My boyfriend and I stayed in the cottage for 4 days, and had a nice relaxing time. The place is equipped well and had a great selection of movies. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Sleeps 2 adult and maybe 2 kids. Parking should be explained. Heater filter needed to be cleaned. Nice bathroom and kitchen.

Not easy to find the gravel driveway between 2 Main Street buildings but property was just as described. Keybox code worked perfectly. Tidy/tiny old home with all ya need for a short stay. My husband missed regular NBC,CBS,ABC but Netflix worked fine. Nothing special but all okay for us. Be careful not to block neighbors' parking areas.

This was a nice, clean, quiet bungalow that offers an affordable stay in the heart of Foresthill. Check in was easy and there are a couple of eateries within a very short walk. There was a clean kitchen area and refrigerator, and the IGA market is a mile or so down the road. The queen size bed is comfortable and the bathroom is updated and clean. No odd scents or smells in the house and the WiFi works great. Only negative is that there is not much in the way closet space or a dresser to unpack your suitcase.

I was hoping the negative reviews would be inaccurate but I’ve learned my lesson, will listen to reviews in the future. True - Spider webs are in more than a few corners/areas inside the house. True - There is a lot of hinges/doors that do not seal, thus letting in air or spiders. They do leave you some off on the fridge incase you need it! True - Everything inside is very old. except brown couch. Curtains look like they haven’t been changed or cleaned in a very long time. Butcher block counter is nice, butcher block head board not so appealing but comfortable. Foundation of house seemed tilted. Felt like I was slightly leaning towards the West Coast the entire time I was in the house. Parking not great to get in and out of, area looks very run down, empty lot in back of cottage looks like dump yard. It is a studio, I wouldnt say cottage. It is a place to stay and that is it. I reached out to owner, via VBRO prior to arrival to see if we could arrive a little early. Owner never responded which to me is not great host etiquette. I did find my own answer, however, a response would have been nice. Would not rent again.

Small but comfortable. Had everything we needed. Top bathroom door hinge was separated from door as screws had worked out from old door. I contacted property owner and communicated. She was great. We would rent again!

If you are looking for a cabin and nothing more, this is good for you. If you want quaint this is not for you. Spider webs under the drapes and around the space, floors slope, things creek and everything is very very old.

On the first night i was not impressed, i had to fight off a black widow, a slug in the shower, and some ants. The next couple nights were definitely better once the insects were aware of my presence. My main reason for this stay was to do archeology work in downtown Colfax, so drives were about 40 mins which kinda sucked, so if u need to be in town (colfax) do not stay here. Despite all this my stay was pretty good but i believe this place needs some maintenance, too many holes and creeks in the wall that will allow insects to get in easy.

The place was NOT clean! It had cobwebs in just about every corner-including spiders. We also had to deal with ants. The place was very dated. Lastly, communicating with the host was a laugh until the last day.

The pictures are exactly how the cottage looks. A/C was great and cottage very comfortable. The cottage is behind a veterinary house/hospital but parking is great. Would stay here again!

It was nice

The property description and listing photo looked nice. But the property was cramped and run down. No closets or any place to hang clothes. Beds and sofa bed was too soft and uncomfortable (springs worn out). Wifi instructions were incorrect - we were not able to access Wifi until almost checkout. Lack of amenities. Was glad that we were only booked for one night.

I wanted somewhere that was nothing like city life and this was it!

Cottage was nice, everything was loose , door knobs, shower handles, water was leaking from Hot water heater outside. The mual fell on me while i was sleeping in the living room. Just needs a little TLC.

The location was wonderful. The size was wonderful and everything was super. Really enjoyed our stay at this location.

We had an awesome time at the property . It was super close to the wedding venue we were going to and one of the best options in the area . Cute , clean and comfy : )

It was an easy walk from the Forest House Lodge. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for an couple.

Very very peaceful

Was exactly what we wanted. Late Christmas with our family in Foresthill, needed a place to stay the nite with our pup rather than drive in the dark.

The place was perfect down for the light parade super cold but nothing wrong with the house plenty warm

This little place is terribly cute and just right for a small family or solo traveler. Has everything you need and walking distance to a great breakfast place and direct access to everything about the area that is worth seeing.

The cottage is tiny but has everything one could possibly need, and it’s located close to amenities. Parking is pretty easy, and the neighborhood is surprisingly quiet. We’d stay here again!

Cottage was freezing cold upon arrival, No hot water

This house was a perfect little getaway for my husband and I. Quaint and in the woods. It was small but it is comfortable and had all the necessities. The location was perfect for walking to get some food at the local spot. I would definitely love to stay here again.

I needed a place to stay for my Nephew’s wedding that would allow a small dog. This cozy little cabin was perfect. I hope to come back for another visit.

This cute little cottage is less than a block away from the forest house lodge wedding venue. Super cute and has everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Nice quiet place not too far from everything , and all of this was just b-4 the big fire up there our prayers go out to the people in this little town .
