About this house rental
This property is absolutely unique - with close to 260 acres of woods which include both a Private 15 Acre Lake and Eau Claire River frontage for you to enjoy. It has something to offer everyone during all seasons in Northern Wisconsin. Grab some snowshoes, a pair of cross-country skis, or take a stroll on the wooded trails encircling this lake or leading to the Eau Claire River. Enjoy a peaceful kayak ride on the lake, go for a swim or lounge on the dock with zero interruptions from the outside world. Drive just a few miles up the road and enjoy a three hour float or kayak adventure on the Eau Claire River with a convenient exit off the river right on the property. You can access 4-wheeler and snowmobile trails within 1/4 mile from the property.
This 3 bedroom, 2 bath 2,000 sq ft home is located right on the lake with your own private beach, dock and raft including the use of a couple of kayaks, a canoe and rowboat. Gather on the outdoor patio for some grilling and a campfire and watch the sunset reflect off the water and surrounding pines.
Head inside for some socializing after the sun goes down in the spacious, open area kitchen, dining room and living room. There's a place for everyone! This modern kitchen has brand new appliances and is fully stocked with everything you need. A dining room table that seats 10 and center island with stools provide adequate seating for everyone. Our family had an excellent time staying here! The lake house has great views of the private lake. It was very clean, bedrooms comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with cook wear. The kids had a blast at the beach, swim float, kayaking, peddle boat and row boat. Panfish were biting and good size. Miles of hiking trails on the property were fun to explore. Owner keeps them mowed well. Beautiful lounge area at the river to relax and use the dock. We transported the kayaks up to the Mooney Dam and floated back to the property. Great scenery and wildlife viewing.
Highly recommend this property! You won’t be disappointed!

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, stay at the lake vacation~this is your spot!!! Kids loved just hanging out and disconnecting for a few days! We did travel to Duluth for the train and to see Lake Superior which was an easy drive. Listing is accurate so bring anything and everything not on their list! Enjoyed this vacation so much!

Perfect place to stay for wedding at the atrium

This is an ideal location for a family getaway. The house is spacious and slept 9 of us comfortably. The home is very clean and in excellent shape. There are abundant places to sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake no matter the weather. The kitchen is large with newer appliances and stocked with any cooking pans/utensils you will need. There was a bonus refrigerator in the garage as well which we put to good use. The outdoor area provides for so many activities and the proximity to the lake is huge. Our daughter loved playing on the well maintained beach and we all enjoyed swimming in the lake. The lake water is crystal clear and we had a lot of success fishing including several blue gills and northern pike. The private trail system behind the lake is unbelievable. It allows for direct private access to the Eau Claire river only a five minute walk from the house. We also saw tons of wildlife including deer running through the river and playing in the lake. We met the owner upon arrival and he was incredibly friendly. It is apparent he has gone to great lengths to make the property to make it a great experience for visitors. He even took us out and showed us around the trails which we very much appreciated. We were incredibly happy with this rental and are already planning our trip for next year. Book with confidence!

This was the perfect place to spend time with our family and relax. We enjoyed watching deer in the yard, exploring the trails, listening to the ice on the lake, star gazing, and playing games at the dining table. Would stay again.

Overall this was an a amazing stay I would 100% book again. Everything was very clean and looked exactly as the listing described. The owners are very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and easy to communicate with. You are pretty out of the way and there is so much beautiful scenery, it’s a great place to detach a bit from city life.

We loved staying at the lake cabin. With five adults and two small children, the large space was ample. We loved the variety of seating in and around the house, and the convenience of the two living rooms (we sat in the upstairs room during the day to play, read, and look at the lake, then moved downstairs at night for movies).
Everything was meticulously cleaned, which was a relief with a toddler around.
The kitchen was so well stocked, we didn't need any extra pots, pans or utensils.

We went on a Ranger-riding trip to Gordon, Wisconsin.
We were happy to meet owners Jody and Jim when we arrived! They showed us around which we appreciated.
We had a great stay! The house was spacious and very clean--immaculate! We saw wildlife feeding outside the kitchen window. The private lake was nice--we'll have to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake and all that it has to offer. The 5 miles of trails on their property were groomed and fun to ride on, as were the trails in the area. With no light pollution, the stars and galaxies were a treat to see. This place is a hidden gem!

This has to be the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. From the quality of the property, to the cleanliness, the affordability, and privacy, nothing has topped this place! There are so many private trails to explore! A quiet river with crystal clear water that the kids loved floating down with the current and skipping rocks in. The private lake to swim and kayak in with a platform to jump off was a lot of fun!:) while there were some weeds in the lake, there was a sandy beach and a sandy bottom until about waist high water where you could then start swimming from and as long as you were swimming, you didn't feel the weeds. There were plenty of panfish for the kids to catch right off the dock and a medium to large turtle that was very friendly that came to visit us every day at the dock 😊 We had perfect weather for our vacation, but when it got hot, we could either swim, or cool down in the house. There were so many places to hang out on this property with plenty of seating! We had more than enough wood to burn, and they had everything we needed and more from a coffee maker to a waffle griddle :) We will definitely be back and would like to make this an annual spot to snag😊

We had a wonderful stay. The property and home were as listed and very clean. Make sure, if you are going to do the river float, to check on the water level. Our 2 hour float took 6 hours due to popped tubes and water too low for float.

