Robin's Nest awaits you! As a host, I strive to make sure that you have a relaxing, easy, and fun time while staying at Robin's Nest. This cozy and charming 1910 home has a wrap around porch is the perfect place to spend you spring, summer, and fall evenings. Inside are three bedrooms including a small (as in 8' x 10') 1st floor bedroom, and 2 full baths, living room, dining room, well stocked kitchen and office. The 1st floor bedroom is lets you put children upstairs and gives you privacy. It is also a great place for my renters who have difficulty navigating stairs. The home can be accessed with only two steps.
Everything you will need to enjoy your Northern Michigan vacation is here.... whether you are skiing, golfing, sailing, shopping, cycling, or just relaxing. A well stocked kitchen has just about every tool and cooking basic that you need. Bathrooms have ample towels and toiletries. Seriously, you don't need to pack anything! (When I stay there I typically pack only my Ipad!).
Need to get some remote work in while there? There is a small private office space on the back of the house to give you privacy. Your boss will never know you're gone! Lightening fast internet service lets you work while the kids do whatever it is they do all day on their computers.
Aside from the large wrap around porch, there is a great back yard that includes a fire pit! Perfect for roasting marshmallows.
You are in Harbor Springs for vacation, not to sit in front of a television. However, I have a brand-spanking-new 65" Roku TV. Note that there is not cable TV. I have Netflix and ESPN and the standard faire offered on Roku. I recommend taking a walk instead of watching TV....talking amongst each other is not a bad idea either.

Robin's Nest is a short walk to the waterfront, top notch restaurants, and one of a kind shopping. In the winter, skiing, snowboarding, and cross country skiing are just minutes away. Ski all day and come home to relax in town where you can walk to all that the town of Harbor Springs has to offer. This super charming home is located on a quiet street with very little traffic, and is the perfect 'Up North' getaway at a reasonable price!
Awesome skiing, golf, biking & boating are right here! Harbor Point Golf is 2 minutes away; Boyne Highlands' four award winning courses, Chestnut Valley, True North and many more of the mid-west's best courses are just 10-15 minutes away! For skiers, Nubs Nob and Boyne ski resorts are just 10 minutes away. Ski all day and sleep in town to enjoy the local flavor, shopping & restaurants. Great restaurants include The Pier, Pointer Room, Turkeys, Pierson's, The Willow, and Bar Harbor, and more. I do NOT recommend not eating at New York Restaurant - the owner is the mayor and is a jerk. Unique clothing and gift shops abound in and around town - all within walking distance.

Relaxing Getaway
The covered porch was great for hanging out with the family throughout the day including reading, eating and naps. It is just a short walk to town, but tucked away on a quiet street.

A real find in Harbor Springs
June 22-29, 2019. My son and I enjoyed this cottage very much. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable for us. The beautiful outside porch was a plus! There were new appliances-Regrigerator and washer! Everything was in working order.
I would highly recommend staying here. Robin was an amazing host. She responded quickly anytime I had a question. She even let us use the cottage the week she was planning to use it! The location was also very good!

Great location, family friendly house, wonderful owner
Planned our vacation late in the season and was so happy this property was available. Robin was easy to work with and went above and beyond with ideas and suggestions for things to do for my family and I who had never been to the area before. House was comfortable and cozy with everything we needed. Amazing location with a short walk to town but the peace and quiet of being 5 min away from the hustle and bustle. Would definitely recommend and return again.

It was a great place in a great place
The location was great and I loved the Porch. The rooms were good size for our family. The home, while a little dated, had everything we needed for cooking, towels and toiletries, etc. I appreciated the use of the bikes and the grill, comforts of home.
Our family had a very nice stay and will be back.

Our 3rd Visit
We have visited this house 5 times now and it really feels like home. This was our first time coming in the winter. Robin always responds quickly and works with us on scheduling - in this case, it was too cold to ski on the weekend we had booked and she let us move our reservations to another weekend. She gave us great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. The house is always neat and clean with the walkways and parking spaces were cleared of snow when we arrived. She treats us like family and that keeps us coming back!

It was perfect for us.
It was a great house. We were in town for a wedding. It was convenient to everything. There were 6 of us staying and it worked really well - my parents stayed in the 1st floor bedroom and the children stayed on the 2nd floor with us. It was close to the church and town. We liked that we could walk into town and did not feel stuck at the house.

