brought our own birdseed and hummingbird feeder which made it a delight to see all the birds and several hummingbirds. The outside deck is surrounded by trees with a nice creek running alongside the house. We kept the window open at night and the sound of the creek lulled us to sleep. A little bit of paradise.

The house was so comfortable and welcoming. The creek was a definite plus . The driveway was tricky but we figured out the best way was to back in. The fire pit and seating needs work. Everything else was perfect. Thank you.

Two couples stayed at this wonderful cabin for a month in the beautiful Smokey Mountains. We were especially pleased that the cabin was close to the National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The hot tub on the deck was an added bonus after hiking during the day. The cabin feels very private and soothing as the rushing creek adds it's background music. We found the cabin clean and comfortable and the kitchen supplied with everything we needed. The driveway was tricky (for those not used to mountain driving), but coming in from the backway was very helpful! Kathy was kind to give us directions. We would recommend this lovely cabin for anyone who would like to get away and spend time in God's beauty.

A+ Great property.

We had a restful stay here. A very comfortable cabin. We enjoyed the creek view from the deck. The cabin is furnished nicely. We will be back again!

Beautiful location, very private and quiet. The stream in the backyard was very nice.

Our experience at this property did not start out well. Guests who use their GPS to get to this property will find that the road from the top of the mountain is very steep and getting into the driveway is very tricky. It took my husband several attempts to maneuver our car in order to safely turn into the driveway. We later found out after speaking with the property manager that getting to the property is easier if you come from the bottom of the mountain. Although, you do have to cross a small creek (no bridge) before reaching the property.
I think just disclosing in the property description that the road to the cabin is hard packed gravel, is really not enough to give guests a good idea of what to expect with the drive to the property. Being told upfront which way to to get to the property would have made our initial experience more positive.
The only complaint we have about the accommodations is that the 3 inch foam pad on the bed in the main floor bedroom has got to go. The fitted sheet kept coming off and the pad itself made it difficult to move in bed.
With all that being said, the cabin itself is nicely decorated. It was very cozy. We loved using the fireplace while enjoying a cup of cocoa or glass of wine. It was lovely to hear the sounds of the creek below while relaxing in the hot tub. We enjoyed using the well equipped kitchen too.
We hope the owner will make these few suggested changes so that future guests can have an even better experience.

Very much enjoyed our stay at Creekside Cabin for our 20th Anniversary vacation. Hot tub was enjoyed to just relax and soak in after a day of hiking or adventuring in the Maggie Valley/Cherokee area. The cabin was fully supplied with all that we could need. And the creek was delightful to watch and listen to.
There are a couple of opportunities to make this cabin even better. The mattress on the 1st floor bed could use replacing. Kitchen trashcan could use a lid. And living room ceiling fan would be great if speed could be adjusted. But none of these things hampered our enjoyment of our stay.
Would definitely recommend Creekside Cabin to others and would stay again.

One of the best values and stays ive had using vrbo/others.
Very remote and scenic property with a creek running through. Hot tub was great. Cabin was clean and had all we needed. Cleanest fridge ive seen.
Would recomend a raised vehicle and coming first in the daytime, the road/drive is gravel are pretty hairy in spots.

The cabin is beautiful. The kitchen contained everything needed to prepare our meals.
We enjoyed eating on the picnic table on the back porch every meal, and the rocking chairs were our gathering place for morning coffee. The sounds of the creek and the birds added to the relaxing atmosphere. We arrived on Sunday and didn't leave till we had to go home. We would definitely go back. We loved being there. Getting in the driveway is tricky, but we should have came in the other way, or backed in.

I had a question and left a vm for yhe property manager. She called me back while at dinner with her family. That is some serious customer service! The place was exactly as advertised and in my opinion better. Btw, our 4 cylinder Rav 4 had zero problems with the road.

This was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Booking was simple. Communication was open and clear. Check in was a breeze. The rental was exactly as described. Everything was clean and in good working order….including the hot tub. The cabin is really close to the blue ridge parkway and to town. It’s secluded but not so far off the beaten path as to be inconvenient. I’d highly recommend this as a great place to stay with excellent hosts and a wonderful experience from start to finish.

The cabin was definitely off the beaten path and a challenge to get in the driveway but once there it was gorgeous. I did not realize pets were allowed so my allergies were awful the whole time but other than that a very nice getaway.

My friend and I had a lovely stay. The cabin is spacious and has plenty of room for six people especially if two of them are children. The loft was a nice space that we didn't even need to use. Everything was a little dated but everything was kept very clean and functional. The cabin was much more well-appointed than described so we didn't even have the stuff that we brought. They're was plenty of soap type items etc. All we really used was the extra toilet paper we brought. We did have an issue with a leak from the top bathroom to the bottom bathroom which we think was just water that kept getting on the floor after a shower. They tried to fix it while we were there and I believe are going to try to continue to fix it after we leave. The owners were very easy to get in touch with and helped us out during our stay. The only caution is that the road is very rocky getting up to the cabin. There is a back route that you can take that goes over a waterfall stream that makes the driveway easier to enter. Four wheel drive is recommended. I would even recommend it during nice weather as the road is definitely rough. Great cabin though. Lovely porch. The stream was flowing the entire time we were there which made for a very peaceful week. We loved the hot tub which was clean and ready to go. Lots of nice waterfalls on that side of the Smokies so we had plenty to do all week to keep us busy. I would come back to this cabin for another getaway :-)

This cozy cabin in the mountains far exceeded our expectations! The home was very clean and made for a perfect peaceful getaway! Stopped at a few restaurants nearby that were very good and the locals were very friendly. Would love to stay here again when the water gets warmer so we could enjoy the stream out back!