The hosts are available, friendly and keep the place top notch. The home provided multiple social areas, the bedrooms were laid out nicely for all 4 of our children and their ages and needs (1-7yr olds). Trails to walk, fishing and swimming- the PERFECT getaway.

My family and I loved this place! The home is very comfortable with lots of areas to hang out. The lake is peaceful and great for kayaking and canoeing. We saw lots of deer frolicking at the waters edge daily. We enjoyed a leisurely hike in the woods along groomed trails. The fire pit was a great place to hang out in the evenings. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we didn’t leave for the day of sightseeing we had planned on. We will definitely be back!

This was our annual cabin trip with family and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Loved the private beach/lake. Went kayaking and fishing in row boat. Cabin was spacious with room for all of us. Hosts were very friendly. Would definitely come back!

My wife and I, along with two other couples stayed here for five days/four nights. We had a good time getting away where it is peaceful, and full of outdoor adventures. You will enjoy the private lake! It is quiet, peaceful, and full of fish to catch. There is also plenty of hiking trails, along with the river running through the backside of the property. We did a float trip back to the property. It was fun, but the river could use some more water, like every where else. We caught a few nice smallmouths on the river, which are a great fight!
I would recommend this property to people looking to get away from the rat race, and who enjoy the outdoors. We never left, but if you do decide too, there is also plenty to do in the area as well.
Big thanks to Jim, who was very helpful. He does a lot of work around the property, so you are able to enjoy it!

This property was perfect! Ample room, plenty of beds, big kitchen. It accommodated us so comfortably. The owners are very approachable and easy to talk and work with. I would highly recommend this rental.

We had no issues and really enjoyed our stay on this huge property in Gordon. Close enough to swim in Lake Superior with just a little driving, but also plenty of onsite activities including tubing down the river if you bring along some tubes.
The hosts were great and even checked in to make sure we didn't need anything when power went out for a couple of hours.

We had a wonderful time at this lake house. Check in was very informative, house was clean and tidy. Kids loved the canoes, paddle boats and docks. Caught some good sized pike as well. We would definitely consider going back.

This is the second year in a row that me and a group if friends have stayed at the location. The hosts are great people and the accommodations are perfect for just about any occasion including some down time away from the grind. This will be an annual event.

The property was nothing less than amazing! We were up here in the winter to ice fish some local lakes. Jim did a great job keeping the driveway and parking area clear. The house had everything we needed for a great stay. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Rented the property to host Thanksgiving with family coming from all over. Everything was better than expected. For being secluded, the house is very easy to find. We had 14 for dinner and 8 spent the night. Plenty of room and then some for everyone. We have rented several homes through VRBO and this had to be one of the cleanest we have ever stayed. I never thought any of the others were bad, but this house was noticeably clean from the first step in the door. Hopefully we will get back when there is no snow on the ground and enjoy the property a little more.

Came here for a multigenerational ladies weekend in the fall. This place is GREAT! Had a private lake view, a firepit, plenty of chairs provided for relaxing outside, and a spacious and VERY CLEAN house! Even the beds were comfortable! This would be an awesome rental for families or any sort of friends weekend! Don’t hesitate to rent this gem! You will not be disappointed! We will definitely be back in the future

Our daughter got married at the Atrium in Solon springs this past weekend so we stayed at this clean, spacious, well equipped, amazingly beautiful property. The setting,view, and owners are amazing. I cried when we left this beautiful place. Thank you so much for sharing!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! We loved spending time on the lake kayaking, fishing and swimming. Walking the well manicured trails was a blast! We saw a lot of wildlife deer, turkey, and turtles. The house was clean and had lots of space for spreading out. We used both screened porches. The upstairs porch was great for looking at the stars at night. The kitchen was well stocked and we used the gas grill everyday! Thank you Jody and Jim!

This property was a perfect fit for 5 adults and 3 children. Plenty of space for everyone! Everyone loved the lake access with the kayaks and paddle boat! The ticks were out in full force so that is something to be aware of when walking the trails.

I love being outside and being active but wanted something my friends could also enjoy. This property was PERFECT!! It was absolutely beautiful. There was space for us to hang out inside as well as outside. The four season patio was a hit for us- got to be outside but kept the bugs away! There is so much to do just on the property itself. I would 10/10 recommended this property to anyone!

As good as it gets!
I took my two boys (14 & 10) on our annual fishing trip to Jim and Jody's beautiful vacation property. We've been doing this for a few years now and this place easily blew away any other property we've ever stayed! I've actually been vacationing in Northern Wisconsin for about 40 years and really I have never seen anything like it. From the peaceful lake and river to the endless trails, this property truly has something for all ages. The kids loved fishing and cruising around the lake on the paddle boat and kayaks. Our mornings and nights were spent in the upstairs screened in porch watching and listening to nature. The sites and sounds were unreal. The house itself was immaculate and the kitched was stocked with everything we needed. Jim was super helpful with tips on where to go and things to do! We've never rented the same place twice, always searching for the perfect vacation spot. Well our search is over, I've already booked our stay for next year. The boys and I are counting down the days. Thanks again Jim and Jody, you made our summer!