You wont be disappointed
My wife and I chose this house based on the suggestion of a friend who had also rented this house in the past. They told us to expect a very accommodating home that was convenient, comfortable and charming. I'm happy to report that all of that was true and more. The more was that we really enjoyed meeting the neighbors and being able to read the paper and drink our morning coffee on the porch. I highly recommend renting this place if you have a trip planned to Harbor Springs. We waited too long and found that she was booked for most of the summer already,
You won't be disappointed

Great time in Harbor Springs
The home owner was very helpful as we planned a last minute visit. She gave us good tips on the area and local shops. The house was very clean and laid out well for us and our kids. We really enjoyed sitting on the large porch at night and having a bottle of wine. We would rent this home again.

Just great!
Our family and in-laws shared this home for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The set up of this home is perfect for a family and delivered on everything promised. The living and dining rooms had enough seating for dinner for everyone. The first floor bedroom is small, but the owner described it as such in the ad. My in-laws used that room and they were fine with it. When we were not indoors we were out on the porch and children were in the yard. It was a very nice home and we would go back again.

RENTERS BEWARE
Rented cottage for 1 week- checked out after 48 hrs. Cottage was not suitable for a family or incoming renters. Spent the first 24 hrs cleaning. Listing description and photos were not accurate. There were mouse traps along the foundation of the cottage, aluminum foil stuck in the kitchen floor to keep them out. Owner advised us that the previous renters had two families in the cottage and left it a mess. Not the problem of incoming renters. Checked family into secound cottage for the week.

Perfect Location
This is our third year staying at this house in town. We have stayed at other houses but this is our favorite simply because of the location, convenience, and THE FRONT PORCH! The owner added a bonfire pit in the back yard last year and we used that all the time. She has always made us feel at home in the house. It is a great house for children because of the yard and quiet street so I never had to worry about them.

Great week!
This was a great house to rent for skiing this winter and we have already reserved it for the summer. The house was very clean and exactly as described by the owners. There were lots of thing in the house to make our stay more comfortable - lots of good kitchen supplies, toys for the kids, books, games, etc. Thanks for a great stay and we can't wait unitl summer!

This was a very charming cottage. Our family really enjoyed themselves. With 3 bedrooms there was plenty of room and comfort.

Modernized but kept cottage feeling
We enjoyed the home, it is nicely decorated, and the large new porch will be wonderful in summer, the home is a similar age to one I renovated in IL, and I appreciate the quality work that was done, and the investement they have made to make it modern and up to date, but still keeping the feel of a cottage up North.
It is on a quiet street just a couple of blocks from downtown Harbour Springs. I counted 15 deer in the park next door.
We walked in and immediately felt relaxed. We found the home, clean and well supplied.
There is a newly re-built bakery, just down the street a couple of blocks, and another place to get a Coffee and a newspaper right there also.
We visited in Winter, for skiing at Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands nearby.

Our son suggested visitng...
Our son suggested visitng Harbor Springs on our trip to MI this past weekend. The town is very special. We would love to come back for a longer stay in this cottage. The location is close to downtown. We walked everywhere using the owner's notes as our guide. The house is comfortable. We wish we had more to time to spend reading on the wrapround porch.

We really enjoyed our stay at your home in Harbor Springs. The house was very cozy and inviting. We never left the covered wrap around porch the first day/evening. We brought blankets, enjoyed pizza and wine for our Mom's only weekend. The next day we walked to town and enjoyed the resaurants, beach and shops. Harbor Springs is a little piece of Heaven. Thank you.

Nice place; but should have been a lot cleaner:
Great location and a nice home with a wonderful porch. But, on arrival we spent a good deal of time sweeping up the kitchen and cleaning the main floor bathroom. Floor was revolting, meaning dirty/hairy. Is that what is provided for by the cleaning fee ? This was not my idea of the way to start a vacation.
Won't go back as there are other options. We expected more and left it far cleaner than we found it.

Good for skiing with family
Stayed here last week. Owner was very accomodating for our last minute request (one day notice!) and got the house ready for us. The kids liked the room with the bunks - they all stayed in there and had a slumber party. It is a short walk to town and the kids liked the big Christmas tree in town. Master bedroom really is small, but we only slept in there so it didn't matter. Loved that mattress in the master bedroom! I would recommend this house for families or even a weekend trip for a couple.

Great house for families.
We stayed at this house in August of 2008 with our 3 young kids. We had a great time. The intown beach was an easy walk with stroller/bike ride for our kids (ages 8, 6 and 3). We would walk into town everyday for ice cream, donuts or dinner. Bring your bikes for sure! We were unable to rent a bike with a baby seat on back because they were sold out. Luckily we brought the older kids bikes so they rode a lot. We also drove to Petosky state beach a couple of days where there were more waves then the beach intown. The house itself was clean and the owner very accomodating. The front porch is amazing and very relaxing. Bathrooms/kitchen are pretty basic (nothing fancy) but fine. Living room very cute and cozy. Overall I would definitly recommend this rental!
