I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning penthouse rental in Lahaina, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the unit, I was captivated by its beauty. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the panoramic view that greeted me upon arrival.
The moment I stepped onto the private balcony, I was greeted by an awe-inspiring vista of the sparkling turquoise waters of the Pacific Ocean. The sight of the sun setting over the horizon was nothing short of magical. It was as if time stood still, and I found myself completely mesmerized by the breathtaking beauty that unfolded before my eyes.
The interior of the penthouse was good. The attention to detail and the tasteful decor created a Hawaiian Vibe. The living area was spacious and thoughtfully designed, with plush seating that allowed me to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the island. The kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances, making it a joy to prepare meals while enjoying the spectacular view.
The location of this penthouse is ideal. Easy access to restaurant and shops. I also took advantage of the beach, write out side the building for a morning swim.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful condominium. The furniture was exquisite and very Hawaiian! Perfect location with a 270 degree view beyond words from the penthouse. The air conditioner worked great, the terrace was large, comfortable seating, wonderful artwork, great heated pool, nice lobby area and a fabulous new kitchen. Absolutely gorgeous, can’t wait to come back! All around 100%

Chose location for beach and walkability to Black Rock, Duke’s, etc. View obviously fantastic. Would have been nice to have some paper products/soap upon arrival. Cleaner wasn’t finished with property - brought our towels around 7, but we went to grocery store while she finished up. Lots of seating for having additional family over for dinner. Would definitely stay here again.

Wow wow wow the views from this unit could not have been better even if you stayed at a 5 star resort. You had multiple amazing window views. The unit was amazing, but could have used some renovations. It is an amazing unit in a great location and right where you would want to be. Only downside (if there was one) is it was dated and could have used a renovation in furniture. If you can look past that, definitely a must rent unit. Communications were ok, but could have been faster response times

We enjoyed the condo even though some parts of place were outdated. There was not much room in the master bedroom closet to hang clothes. We had to call the owner then ask at the front desk for maintenance one day to fix the front door lock. We appreciated the air conditioning, the beds were comfortable and the view was fantastic.

We had a wonderful time. The view is a once ina lifetime experience. We saw turtles, a shark and countless whales from the window. We also had a front row seat to over a dozen rainbows.
The kitchen was well stocked and you can’t beat the location.
The place overall is a bit dated but we knew that going into it reading reviews and picking it for the view and Hawaiian decor.

The location is wonderful!! Close to shopping and beaches. Such a tropical feel to the property. Loved the pool and hot tub. Just walk out the door and you are on the soft sand!! Loved the condo. Everything was fabulous! Wish we could have stayed longer. The beds were super comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Loved our first time in Maui❤️🎄

This property owner failed to tell us the building was under full construction. We arrived to the unit late in the evening due to flight delays. Upon arriving found a note on the door saying not to use the lanai. I asked the property owner about it and he was unkind in his message. That was only the beginning. The unit was dirty, delapatated and not fit to stay in. On top of the filth was the construction. It began at 7am. I reached out to the property owner several times and have yet to ever hear back from him. I talked to management where they told me all they could do was try to call him. I was told to file a police report. After visiting Maui pd I was shocked to learn Peter Dworans name is known there and it’s not for good reasons. We only stayed in the room for one night because we had no other choice. I have reached out to Vrbo to get help in getting our $ returned and they are absolutely zero help. I will NEVER use Vrbo again and i will be making sure others don’t use Vrbo either. I’m not sure what kind of business they are running but I’m not into that kind of business. We plan on pursuing this issue further and we will be getting our money back!!!! DO NOT RENT UNIT 1219!!!! I promise you, it will be the worst thing you’ve ever done!!!!!!!!

Fabulous view!
You wont find a better view or location. We sat on the lanai every morning looking down on the waves and the frequent turtles below. The ocean view stretches to the horizon and the sun sets into the water between Lanai and Molokai. The condo is just steps from the north end of the boardwalk where you can walk for several miles, all the way to the far end of Kaanapali beyond Whalers Village. There are many restaurants along the way, as well as access to the beach in many places.
Knowing that the Mahana is an older building, we overlooked some of the well-used elements in the condo. It was disappointing that the sliding door from the master bedroom couldn't be opened, but the owner explained in previous reviews that it takes time to get things repaired on the island. The cabinets are in rough shape, but again, this is an older building. The only thing we had a problem with was the cleanliness, particularly when there are to be extra cleaning measures during Covid. The beautiful rug was very dirty, and there were tortilla chips under the couch from previous renters. One of us picked up a towel the first evening, and we were covered in about a cup of sand. Floors and light switches were very dirty, but it was nothing we couldn't fix with a few Lysol wipes. One of the bathroom sinks had an army of ants. I also realize that the owner has to trust the cleaning crew to do their job from a distance and the only way he can know how they are doing is from renter's reviews.
We mostly used the condo for sleeping, and I must say, the beds are very comfortable. It was a good stay, and I would gladly rent again for the view and the good night's sleep.