The cabin was very clean and very quiet. We enjoyed our time. The manager was really sweet and I got all the information before I got there. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

Beautiful and clean cabin in a good location between Asheville, North Carolina and pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Only a short distance from the Cherokee casino.

My wife and I decided to take a vacation for our 30th anniversary and this is the place where we chose to stay. While the road is indeed a bit steep and rugged (and the driveway entrance a challenge to navigate), the seclusion is very enjoyable and you don't really feel as though you have any neighbors close by. The small creek immediately next to the house adds real atmosphere to an already-great experience.
The home was nicely furnished with quality furniture, appliances and other amenities. The hot tub on the deck was a nice touch and was very enjoyable during the chilly evenings. To sum it up in once sentence we would happily choose to stay there again if visiting the area in the future.

Spacious cabin, beautiful property, creek running behind property was amazing. Wood burning fireplace was the icing on the cake. Nice wrap around porch. Nice hot tub. It was just me and my husband but it would have plenty of room for a big family. You really couldn’t see any other cabins from the porch of this cabin even this time of year when the trees have no leaves. We will definitely be back.

Been coming to Maggie Valley for over 15 years and this is the most western part of town we have stayed - yet the cabin is only 15 minutes or so from town. The cabin is in a remote area and the sound of the stream was so peaceful. The cabin provided much firewood for the wood-burning fireplace. The bedrooms and loft are of decent size but the kitchen, dining area, & living room are a little tight - but this adds to the quaintness of the cabin. I found the driveway easily manageable with my 2 wheel drive SUV. Once you leave the cabin and get to Soco Rd (about 3 minutes), Soco Falls is about 3 minutes away, and the Blueridge Parkway is about 200 yards away and will lead you to Water Rock Knob. Overall we were please with the cabin.

A stay of a lifetime
This cabin is a prefect getaway! It is a beautiful and restful spot. Away from the hubbub of the tourists, but close enough that it is easy access to the Great Smokies and the Parkway. We couldn't ask for anything more!

This. Place. Rocks!!!!
Spacious, well-provisioned, and in a GREAT location. About 5 min from Maggie Valley, 20 min from Cherokee, 3 min from Blue Ridge Parkway. The creek below provides a wonderful soundtrack. The hot tub is superior. The bedrooms and baths are great!
My only partial, little complaint is... it is satellite internet... so it is slow. If you are planning a work-getaway... your internet won't be quite up to snuff. It works... just a lag... so not so good for video calls.
Having said that... shame on me for trying to work in the mountains!!
DEFINITE recommend and I WILL return!

Got to spend the weekend away from our daily hustle and bustle to just relax and make new memories. This is now my third visit to the cabin and each time is has been enjoyable. After arriving on Friday afternoon, we relax and played a couple of board/card games before making dinner and relaxing in the hot tub. Saturday was pretty much the same. We started our day off at Joey’s Pancake House for breakfast before taking a drive along the parkway. After that we made it to the casino and had a good time before heading to Bogart’s in Waynesville for dinner. Sunday we made our way to the Biltmore for an afternoon of touring the house, seeing the gardens, and of course the free wine tasting.
Needless to say, this is not my last visit.
Only one thing to note, the over sink light in the downstairs bathroom isn’t working and would be great to have an updated light installed for better lighting when getting ready.

My husband and I booked this cabin for a week on our 20th Wedding Anniversary! It was amazing! The location was perfect and secluded with privacy ! We didn’t wanna leave . The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed and more ! The view beside the creek was awesome. Listening to the water and creek at night was peaceful and cozy . I can’t say enough about our experience and we will definitely be returning soon!

Very pleased with everything. Cabin was very well stocked. Hot tub very clean and very enjoyable. The sounds of the creek of a night will put you to sleep. Enjoyed both maggie valley and cherokee. As 6 adults we had fun scaring ourselves it was so quite and dark of a night. Lol. I will say the drive in to the cabin is definitely not made for cars of course we had lifted 4 wheel drive trucks no issues. My one and only complaint is the mattresses on the beds rolled to the middle maybe a little older but other than that absolutely no issues. We will definitely be renting again.

So easy to rent... contact with the owner was great. Will be back.

Awesome! Great location, less than a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway. So peaceful and relaxing. Loved the sound of the water running down the hill and past the house. The back porch is THE place to relax. Clean, well-appointed. Great communication with owner. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great vacation at the cabin. I was a bit surprised it was so far from the center of Maggie Valley. (I haven’t been there in 20 years. Pretty sad how Maggie has changed). We ended up leaving a day early after checking the radar and seeing the storms coming. The only problem we had was the road to the cabin. The gravel was washed out making it very hard to get my 4 door sedan to the house. I bottomed out a few times. This made us not want to travel and explore the area in fear of damaging my car. Other than the road, we had a wonderful trip.

Cabin was very clean and set up perfect for family fun. Cabin was located close to town and many activities were close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
