Cozy log cabin located in the picturesque town of Grand Lake. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and the lake makes this log home the perfect vacation getaway for the family. Upon entry into the home, there is a private living area and a large bedroom with a king bed and a full/twin size bunkbed, along with a full bathroom tub/shower combo on this floor. Up a flight of stairs is the main level, with a beautiful, vaulted ceiling, open floor plan, full kitchen and another private bedroom with a queen bed. The main floor is equipped with a full bathroom tub/shower combo as well. Enjoy the open kitchen and lovely gas stove fireplace are the perfect retreat for relaxing and enjoying the beauty all around this home. The third floor is a semi-private loft area with two twin beds. Bring up to two fur babies as well, this home is pet friendly! Located on a large lot with two decks for taking in that fresh mountain air. Wi-Fi is available at this home.

Cancellations made prior to 30 days of your arrival date for stays of 6 nights or less will incur a $50 cancellation fee and forfeit the non-refundable booking fee. For cancellations within 30 days of arrival date the entire amount is non-refundable for all reservations.

Please be prepared before beginning your drive to the mountains! Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. Keep in mind that chain and traction laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We will not accommodate refund related to weather or road conditions, please plan accordingly.

Check in and check out were very easy. The home was in a great location. Only disappointment was the cleanliness of the downstairs bathroom, bedroom etc. We encountered lots of large black spiders. Not just the normal spider getting in here and there. Multiple daily.

This was the perfect size for our family of 5. Could have comfortably fit 2 more. It was an easy walk to town and to the mountain market. There’s not much of a shoulder to walk on, but cars are very mindful of pedestrians. We cooked all of our meals, and we found the kitchen to be well stocked with pots and pans.

We were at this location for a week in late July '24. There is construction next to the property from 7am to 5pm Mon-Sat. Lots of impact hammers and noise. Nice clean home. Stairs to enter from garage and parking.

We enjoyed the house and close proximity to downtown Grand Lake and trails into the national park. The description of the property is very accurate in that it had a secluded feel but an in-town location. The living space was ample and very comfortable. With four of us we were able to spread out and have plenty of privacy yet gather in the common areas.

We enjoyed our stayed here. The house had everything we needed and the location was great. There was a minor issue with the 1st level toilet, but it was quickly resolved and the host was very responsive and quick to get it fixed. We had a ton of fun exploring the grounds with my son. The horseshoe pit and fire pit were a nice addition. The beautiful fall trees coming up the driveway was the cherry on top!

We stayed here for a girls weekend and it was perfect. We had 8 people, everyone could sleep comfortably and it was clean and stocked with the necessities. Just bring your own toiletries, they only had hand soap. It was a great location a quick drive or walk from town.

Overall this house was nice but the twin beds in the loft area rocked from side to side. My son who stayed in this house said the toilet downstairs leaked. He thought it was leaking from the supply line. The downstairs sleeping area worked great for his family. And the bedroom with the queen bed on the main floor was also nice.

This property made our short vacation perfect. It is located near town but has the feeling of being alone in the woods. It was clean, well maintained, and well stocked. The management company has an office in town and is available for any needs. We only had two of us so we had ample space but there is room for a large family. It was perfect.

This property is located very close to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and is walkable to the town of Grand Lake. The main room has a very tall ceiling and large windows with Aspen trees and pines. There is a bedroom and a loft overlooking that room and another one on the main level as well as an additional bedroom on the basement level. This ended up working well for our group because we could each have privacy and no one needed to sleep in the loft. I assume children would be very happy up in that loft although we did not have any with us. The kitchen had workable appliances and some pots and pans as well as utensils. The beds were generally comfortable and although I do have to say if you were traveling with six adults, a couple of them are going to end up on the bunkbeds . If you have a lake is important, this property is not for you but if you’re looking for that cabin in the Woods feel without the low ceilings and a sometimes cramped vibe that it can bring, you’ll like this property. The furniture and carpets are a little bit tired but functional.

We stayed in the cabin with six people over the age of 15. We had plenty of space and did not feel like we were on top of each other. The kitchen was adequately equipped so we could prepare several meals at the cabin. Overall we enjoyed this day, and the location was great because it felt secluded but was close enough to town so we could walk to anything we wanted to do.

It's close to town, nice views, but difficult to find. GPS doesn't work. Would be great if there was a sign at the end of the driveway. But once you find it, you won't be disappointed. Nicely furnished, comfortable.

We stayed in the cabin with six people over the age of 15. We had plenty of space and did not feel like we were on top of each other. The cabin experience was wonderful; however we like to cook and the kitchen was missing many utensils and basics that should have been there such as a decent grater and good silverware. We had to provide toilet paper and paper towels as well as dish clothes. The bathroom towels were thin and old.... And this cabin was expensive for the amenities. We really had a great time and loved the location and the queen bed was very comfortablel My son said the king bed was very uncomfortable. Overall though it was a great trip

Love the cabin, love the location. The big yard was a plus for kids and dogs. Kitchen supplies were fine for us and we cooked in every day, due to pandemic. My only complaints were it wasn't all that clean and some things were broken. There were spiderwebs in corners and the toilets had urine from previous guests. Had to clean them. The downstairs shower curtain was full of mold spots. We told the management company and they didn't respond to this, though they were responsive to other things. The door to the bedroom off the kitchen did not fully shut. The door from that bedroom into bathroom was very hard to open. A nightstand in the loft was broken. Basically, I would say great physical space in a great location, close to town. But, as is true in many mountain towns the people who service the cabin- management company and cleaners- are only so-so.

We had five adults and this space worked perfectly. We loved the large living/kitchen area with plenty of comfortable seating. Our son loved the loft he could escape to but still be with everybody else. We wanted to use the fire pit but fire danger was extreme so we left it alone. But the big deck with a very clean grill was a great place to enjoy the beautiful aspens that surround it. Location is very convenient to the grocery store and shops downtown - no driving needed. Kitchen is well-equipped with very nice appliances. The only downside was the downstairs bed, which desperately needs a new mattress. Even if you like soft mattresses, this one won't work. That's the only reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5 on the property condition category below.

My family of six spent Dec. 23,24 and 25th at Solitude. We enjoy the house very much. It had plenty of room for all of us. The only problem was with the furnace, when it ran at night it made it very difficult to sleep down stairs.

Personable staff at Grand Lake Rentals. The rental experience from finding the location to check out was very easy - well documented. The Solitude cabin was much nicer than I expected. It was perfect for our family and in-laws. It is tucked away behind a moraine on a hill so it felt like we were deep in the woods, yet we were a 5 minute walk from town.

This was a really great property, a little away from the busy main street. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. We have rented another property from the owners and they have been very kind and accommodating in the past - a big plus! The new property managers have been well trained by the prior managers... still very helpful and friendly.