It really made us feel like we were in Hawaii, and not just another boring hotel room. The condo had plenty of room for the 5 of us, it was neat and clean, stocked well, and the beds were very comfortable. It was the perfect place to be with teenagers, because they could walk to everything, there is so much nearby. We would sit on the lanai drink our coffee and watch the turtles below every morning. We even saw dolphins. We would definitely come back here!

The most beautiful view ever!
This is an amazing property! I am convinced it is the most beautiful view on the island. It took our breath away every morning. The unit is well equipped and we had everything we needed including binoculars to look at the sea turtles that we could see from the lanai! The decor is fun and interesting. The place has a lot of charm compared to the generic condos that are out there. Also the beds were amazingly comfortable. I didn’t want to leave and definitely hope to come back someday!

Amazing view, condo okay
Pros: view is amazing. We could see up and down the beach, lots of turtles in the reef below and beautiful sunsets. Access to the beach and beach boardwalk was super easy. A short walk to a parking lot full of food trucks. The place has beach chairs, a sand shovel and snorkeling gear for us to use.
Cons: the sliding glass door from the master bedroom was not useable which we were very bummed about, we were looking forward to having the door open at night to listen to the ocean. The living area and kitchen cupboards were cluttered. Lots of stuff to search through to get what we needed. We also gave stuff a good wash before using the first time as it was dusty or had old food stuck to it.

Loved the location
Great location and has all you need for a comfortable stay in Maui. We ate out all of the time but has an excellent stocked kitchen. Thank you for the coffee-was excellent. Pool was fun for the kids. Comfy beds, Hawaiian decor was great and lots of room for a family of 4.

Comfortable spacious condo in awesome location. Good space for family with two teens. Had all the comforts needed and the views are incredible. Like other older rental properties could use some updating, but that’s minor (reason for 4 star rating). Wouldn’t hesitate to rent again.

Fantastic view with lots of whales
The view was not understated! Penthouse end unit was awesome! The unit was well stocked with paper products, which is not typical. The location near grocery stores, restautants (including Dukes), and shopping is great. You could stay at the unit/complex the entire time if you wanted. Thanks to Peter for great communication and for extra understanding during the Covid restrictions.

10. CENTRAL A/C. When researching VRBO, I read MANY complaints of no A/C. Our stay in January included no thought of A/C. It was NEEDED! Be careful any time of the year with no A/C on Maui.
9. PARKING: Abundant, safe, convenient parking
8. CONDO LAYOUT: 2 BR/2 Bath with completely separate suites. Full-size kitchen, large living room/dining area, with washer and dryer
7. FURNISHINGS/AMENITIES: The décor of this home provides an added feel of a truly Hawaiian experience with authentic island furnishings. Appliances are high quality; dishwasher a plus, as are the comfortable beds w/high-quality bedding and the thick, soft beach towels, internet included.
6. NEIGHBORHOOD: Coffee shops, restaurants, and a full-size supermarket are at the end of parking lot. Duke’s restaurant is only steps away. The boardwalk/walking trail/running trail is adjacent.
5. Reasonable: All things considered, this condo far outweighed all other options. As long as it's available, this is where I'm staying!
4. WHALE WATCHING/DOLPHIN SIGHTING: AMAZING!! Used the owner-provided binos and saw whales and dolphins everyday from the balcony and living room.
3. OCEANFRONT: Literally!
2. GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION: We traveled around and throughout Maui. It was easy to go in any direction. When deciding on a property, we almost selected in Hana. DON’T DO IT!
1. And…#1: (unsurprisingly) VIEWS!! Other “oceanfront” properties may have limited views because of palm trees, foliage, buildings, or distance. Location is too important to book “oceanfront” only to be highly disappointed when it is not. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the view itself, even though I expected it because of the pictures. Remarkable! Sitting on the balcony with COMFORTABLE, STURDY furniture, you see nothing but ocean, the mid-point of the bay that separates the islands of Lanai and Molokai. Note: COMFORTABLE! Anyone who has used low-grade, plastic chairs or tables knows EXACTLY what I mean: no thanks. Added surprise: mountain views from the condo, too. GORGEOUS!!

Beautiful condo. Amazing view that added so much to our trip. We could have sat on the lanai and watched whales for hours. Having access to the concierge was a bonus.

A DIAMOND on Kaanapali Beach
What a condo!!! A view to die for!
The new fridge and stove are magnificent, as well as the new appliances, towels, etc.
The condo is roomy and very very clean. The hand carved bed is very unique. I enjoyed the hand scrubbed bathroom. Very comfortable sofas. Incidentally, the owner was easy to deal with, with easy access to book.
The grounds are well kept. Excellent is the olympic heated swimming pool. I enjoyed the oceanfront lounging chairs as well as the tennis court and rotisseries. There’s plenty of parking.
Anyone renting this condo will be very happy and have found a DIAMOND on Kaanapali Beach.

Amazing views in Unique Condo
Amazing views with lots of whales. Very uniquely decorated, but a tad bit cluttered. New appliances were nice and everything you need in a kitchen was there. Some of the condo is outdated, but I believe it is priced accordingly. A very quiet complex in a great location. Not as kid friendly as some of the adjacent complexes however the sacrifice was worth it to be ocean front top floor with killer views and a lot of privacy. I do recommend this unit and Peter was very accommodating.

Beautiful view, problematic condo
Great location and view. There were boogie boards and beach chairs which was great. Cabinets and drawers are falling apart. One drawer was completely broken. Appliances fine. Only 3 teaspoons. Inadequate supply of paper towels, facial tissue and TP. No bar soap, no soap, shampoo or conditioner for the showers. Hand lotion, notepad and pen would have been nice, too. Also ran out of laundry detergent.

FOR A SPLENDID VACATION...
I had a fabulous time with my partner at this wonderful condo. It was sparkling clean with many new beautiful linens. There was a new refrigerator, oven and small appliances! Everything worked perfectly. The Hawaiian decor was so authentic. Our communication with the OWNER was excellent. The lighting was beautiful and the views from the large windows were exquisite. The LANAI was large and you could see whales in the water! The free binoculars were a great addition to our experience. There were wonderful amenities at the complex which included the pool, BBQs, shuffleboard, lounging chairs, hot tub, and tennis court! The pool was crystal clean and the lobby was beautifully decorated. There were ample parking spaces available. We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful gem. MAGNIFICENT VIEW! This RESORT is a great place to have a vacation! The Mahana at Kaanapali gave us the best vacation we have had in years!

Location, location, location!!
I gave the location of this condo a 5 star. Close to everything. Great restaurants, shopping, grocery store, water activities. Beach is right out the door, my kids snorkeled right off the beach many times. We saw sea turtles feeding off of the rocks by the beach daily.
I gave 3 stars to the interior of the condo. It was very outdated. Kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets are all very old. The dishwasher does not work, I couldn’t even turn it on. But having washer and dryer on site was nice. The owner provided everything needed so that our stay was comfortable. So overall 4 stars.

Ocean View is spectacular!
We thoroughly enjoy our time in Maui and the condo we chose. Sitting on the patio at the end of the day with a cocktail and watching the surfers and the whales was just perfect. We had to call Peter for a minor issue and he had it done very quickly. Would recommend this condo for your stay.

Great view! Unit was totally misrepresented and in deplorable condition compared to its ad.
This unit is in run down and outdated condition. The owner claims of renovations and new items are false. This unit should not be allowed in your website as advertised. The kitchen is run down with cabinet doors coming apart and drawers that could fall on your feet. We stayed because it was habitable but not anything we would ever stay in if we had a choice after prepaying everything. VRBO HOMEAWAY and the owner should be embarrassed. All parties are guilty of misrepresentation.

A great five star condo
This condo has the greatest location right on the beach of kaanapali beach at a resort!!!
I kept watching the whales, dolphins and beach combers.
The lanai had a great view for watching and relaxing. Watching the unique sunsets was truly spectactulaur in the evening.
The condo was comfortable and very clean and I mean clean. The beds were comfortable plenty of linens, I could not find any faults and problems.
My vacation was a complete success. All the restaurants nearby especially dukes. We really enjoyed ourselves. The unusual bed was so relaxing with styled sheet sets. Everything peter promised was there for us.
I cant to return!!! With the unique Hawaiian bronzes and hawaiian art gallery by the famous artists signed by eggre hopper. Hawaiian decor gives you a truly Hawaiian experience with ukeleles and surf boards really.
The tvs have retractable viewing. Plenty of books in the condos mini library whats not to like? Coming back soon!!! Probably the winter to a big spacious ocean front condo comfortable!!!
